This is due to the disconnection in history so that Javanese people are more familiar with the fairy tales told by their ancestors from generation to generation. That's the love story of Bandung Bondowoso who falls in love with Roro Jonggrang. even when I was little at school the teacher taught that version. But in higher education we have studied true history. In the Prambanan temple complex, the "Roro Jonggrang statue" is actually a statue of the Goddess Durga

before the covid you can climb up to the temple without the tour, that make it really really crowded and sadly some part the temple are are damaged especially the stairs step.
For your info...Borobudur has a "Boronudur car free night"...not just car free, it also have a lot and a lot of shows and food stalls...i 100% recommend to see it...

@@ChaseandShelbs if you are still in Yogyakarta area, go to merapi, the mountain. There they have the memorial side after the last big eruption in 2000ish also the bungker. Then enjoy the sunset at south beach Yogya choose the quiet spot.. No swimming though, its directly the indian ocean.

(I didn't have money before, after I can make money,now I don't have time 😢 ).. but seeing you traveling Together like emhh so good and so excited.. thankful I made the trip to Borobudur and Prambanan in 2016 when ticket prices were much lower and we were free to go up Borobudur temple on our own and go all the way up to the highest level where the stupas are. coincidentally, it rained when we were at Prambanan. lol
As an Indonesians that never been there yet, it looks like well organized and clean.. hope someday I'll be there. Too bad that place have less shelters and restaurant inside.
So many times visited borobudur tample and i loved it.. And your video remember me when i tried to escape and looking for exit gate and i was so confused because so many sign on that place. and the hallway so so long and look like a labirin. Anyways enjoy guys 😘

@@ChaseandShelbs if you are still in Yogyakarta area, go to merapi, the mountain. There they have the memorial side after the last big eruption in 2000ish also the bungker. Then enjoy the sunset at south beach Yogya choose the quiet spot.. No swimming though, its directly the indian ocean.

thankful I made the trip to Borobudur and Prambanan in 2016 when ticket prices were much lower and we were free to go up Borobudur temple on our own and go all the way up to the highest level where the stupas are. coincidentally, it rained when we were at Prambanan. lol

So many times visited borobudur tample and i loved it.. And your video remember me when i tried to escape and looking for exit gate and i was so confused because so many sign on that place. and the hallway so so long and look like a labirin. Anyways enjoy guys 😘
