My son has been having episodes since he was 6 months and I took him in, I've made appointments and was told it didn't look like seizures and that he would grow out of it but I was still referred to a specialist who said it looked like seizures then book some kind of brain scan, but he stopped having them but we still went to the appointment we had and there was no sign of seizures. He hasn't had them for almost 10 months now and it came back, but now his eyes twitch and his mouth twitches too... happens everyday and now we're back to appointments 😭
My daughter fell down when she was one year and nine months got blackout but we sort medical help but months after she started getting seizures... She now 5 years and taking sodium valporate what are chances that she will get

@Dr. Omar Danoun Sir they tested me by keeping a light (may be orange light) in front of me and by switching off and switching on the light but the before day I took the tablet (brevipil 50mg once a day after dinner) and I won't get the physical seizures if I take the tablet and they asked me to get into sleep but I was not able to get into sleep because just before taking the eeg test I had coffee , can this test report be considered authentic ?

He is now three and he has now started to have limped left arm and leg after these episodes. I think it is Todd parlisTodd’s paralysis. But no one will listen 😢. His Dr hasn't done any type of genitc testing EVER.. Only EEG and we can never catch an episode when he's hooked up.

Good afternoon, my son, 18, has seizures at night since 5 years - he takes 3 different medicaments and is a "walking zombie" not able to concentrate in school. Where are you locared? We took 2 medicaments away and go on only with Lovos 1000mg at night. First he was reacting with seizures now after 6 weeks much more calm and "happier" as a person.... can these nightly seizures damage his brain?? Being on such strong medicaments also gives him so much side effects???

Doesn't a patient have to be having a seizure during an eeg for epileptic seizures to show up on the eeg? I have read in multiple articles that seizures don't show up on an eeg if the person isn't having them when the eeg is being done.
A seizure will show up on a eeg but you do t need to have one to be diagnosed. Because epilepsy is a “electrical problem “ in the brain that will show up. It will show to much, a seizure, or to low.
Please read my writing. I am 24 years old. Almost three years ago, one morning I experienced my first seizure while asleep. And the type of seizure was like this, (At first, I felt a slight twitch in my head. Within minutes, that twitch increased, my eyes rolled back, my limbs stiffened and became rigid. Until then, I was conscious. Sounds like snoring came from my mouth, saliva dribbled from the corner of my mouth, and my body bent completely sideways. After a while, then it emerged from my mouth like a foam, I became unconscious) When consciousness returns, there is physical weakness with a headache for several hours. Such seizures have occurred to me 6/7 times in total in three years, and each time in a state of sleep in the morning. I haven't told anyone about it until now. But now I have started its treatment. My EEG & MRI are showing normal results. The doctor has prescribed Oxetol 300 mg for me every day. Do you have any advice on this matter? Or can I ever be completely free from it?

I had a lumbar puncture and eeg completed a while ago and nothing came back concrete. I have noticed my seizures around before and right in the beginning of my menstrual cycle. I am on a whole regime of medications and feel hopeless because the doctors I’m working with haven’t said or done anything.
I had my first seizure two weeks before my first period, and was more likely to have seizures and migraines midcycle, and just before periods.. Hormones can effect seizure threshold in some people. I went into early menopause as a side effect of chemotherapy, which helped wutg both seizures and migraines.

He has been on Epilepsy medication for the past two years.
They need monitoring by liver function and blood tests like we explained in the video.. You can review the videos on the medications as well

I did not see any reported cases of GBS because of antiseizure medications

No need to see a seizure on EEG to make the diagnosis. Even in between seizures there will be abnormal electricity showing

Can you derive medication from EEG? Especially when there are multifocal AND generalized epileptic potentials?
Possible.. But this is case by case basis

Minoxidil does not seem to affect epilepsy

Yes we have very good pediatric Epileptologists in the area.. Look for an Epilepsy center for children and you will find them
