Only the road bit different i think.. hehe As a tour guide i always try to do my best to my guest for memorable and good experience while they travel in Indonesia 🥰🥰🥰

you guys come at the right time... mid of august throughout september are the best. we have a wet dry season this year (which means rain will still fall during dry season) so sometimes you might not see the sunrise in Bromo. I went up to Bromo several times ( as I used to work as part timer tour guide back in college ) but I took the pasuruan route not the probolinggo as i came from Malang. day tour to Bromo is even worth it, on the way (from Pasuruan/Nongkojajar) you can have a great view of the volcanoes on the opposite of Bromo; Arjuna - Welirang...next time, when you have more spare time, try to go to Bromo through Tumpang, Malang... it's even more majestic. FYI you can visit Bromo through 3 different routes; the touristy; Nongkojajar and Probolinggo, or Malang route through Tumpang which is more of trekking route but the view is equally magnificent.
You are very lucky to be able to go see the beauty of Bromo..I'm not even an Indonesian yet to go there... Thank you for your amazing video..hope you are always happy

P.s. you guys missed out on the Independence Day celebrations 17th Aug. should have stayed in Jakarta for a bit, a lot of activities and ceremonies on this day you would have really felt the energy of Indonesia 🇮🇩🦅, nonetheless you guys still looked like you had fun venturing Java. Back then, in 1993-1996, you could have a thin layer of ice from Penanjakan to the Bromo crater side. The ice could be thicker in August. The temperature could drop below 0 Celcius at midnight to dawn, as oil could turn into butter. Back then we could also make a fire in the sand sea or at the side of the crater. The crater side was still so wide that some people could gather, circling a fire pit made of filed parafin stove to cook Indomie or water for coffee. It was still about 3-5 meter wide.

You are very lucky, sometimes we can't see the sunrise, because its cloudy or foggy, Its like ,im from jakarta,i must get my paid leave from my office, and have to take 800km far from jakarta to bromo, and... when im arrived to bromo, waiting for sunrise , and its cloudy. I didn't get the sunrise 😢
Another choice than book a drive to airport 700k idr, u can use bus.. theres a sleeper or vip bus to bali, most of them are with free meal and ofc cheaper than private driver to airport 700k and airplane tickets 😊

I think so but we weren’t able to go at that time, because it the sulphur was too dangerous or something? We can’t quite remember!
