I am sure when the wind is right, this little schooner is the prettiest vessel in the harbor. I would love to have her as a day sailer or weekend ride. However, based upon my limited experience owning a nice sloop, I would estimate the cost of repairing the hull, restoring the rudder and giving the vessel a new hull paint job is in the 10K range. A DIYer could save a lot, but I can see it is going to be a substantial amount of work. That said, I certainly hope someone takes on the project. My days of such fun and sanding have passed.
The hull is absolutely fine. She's been on the hard for one season and the seams that are visible in the deadwood will close up in a day or two afloat. From the garboard up is strip-planked, so there are no open seams. She takes on no water whatsoever. She could use a scrape, barrier coat and a couple coats of anti-foul, but that's about it. The rudder are stern post are reportedly in good serviceable condition. Her biggest challenge is her mainmast (not shown in the video) which might have a season or two left in it but will need to be replaced soon. Other than that, this vessel is pretty much ready to race or cruise.
Should drop by my neck of the woods in the summer, we got some big wooden doreys that are/were all wood, and we're fiberglassed over, but we have one original wooden doreys stashed away totally persevered with no glass, but is in Northern Cape Breton
