The movie of this story starring Angela Landsbury is amazing, it won awards for its effects back in the 70's. I have a copy on DVD. Its truly one of the best horror/fantasy movies I have seen.
Leanne Yes, the special effects in the film were amazing. I think he won an award for the special effects in the American werewolf in London and for the effects in thriller with Michael Jackson turning into a werewolf!
@@PaddedCellStudio the voice was perfect too. not overly dramatic neither dull. It rang as it should. Please read more by Angela Carter. I'm partially blind, and audio format is my best friend. I'm subscribed now, and looking forward to more content.
Wonderful reading! Especially loved the bridal party sound fx ;o) Would you/she consider reading The Bloody Chamber too? The present recording is so disappointing.
Padded Cell Studio well, the narrator is definitely female. ;o) The version I listen to was read by a woman, even though the name on the recording was male, I thought. The sound quality was just terrible. That was my problem with it. You would do a wonderful job. In fact, I ‘ll subscribe just so I don’t miss BC if you decide to record it.

1980s...I was 15 when I saw it 1st
The movie was made in the 1980's not 70's
@@admiralackbar9307 well it was back in the olden days before digital effects, which was the point Admiral nitpik lol.
@@citizenjane3648 The movie is from 1984, which still was lightyears away from digital effects. It's not a nitpick lol
I really like the sound effects. This was fantastic!
That means a lot, thanks. Glad you liked it.

Lynn Duvall Do you think the bloody chamber is suitable for a female voice, or a male voice? I have been thinking about doing it…
