I hadn't seen this video before and really enjoyed seeing the progression in so many plants and trees. I particularly liked the Japanese White pine near the end of the presentation. Great work, my friend!👏👌
Thank you John! Unfortunately I lost that tree last summer. Last year was a weird year, lots of people in the northern hemisphere reported problems with pines and even sudden deaths. This tree was my weird story. It grew well for a season after the repotting, all looked well going into winter and then in late spring early summer, it just didn't grow. By August it was brown. Don't know why. Have a great day!
@@ArkefthosBonsai - thank you for the follow up story to that bonsai. I was so sorry to hear that you lost it as it was a beautiful tree. Early on in my bonsai life, I had a juniper that did that, and I felt a deep sense of loss. Take care, my friend, and have a great weekend! 👍
Thank you! It's really frustrating to shoot in between cars passing by or other human rural activity sounds, using directional microphone pointing to the mountains. Plus more editing time. Working to get clean sound is difficult but rewarding. Cheers!
The turtle was so cute :) When you have very brigth background try and use either black for the font or place it in a darker spot. Was hard to read 8:59 Thank you for all the updates. When the fusion project works it is going to be an absolute stunner!
Hello! I discovered you today! Love your videos. I see you use a white substrat. I never seen It. Is It specific for bonsai or you create for each works? Thanks for your beautifull videos.
Thank you Carles! Really nice to have you here! For substrate I use perlite, zeolite and pumice. Plus some organics where needed. That is what you see, combinations of these, which I'm sure you can find where you are. Needless to say I refuse to use akadama! 😉

I have a feeling "Karen" gonna cause trouble lol
Ha ha ha I've been thinking the same thing since February!
What type of soil mix do you use?
I use mixes of perlite, zeolite and pumice 3-5 mm size and for some species I add a bit of organic, which is topsoil from the forest.
