I think Brunei does not get the publicity it deserves. I was ignorant of Brunei and was thinking it is just one of those overly traditional ancient kingdom that made their ways thru the modern world. I was all wrong. Brunei is a very rich nation, culturally and economically. And the Bruneians are on the top list of most civilized nation in Asia. An easy-going and generous people and at the same time keepers of an age-old set of traditions. If India is incredible, Brunei is adorable.
I agree that Brunei is over looked by travelers. To be honest I almost skipped it during my trip out in Borneo. I'm so glad I decided to visit the country!
I am from Somalia, I love Brunei, I love the Sultan who declared the implementation of the shari'ah law as the country's law. may Allah bless all Bruneian people and their sultan.
hope you enjoy our lovely & beautiful country in Brunei. please be sure to invite the rest of your family in your country to come here. they definitely going to love it. Terima Kasih 🇧🇳🇧🇳🇧🇳
As a Malaysian Muslim of Bruneian ancestry living in the Malaysian state of Sabah, I feel lucky because I can drive all the way to Brunei with my Malaysian car!
You're so lucky, you came at the right time... I mean, foreigners usually visit during school days.. In return, we got many negative feedbacks because of the lack of people walking around during day time.... So they actually judge badly.... But woww good for you,, you picked the best time
Nazim is such a fantastic host. He brought you to a lot of interesting places (well only the mosque and empire) but the raya experience is rather a unique experience. Most importantly you guys get to visit the palace which cant be done in most countries.

last year Hari Raya, n 1st day Palace open for public. I was there at the same time. I did see u there... Btw, hope meet you these year Hari Raya... Tq for coming.
I am a local Bruneian and I have been living in Brunei for 22 years... I haven't met the Sultan face to face and never get the chance to shake hands with him so congrats for achieving the things that I can't achieve..
Hi Patrick I'm a Bruneian.. it was such a beautiful comments you've got there about Brunei. By the way I just got back from San Francisco and it was amazing.
Three questions/comments. Wasn't the Sultan of Brunei considered to be the richest man in the world at some point? I believe he has the biggest Rolls Royce collection in the world. I also think his presidential palace is the biggest in the world(@4:10 you also said this...lol).
Maverick Watch Reviews. Indeed he was considerd as "world richest leader" with tonnes of generosity is icomparable zillion as he handed over 28,000 houses to his landless/poor/non muslim indigenos of dusun, etc really most respectful as human being. He is also smart leader that comfortably brought brunei as world top wealthiest as he invested largely to oversea to gain substantial income from investment. Check " BIA" of Brunei
thank you so much for visiting our country.😍 we bruneians appreciate it so much. and just a tip. maybe for another time , if you want or could go to the times square or the mall gadong in brunei those are the most places which most people watch movies and just buy at shopping mall or maybe at delima /serusop area [psst. that's near from my house hehe] and maybe on Sunday Brunei has "Bandar ku ceria" which lots of activities such as cycling and many more.. oh yeah they also have stalls which sells various things. this "Bandar Ku ceria" will be ONLY on sundays and only in the morning until 12 pm and if you have time don't forget to visit the Kianggeh market. there you will find (some from other part of Borneo) and local fruits and drinks /foods and you can find tropical fruits like rambutans, durians, langsats' and many more here at kianggeh market most people visit on Friday and sunday 4 am in morning until 12 pm.[here i helped my mom sell her fruits too hehe] again thank you for visiting our country 😊 • i think I've seen you somewhere but i forgot maybe 😂 sorry about that anw i already subscribed your channel 😊
I has discovered your channel oday due to kazahstan videos, you do such a great job ! if you come to spain you have a free guide in Reus and Tarragona ! ( which are a must travel in catalonia )
Gorgeous mosque!! Wow!! The Sultan! I'd like to see Indonesia as a tourist does. I think they're related people. If you go I'll watch. Needed a break from seeing one of the travelers I watch--something different.
Really? If I go I'll have to see it. The mosque and the beautiful day! Okay. I'll plan to stay tuned in. May your travels be fun! I think many people who teach English internationally aren't very interested in seeing the world. You are! I'm glad you can afford to go!
@@MarkBH70 no. Brunei is closely related more with malaysia. Indonesians are mostly javanese and not malay. While brunei and malaysia are mostly malay ppl. Our food, clothing, traditions are all the same.
