I got mine last week , ran 500 rounds using Blazer and Standard velocity CCI to break things in with not one feed issue .I clean and oil it every 100 to 150 rounds because the Blazer ammo is pretty dirty. Got mine to group one inch to one and half at 60 yards . I cant fault it so glad I got one
got mine christmas eve and it's stunning as soon as you hold one you will have to have it... resistance is futile ...already put 800 rounds through it... up until now i thought my sig sauer 522 was the best 22 out there but this is the next level .
hi there freestreamer34... i have also used blazer and cci standard with good results also eley contact this is really good ammunition as is eley sport also american eagle all with great results no feed issues more or less faultless i agree with you the blazer is a very dirty ammo .. the only ones i have had problems with is remington golden bullet it really didn't like these i had quite a lot of failure to feed and gave up with them in the end but these are really super budget ammo i shan't be getting anymore of these
As you promised on week on the full review. Like the look of this and especially the full metal construction. Guy at the club had got one in green and so far is happy. The Ruger barrel option is clever
Personally I don't think this beats the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. I don't know why people complain about the polymer. I replaced my handguard with a Midwest Industries one, had the barrel chopped down to 12", added a barrel shroud, and then if you add an optic you can easily add more weight to it. I just think its a flawless design and does what it is meant to. Though this is close. My issue is with the magazines, 15 rounds isn't enough, they look like a bit of a pain to load as well. At least it has a proper bolt hold open, many don't. I personally prefer lighter weight for shooting off-hand.
by the way racknload ..the forward assist does work and is fully functional... the bolt body is keyed so the assist button engages i have used it a few times when the rifle gets dirty and get the odd round not fully seated
i actually have the krytac (airsoft devision of kriss) version of this rifle & after seeing your review bud it has just made my mind up for my new .22 as everything I have that fits on the airsoft rifle will drop straight onto this. the Krytac by no means feels like your standard bb gun & I bet if I put the 2 next to each other without you picking them up you would be extremely hard pressed to tell the difference! awesome review bud!!
The innards look good. I like the way it is all held together, I hate the way the CMMGs have their bolt hold open fall out the moment you open them and the forward assist plastic falls out when you pull out the bolt group.
Seems a quality carbine with the right premium materials. Polymer is good only for secondary parts like magazines (not pistols), stocks... Good review👍 The SHIELD optic on top is also really interesting, they have a high reputation, seems a model with side controls.
Yes, you can replace the handguard with other standard handguard. You can't use this gun's handguard on another AR upper though, the gas tube would be blocked by it.
I heard that the 1022 barrels dont fit in there as standard? Read an article that said it needed two screw holes milled into the barrel.... any idea if this is true ?
Neil unfortunately i just sold my 15-22 however i want to buy a new ar 15 22lr but i want a full steel not polymer would you say this is the best off the full steel ar15 22lr.
Hey Rack, any idea if a slim suppressor would fit under the handguard? Would very much like to get one of these, chop the barrel to 12" and add a supressor for an integrally suppressed look.
RACKNLOAD hi your mod would have to be custom. I tried to put my 22lr dm80 on a kriss the other day and it wouldnt fit but only just. Another 2mm and all would have been fine
ryan goodman Ok thanks. I still plan to buy one and experiment. Perhaps if I chop the barrel to 12" and find a very slim moderator that isn't an over- barrel design it may fit.
I can't see what the big deal is about swapping barrels. If the Kris Defiance is relying and pushing this feature, are they saying the barrel provided is sub standard? I think the price is a bit on the high side (£950ish) for a 22lr mini rifle. A standard 10/22 with an ATI or similar stock, Volquartsen barrel, tuned trigger, you would most likely have a more accurate rifle and still have a few quid over for ammo. Thoughts?
@@robdev6817 I think this is honestly amazing and for a special few that appreciate a high quality aluminum real ar platform 22 or rifle. Its everything I've been looking for.
Tippmann is slightly better in my opinion. Used both of these rifles and the Tippmann is more reliable at shooting different types of ammo thanks to the buffer tube. Both are great rifles though and have great accuracy and build quality.
pvtsnoballz we was testing both the rifles with different ammos and the tippmann didn’t have any faults at all with the ammo but the kriss had trouble cycling sub sonic ammo. We put it down to the buffer tube spring.
Hi buddy, to be fair I didn't do a paper punching test because this one was wearing a red dot rather than a scope. But I know they are very accurate with decent ammo. I have one on order lol!
how is everyone's last round bolt hold open working ? mine seems to work for the first 50 rounds or so what ever ammo i use then stops functioning this must be due to dirt as i always start with a freshly cleaned rifle i'm hoping as the gun loosens off with use this will rectify it's self ..
Hi Andrew mines is ok with the defiance mag,I got a new black dog mag today ,it doesn't hold the bolt open. The only problem I have is getting the muzzle brake off for a suppressor the thing is solid, have you tried yours?
I had it in a vice rapped in a towel at my gun shop ,tried heating it and it didn't budge, I was worried he was going to damage it.I'm going to make wooden blocks with a cutouts for the barrel I think that will help loosen it.
yes i did.. i found out it was the spring in the magazine it wasn't strong enough to press the follower up properly after the last round loaded and this in turn operates the hold open catch in the mag which presses the catch in the receiver i had some sig magazines which are 30 round the spring is about an inch longer i put one of these springs in the mag and its never missed a beat since perfect.. i was talking to someone else at my range who also has a defiance and his is the same.. i told him the fix also been firing a lot more rounds and the best ones for me by far are cci standard they have been faultless even better than mini mag

Solid review and love the fact that it has all the features of a regular AR. Working forward assist and bolt release.
Not quite, The Kriss hasn't got the functioning buffer tube, the recoil spring is incorporated in the bolt.
1/2"x28 TPI is a unef thread which is standard AR not unf as stated which is a fairly standard british muzzle thread. Lovely rifle though .

I was going to get a CMMG, struggled to get one ,got one of these instead glad I did after hearing what you said about them.

Bloody hell! Yet another one I'm going to have to buy!! Hope you had a good Christmas mate.
Kriss Defiance DMK22C .22 VS. Tippmann Arms M4-22 ELITE
Which one should I get?
Happy New Year Racknload. Looking forward to new stuff from your channel for 2018!
Definately on my list to buy, had a slot waiting for something like this!!
Is the upper threaded the same as a regular ar? Can you fit and install aftermarket handguards, like ones from Midwest Industries, Fortis etc?
Yes, you can replace the handguard with other standard handguard.
You can't use this gun's handguard on another AR upper though, the gas tube would be blocked by it.
I'll be picking one up in the new year. Going to completely strip her down and rebuild from the ground up. Going to make a real race gun.
+Daniel Smerald You will love it mate
RACKNLOAD got plans down the line of what to build etc. Chat soon bud
Buying this in may can't wait
Does anyone know if S&W 15-22 mags will work in this and actuate the last round bolt hold open?
Yes and yes
I still don't know how to remove that stock
I heard that the 1022 barrels dont fit in there as standard? Read an article that said it needed two screw holes milled into the barrel.... any idea if this is true ?

It would be the one I'd go for....
RACKNLOAD which other one? Cz 512 tactical?
Would I able to get one of these as a first gun when I apply for my firearms license
Yes.
Hey Rack, any idea if a slim suppressor would fit under the handguard? Would very much like to get one of these, chop the barrel to 12" and add a supressor for an integrally suppressed look.
+ApurtureSci Hi buddy, that's a good question, you need to measure the inside of the hand guard then find an over barrel mod that will fit...
RACKNLOAD hi your mod would have to be custom. I tried to put my 22lr dm80 on a kriss the other day and it wouldnt fit but only just. Another 2mm and all would have been fine
ryan goodman So most .22 moderators are too large to fit under the handguard?
ApurtureSci hi yea im quite sure most are to big, the hand guard is quite slim and barrel quite thick. Not much room at all between
ryan goodman Ok thanks. I still plan to buy one and experiment. Perhaps if I chop the barrel to 12" and find a very slim moderator that isn't an over- barrel design it may fit.
„Full review” without any mention of accuracy? Please write someting about how accurate is that rifle?
10/22 accurate I'd guess as it can use 10/22 barrels?

What model red dot are you using?
Great review.
+stephen murnane Cheers buddy
light grey background works better, wood is the best tho
Will these accept standard AR drop in triggers?
The manual says they do, I have also seen one with an aftermarket trigger
Wondering if i should get rid of my 15-22 for one off these.
Do it! Major upgrade
I was getting interested in getting an AR .22. And now Ruger are going to flog that Rimfire Precision I have lost all interest.
+clangerbasher Rimfire Precision????
ruger.com/products/precisionRimfire/models.html
clangerbasher that’s a bolt action though so not directly comparable to this mate
I wanted a secondary rifle with an adjustable stock and pistol grip. Something other than a big chunk of wood or plastic connected to a tube.
Where can I buy these in the UK??? Licence due soon and this could be the first purchase!!!
Livens gun shop
Please can you revue the Polish Beryl AKM .22lr?
Do they sell 10rd mags for it???
How would you compare this to the new Tippman m4-22lr ?
+Zarren Spry Not used the Tippman buddy...
Tippmann is slightly better in my opinion. Used both of these rifles and the Tippmann is more reliable at shooting different types of ammo thanks to the buffer tube. Both are great rifles though and have great accuracy and build quality.

I'll stick with my Tippmann M4 Elite L.
Hey mate
How does it group at 50m?
Looking at buying one.
Cheers Kurt

Thanks for dude
Splitting it between a full Kidd rifle the the Kriss.
The kidd rifles stick it to an Anschutz bolt guns..

yes i think that's the best bet ...wooden blocks nice and tight but they won't mark the barrel
did you get the LRBHO problem fixed?
yes i did.. i found out it was the spring in the magazine it wasn't strong enough to press the follower up properly after the last round loaded and this in turn operates the hold open catch in the mag which presses the catch in the receiver

also been firing a lot more rounds and the best ones for me by far are cci standard they have been faultless even better than mini mag
would it be legal to own a 22 magnum semi automatic?
godzilla brur largest legal semi auto Cal is the .22wmr in the UK on a section 1 license
If its .22 and rimfire its legal.
ua-cam.com/video/lwzUGYX1WgA/v-deo.html - like this ?
Yeah, there's a company that makes AR-15s in .22WMR
Nice video as always. Your only problem is that you're lefty.
Just bought one shoots well but it jams like a bitch.
CCI standard and SK standard plus.
Any ideas?
You got a moderator on it?
Very boring video edition is missing, and a script I norther of not repeating the same thing several times
Sorry buddy, I don't understand what you have written... Script wise, I just use bullet points. How do you do your videos, I'll check your channel when I get chance...
Could you repeat that in English?
