In this tutorial, I will share with you how to make a spherical paper lamp covered with triangular shapes. The lamp displays geometric lines running and intersecting on the sphere. This craft is a great addition to your living environment. It infuses a great sense of geometry to your interior and/or architecture.
The paper lamp measures about 18 cm in diameter.
For your safety, please use low energy and LED light bulbs.

Absolutely magnificent ! Just two remarks : Why don't you do a fixing lug on the third side of the pyramid ? And How do you change the bulb ?
The finished polyhedron here looks to me like a _triakis icosahedron_ - very cool.

I've been watching quite some of your videos. Trust me, the work is awesome. Only thing is you need to find ways to make the bulb replaceable.

Lovely lamp! Can you make this with the thinner origami washi or mulberry paper?
For the upper part I recommend to use a stripe of Velcro closure - to change the bulb later on...

Hi Danielle, Yes it is totally doable. In fact, just upsize the template consistently for all the units, you should be able to make a larger one.

Dear EzyCraft - I can not follow up the last steps - from 4:05... I sticked together 5 Pyramids to build a closed circle. But then got lost.. Do you have some Screenshots for the "Finale"?
Hi there. Follow the same pattern as the first unit (5 pyramids). Each joint point will have 5 pyramids pointing to it. Hope this helps.

Hi there.. as with all the paper lampshades in this channel, the choice of light has been stated in the video itself or video description. You will be pretty safe with the low energy or LED light that is lower than 15W. And by all means, construct the light following the video tutorials.

Hi there.. the black paper is about 250 gsm in thickness/weight. You can find them in the craft store or stationery.

Why are there no replies on how to change the bulb, EzyCraft?? You've created some beautiful but sealed lamps: are they single use?? You'd have to partly destroy it to replace a dead bulb....
Hi Sara, unfortunately there is no mechanism for this lamp to be opened for the bulb change. It is however possible to open the lamp by removing a glued triangle with the craft knife. But be careful not to damage it in the process. Good luck.

How many this pieces triangle?
You will need to cut out 20 units... 3 triangle for each unit.. therefore 60 triangles you will need.
