Wow. Young Nadal looks like mirrored Moya. The same movements, the same shots
Thanks for sharing us this match !
It would be nice if you upload Roger Federer's journey to win the AO in 2004, on his way he beat many great players at the time, such as David Nalbandian, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Lleyton Hewitt or Marat Safin.
It would be great to have clips of all these matches in good quality because it's hard to find on youtube.
is there a full match 2004 AO Nadal vs Hewitt ?
Well we are talking about Hewitt and Nadal. Not Roger. Thanks
Lleyton Hewitt was a fantastic player. He was blessed by a big talent and then he also developed a great work capacity.
When he defeated Pete Sampras in the Australian Open of 2001 everybody thought Hewitt was the mitic american's champion successor. Sampras was able to conquire 12 majors in that moment, one year later Sampras won his 14 Grand Slam after winning the US Open , a record which all us were sure that it would be unbeatable.
But 2004 was the wonderful year for the spanish sport with the stelar appearance of Rafael Nadal. SPAIN MY DEAR COUNTRY and then the whole tennis history grown until a level that nobody could imagine with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Now we also have to the phenomenon Carlos Alcaraz, the spanish crown jewel. He is another player who, in the same way that the Big Three, is increasing the tennis history to the highest climb.
On the contrary, it is incredible to see how USA can't find nor one player that is able to fight for winning a Grand Slam. Total decadence in the american tennis. Australia neither can find a succesor of Hewitt and Patrick Rafter.
Something tells me that we will see that young spaniard winning Slams
It feels like he could win 20+ of them 🙃
At least 22
So original -.-
Are you a fortune teller
16:44 hewitt to Nadal ''hey you fought hard eey''
People forget how good Lleyton Hewitt was. This will remind them.
Nadal was 17 here mate.
Lleyton was one hell of a player. He beat all the best including Sampras, Agassi, Federer, and Nadal. He played in such a tough era though
Nadal looked better in this match tbh
People always forget that he had multiple hip and foot surgeries during his career; very well could have stayed top 5-10 for a long time if it weren't for this. Murray is another example of a great top player who unfortunately has gone through similar in terms of injuries.
@@adityagouravdas929 can't you see that he was already a great player?
RN´s serve ranked 1000 back then it´s mindblowing how far he got with such awful shot only explanable when you see his forehand and his mobility on court but his serve has been a terrible weakness over all his career who knows how much more he could´ve achieved with a decent serve
Saw this live on TV. Immediately knew that Nadal was gonna be huge.
Hewitt's walk to the handshake at the end showed that this guy was a man's man. No look of being sorry that he won. That's real sports not the fakery of feeling bad for the opponent.
Young Nadal could have met world number 2 federer if he had won all his tiebreaks.
Young Rafa hit some awful drop shots in this match... and his net game and serve would get a lot better. But you could already see that this kid had amazing ground strokes - and boy, could he R U N.
i was surprised how cocky he was in this match - as if he knew he would be the bo. 1 player one day
His net was good at his age
The game got "slower" around this time and hurt Lleyton as he was more of a counterpunch to fast serve & volley players.
What a bloody legend Lleyton Hewitt is.
First time I have seen much of this match..Rafa beat Federer that year, so he was already coming up strong..in 2005 Rafa broke through at the French to become an elite top ranked player for many years to come..
Young Nadal used flat forehand in hardcourts. This is what he should do now instead of hitting topspin and allowing sitters for flat hitters.
Courts have changed now, flat hitting doesn't work much in long period
Un adolescente RAFAEL NADAL mostrándole los dientes a todo un LEYTON HEWITT.
This is such an underrated match
This guy might turn out to be a pretty good player!
Lleyton..'Mr EVER READY!'
Rafa!
Spoiler alert: Nadal loses to Hewitt, then Hewitt loses to Federer in R4. And yeah, Roger took the thophy that year...
By the way this is when Nadal was in 1st 2nd gear he wasn't at his best yet.
Donde está el score ?? 🙄🙄
Rafa hardly buggy whips his forehand back in the day
If Hewitt had lost to Nadal then Nadal would have had his first match ever against Federer.
Che no sé como hizo hewitt para ganar este partido cuando en tu vídeo el 90% de los puntos los ganó nadal....
*Hewitt makes a good shot* Crowd: 💥😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
*Nadal makes a good shot* Crowd:
👁👄👁
Less spin from Nadal.
what a weird highlights....
Nadal hit flatter here
Hewiitt le pegaba despacito.
22 vs 2
❤️🔥 thankyou for the highlights always rafa nadal ❤️❤️😘🔥
These highlights are hilariously pro-Nadal and make it seems he was drubbing Hewitt.
Nah, I already knew that Nadal wouldn't beat Hewitt until 2006. Decent highlights.
How many slams has Nadal won against Hewitt? Oh yeah 22 v 2
ナダルのプレースタイルが今と全然違うね。
特にフォアハンド。
