You don’t need a credit card because virtually everyone accepts debit. Online purchases accept debit card. I buy from amazon using debit card all the time. Most hotels and rental companies also accept cash or debit card. I’ve booked hotel rooms with my debit card multiple times. There’s no need to go into gray areas when clear, easy alternatives are present.
I heard even though if you clear your balance in full which this way does not accrue interest it is still considered haram because the credit card company deals and makes profit through riba anyway?
Of course... The smallest example would be your rent, in which you are paying someone elses bank loan mortgage... The prophet said those even those who claim to not be in riba will verily have the dust of riba upon them. If you want to be out of the war Allah azzawajal has declared, it's near impossible inside of cities, a luxurious life; forget it..
assalam alikum. Allah and after Him His messenger s.w.a.s knows best. Allah has forgiven the mistakes which has been done before the a ayat has been reveled related to the particular matter which forbid it, e.g when alcohol was forbidden after that muslim has abandoned it but before some muslim used to have it. So will consider this as an way of escape and suggesting some one to drink it other than any extreme situation. Having said that please consider the timing of quranic ayat revelation time and the timing of this hadith when it occurred. I would suggest you brother please consider the mentioned fact before suggesting matter like this to muslim brothers. because quran says who ever is involes in riba has raised a war against Allah and His Messenger.

So credit cards are a Hajar yet student loans aren’t ? That makes no sense. Find a different job.
