"You make me feel like my troubled heart is a million miles away" is by far my favorite line. I'm a 28 year old guy from the US. Played Pokemon since I was probably 8 or 9, spent a ton of time on it. The series was always with me, even into adulthood (though I took intermittent breaks periodically). Went through a lot of family issues growing up, music (playing guitar, bass, etc.) and video games is what I normally leaned on to escape most of it. Like most people, I grew very attached to the series, and harbor a ton of nostalgia for it. As an adult, I still play when I have time. A lot of people I've known never understood why I stick with Pokemon even as a grown man. They don't understand. The series and my music is what got me through the hard times growing up, and I could never give them up. The fact that this emotion and nostalgia that I've had is realized in this song- and literally what has been on my heart for so long being shared with the world in such a well executed song and production is just unreal. I cry everytime I listen to this song. I'm crying writing this comment. Thank you, Ed Sheeran. Thank you so much.

Characters in fiction and ourselves in the real world. Even though we live in different worlds, I felt that my friends who had adventured with me were right by my side, and I cried when I realized it. really great song.

As an introverted kid who didn't have friends at the time, Pokémon still made my childhood worth remembering, and to this day I occasionally play one of the many games, at 28. This songs means a lot to me. I was imagining all those Pokémon next to me as a kid too and seeing the Mewtwo movie scene really opened a Pandora box of childhood memories. Same. I just beat it tonight, and this song hit just right for that ending. Not certain I ever would have suspected an Ed Sheeran song to appear in a Pokémon game, but it is definitely going to be one of my favorite songs for a bit.

This is an amazing song. I'm 29 and Pokemon Ruby was the first game that I played way back when I was a timid 12 year old. Played Sapphire, Emerald, Heart Gold, Fire Red and Diamond after that through most of high school and college. Pokemon got me through a lot of hard times in life. I’m obsessed with this. I grew up very isolated and full of social anxiety. I couldn’t even go to school most days. I still struggle. But sometimes just playing some Pokémon solves everything for awhile. It really made me feel like a champion. I love playing new games as they come out… super hyped for SV! This song absolutely made my month. This hasn't been an easy year, but Pokemon has been the one big constant in my life. Not only that, the ENTIRE LAST PORTION of this, the animated section, felt like such a warm hug to those of us who have played since the beginning. I actually cried at that.
This strikes such a chord for me and I'm sure plenty of others in our age range Not only do we have this history of Pokemon the video game - the unplugged experiences in life were just as amazing. Growing up, I remember going into the yard to play Pokemon (using our imaginations and a GIANT red medicine ball) with my next door neighbor. We truly bonded and escaped the realities of life in those moments. The scenes in this video where Pokemon are there but not really reminds me of all of the pretend moments playing that we had Pokemon in real life - those memories are just as vivid and real. When I was a kid, I could "see" them. My Growlithe was my best companion in our games. I honestly didn't realize how others might've -must have- experienced the same exact thing, unique to themselves. It was honestly a buried memory until I watched this collab video. I was playing Pokémon since 13. I was in a dark place. My mind broke and I got a Pokémon Yellow. It seem like a light shown through the fog. It was my first Pokémon game and my first gameboy. I played it for half an hour. It was a very sad Christmas but the happiest to me. So, I still have my first Pokémon game. I could never sell it. Pokémon became a very sentimental thing to me.

Lots of people here due to Scarlet/Violet, this song fits the game's storyline really well.. I got Scarlet and the ending honestly made me emotional because of the loss I have faced in my life. This song is a resounding resolution to the series and how it has been the backbone to many people who grew up with the series. Also. Back when Pokemon was in its hayday (the mid and late 90s) they had a lot of very popular artists create songs for the movie soundtracks (they still hit). Honestly I'm really happy to see this part of Pokemon back, sorely missed and glad it was put to a game this time around.

This... the music video almost made me tear up as I felt what it means to be a life long Pokemon fan from it. I grew up during the age of the anime at it's highest peak, the games were new to the GB and you know, being a 90's kid, Pokemon was my world, I was in love with the series. I was so very much into the anime and Pikachu was an imaginary friend to me. This video brought back the feelings of that time, because I felt the way all the Pokemon were like in the video, were like, imaginary friends and the way that Pokemon has left an impact on our lives growing up, mine especially, I can't deny the emotional impact everything has brought. But also seeing the anime part of this video references the first Pokemon movie has everything I needed, because that's still my favorite Pokemon movie. I still even have the promotional cards that Burger King had to promote the movie with pictures from the movie. This video was worth the watch if you're a Pokemon fan and I love it.

I've been a long time Pokemon fan -- Pikachu was my first ever toy when I was a baby, now I'm turning 23 this December! I've followed the games from first generation up until the upcoming ninth generation, Scarlet and Violet, and have been the biggest fan of the anime! So why don't you go back to your adult job sitting at a desk and doing menial tasks constantly? I'm a 28 year old guy from the US. Played Pokemon since I was probably 8 or 9, spent a ton of time on it. The series was always with me, even into adulthood (though I took intermittent breaks periodically). Went through a lot of family issues growing up, music (playing guitar, bass, etc.) and video games is what I normally leaned on to escape most of it. Like most people, I grew very attached to the series, and harbor a ton of nostalgia for it. As an adult, I still play when I have time. A lot of people I've known never understood why I stick with Pokemon even as a grown man. They don't understand.
The series and my music is what got me through the hard times growing up, and I could never give them up.
The fact that this emotion and nostalgia that I've had is realized in this song- and literally what has been on my heart for so long being shared with the world in such a well executed song and production is just unreal. I cry everytime I listen to this song. I'm crying writing this comment.

去年、実家へ帰省した時、暇になると思いスイッチとポケモンバイオレットを持って行きました。
実家に帰るとインターネットもパソコンもないため、ずっとポケモンばかりしてました。
その壮大なストーリーも終盤、仲間との力を合わせて困難を乗り越えてエンディングでこの曲が流れた時、感動で涙が出そうでした。
親が運転する車の助手席でこのエンディングを聞きながら、小さい頃、親の運転する車の後部座席でずっとポケモンやっていた自分を思い出し、懐かしく思いながら、「エド・シーランがポケモンのエンディング歌ってる！」とまるで子どもに戻ったかのように親に言ってた自分にしてくれるポケモンは、社会人になった今でも大好きです。
初めてfinal trailerで聴いたときは「いい曲だな〜」位にしか思わなかったのに、エンディング見た後に聴いたら涙腺ぶっ壊れて以来、毎日リピートしてる

As an introverted kid who didn't have friends at the time, Pokémon still made my childhood worth remembering, and to this day I occasionally play one of the many games, at 28. This songs means a lot to me. I was imagining all those Pokémon next to me as a kid too and seeing the Mewtwo movie scene really opened a Pandora box of childhood memories. This is an amazing song. I'm 29 and Pokemon Ruby was the first game that I played way back when I was a timid 12 year old. Played Sapphire, Emerald, Heart Gold, Fire Red and Diamond after that through most of high school and college. Pokemon got me through a lot of hard times in life. This strikes such a chord for me and I'm sure plenty of others in our age range
Not only do we have this history of Pokemon the video game - the unplugged experiences in life were just as amazing. Growing up, I remember going into the yard to play Pokemon (using our imaginations and a GIANT red medicine ball) with my next door neighbor. We truly bonded and escaped the realities of life in those moments. The scenes in this video where Pokemon are there but not really reminds me of all of the pretend moments playing that we had Pokemon in real life - those memories are just as vivid and real. When I was a kid, I could "see" them. My Growlithe was my best companion in our games.
I honestly didn't realize how others might've -must have- experienced the same exact thing, unique to themselves. It was honestly a buried memory until I watched this collab video. Seriously - thanks for resurfacing those memories, Ed, they are SO precious to me.

I was playing Pokémon since 13. I was in a dark place. My mind broke and I got a Pokémon Yellow. It seem like a light shown through the fog. It was my first Pokémon game and my first gameboy. I played it for half an hour. It was a very sad Christmas but the happiest to me. So, I still have my first Pokémon game. I could never sell it. Pokémon became a very sentimental thing to me.

This song was absolutely incredible. I can’t even express how this video made me feel. It was like I was reliving all my childhood memories all over again. Especially when Slowpoke came on screen, one of my all time favorites as a kid. The nostalgia was insane.

I mean, yeah true although I think Mihoyo or Square/Disney were some of the early ones to get actual popular singers to sing for their game’s songs. Like Sanctuary, face my fears had Hikaru Utada. For Mihoyo with honkai impact 3 they had many singers for multiple songs. Some big ones they had was Zhou Shen for the song Rubia, and Ayanga sang Regression.

Lots of people here due to Scarlet/Violet, this song fits the game's storyline really well.. I got Scarlet and the ending honestly made me emotional because of the loss I have faced in my life. This song is a resounding resolution to the series and how it has been the backbone to many people who grew up with the series.
Also. Back when Pokemon was in its hayday (the mid and late 90s) they had a lot of very popular artists create songs for the movie soundtracks (they still hit). Honestly I'm really happy to see this part of Pokemon back, sorely missed and glad it was put to a game this time around.

This... the music video almost made me tear up as I felt what it means to be a life long Pokemon fan from it. I grew up during the age of the anime at it's highest peak, the games were new to the GB and you know, being a 90's kid, Pokemon was my world, I was in love with the series. I was so very much into the anime and Pikachu was an imaginary friend to me.
This video brought back the feelings of that time, because I felt the way all the Pokemon were like in the video, were like, imaginary friends and the way that Pokemon has left an impact on our lives growing up, mine especially, I can't deny the emotional impact everything has brought. But also seeing the anime part of this video references the first Pokemon movie has everything I needed, because that's still my favorite Pokemon movie. I still even have the promotional cards that Burger King had to promote the movie with pictures from the movie.
This video was worth the watch if you're a Pokemon fan and I love it.

This songs been on repeat since yesterday. Wouldn't say I'm a huge Ed Sheeran fan, but man this song brought a tear. It encompasses my love and feelings about what Pokemon has done and meant for me growing up. A well crafted song that could be taken and alikened to anything, including a love song.
