@@pappiricki Golf R and GTI are all made in Germany, no more Mexico, even for u.S., even though robots in either factory assemble the same cars, to the same standards, never had issues with 17+ VW's from Germany or Puelba Mexico wouldn't know if you didn't look at the door sticker my 2019 golf R is germany, has been for a few years now. they moved tiguan for U.S. to Puebla, and soon some EV besides ID 4 gonna be in TN, for U.s., not yet though

Owning a golf gti mk7 it’s disappointing to see the penny pinching from VW on the mk8. Down to even getting rid of the gas strut off the bonnet .
New bonnet is aluminium and has 2 bonnet catches rather than 1! Swings and roundabouts completely here.
