      All answers are made by problems just like in math. Literally cannot generate an answer without its problem. If we have the problems it's not even necessary to have the answers.

      I was trying to make an important decision while listening to Carbon Based Lifeforms and was driving myself mad with overthinking things, and then I heard this...and I stopped in awe. It's not about knowing what the right decision is, that insight may not be accessible (not until you grow your intuition), it's about knowing and owning your reasons and taking full responsibility. If you can make a choice without feeling the need to blame it on something or someone, then it's probably the right choice. You don't HAVE TO do anything. The answers come after you decide.

      @@polarbear242 in this universe, it would obviously be 10.
      But in a different universe, you can think of it in a different ways.
      You have 3 apples, and you get 7 more.
      Everyone would say that you got 10 apples now, right?
      But you don't have 10 apples. Cause each apple has different shape/size, so each is different from the other.
      Parallar logic on planet earch would be "3 oranges + 7 apples = ?
      You can't answer that since you're talking about two different objects.
      Same here, then.
      A logic of 3+7=10, is for you to believe. You chose to believe it.
      Others may choose a different beliefs.

    • @bleak95
      @bleak95 7 років тому +6

      If your life were so simple that you could be granted such a thing, would you not then be so simple that you could not appreciate it as you would as you are now?
      And yet, this proposed jellyfish, simple as it may be, lives in the same world as all; complicated all the same. Then, the difference is not so much in being, like having the absolute answer, so much as these existential movements we call choices, as in the method by which we conduct ourselves through being. In the absence of an absolute moment or a quantitative 1 time, we must reconsider our views of ourselves and those around us not as absolute and so singular beings, but as moving growing life.
      As much ease may be granted through a metamorphosis into your proposed jellyfish, I care to enjoy how to simplify things as a process, to learn and understand the makeup and function of things, so that I may see these choices around me less as the ostensible chaos they can so easily and so often appear to be.

    @xor12 I wish to ''challenge'' your side of perspective. How can free will be the only emotion a human can bare if many humans fear their own emotions? If it's so free, what are we truely hiding from? Obviously anger, sadness, and happiness are emotions aswell. There is no way we would hide from something that has no drawbacks. You forgot one thing besides that one constant. There are also questions. Choices are not the same as a question. 'Every answer is just another question'' Hope you reply.

    There is a place in the Med, on the South-West of Majorca where, at around the second week of September, the purple egg-yolk jellies come to die. It's sad but at the same time wonderful, to swim among them, they're perfectly harmless. Some of them have symbiotic fish that live inside them... Very beautiful, very serene, like the music. :)

Don't take this as an imposition, it's just an advice on how to stop limiting yourself; the only limits we have are our beliefs. Root them out, just do what you want without limitations. We all are already shining the lights of our beauty

      It's called set theory because Gödel's incompleteness theorem (which can equivalently be stated in the language of set theory) essentially says: "There are no answers". Zorn's Lemma on the other hand (equivalently the axiom of choice, in set theory) asserts that there are "choices". Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you?

    • @NisiCaloponis
      @NisiCaloponis Рік тому

      @@Ambient_Scenes I understand but neither gödel theorem nor Zorn lemma states what you believe and said. Gödel theory essentially says, in every axiomatic system (let say, strictly edited language) there will be always statements which are true, but cant be mathematically proved without completing the system by alien stuff of that sytem. An other form of the theory states that there will be always statements which cant be proven, nor refuted. Zorn lemma states that if you have infinite set of sets, you can maek a representation set always which contains one and only thing from all of the said sets.
