  • What speed can the human body endure? In 1954, John Stapp went through an extreme experiment. He reached a speed of over 1000 km per hour in just 5 seconds, a daring feat to study the human body's response to extreme G-Forces.

@@UncleRuckus7600 acceleration isnt speed. Also 1000kmh isnt the fastest by a long shot. We have jets from the 60s that can do mach 3.2

@@UncleRuckus7600 it went 1017kmh. 1234kmh is mach 1. And again. Acceleration isnt top speed

Imagine the people that unknowingly sacrificed themselves figuring out which sticks you can cook with.

This means humans are capable of higher g force. Might depend on the bone’s strength not getting crushed. There can be improvements for receiving oxygen during experiencing high g force. The safe amount of g force would be 9 g and I wonder how long some people can handle it. If traveling to mars at 9 g it’ll take 12 days to reach the planet.

He did this to prove that seatbelts are necessary as the airforce thought the human body was too weak to survive a crash to even consider seat belts as they thought people would already be dead by the time they were ejected from the seat.

how did he not die because gs pull down to gravity but he pulled 45g-25g and the average g to a roller coster is 5g-3g and a f-10 pilot has 9.2g-10.5g so how did he not die

That is a good question. Besides his motivation and all the training, he was wearing a G-suit. All in all, a lot of preparation went into the test.
