They probably choose to be on probation rather than jail and they keep messing up. Eventually enough is enough and they gotta throw you in jail. If your smart you will realize you messed up while in there, if your a dumb your gonna be complaining about 'unfairness'. Probation should be a punishment since its taking the place of jail, their not requiring you to pay a billion dollars and volunteer to disarm bombs with a hammer, their just requiring that you follow the law, simple as that. Some people still cant do that, they probably view the justice system as weak since it gave them a second chance. If they continue like that their gonna wind up in jail either way.

They allowed my brother to go unsupervised for almost 10 months. No visits. No phone calls. My brother observed curfew, didn't drink ( which he never did anyway ), and sent in his supervision fee every month. He never changed addresses or left the jurisdiction, and didn't commit any crimes. Then , out of the blue, a deputy's car rolls up one night. He says that there is a warrant. My brother tells him what has taken place for the last 9+ months. The deputy calls the probation officer. My brother hears the deputy say to her, " you can't do that ". Turns out that day the PO had a warrant sworn out, and it appears that it got backdated to January, 9 months prior. I've always heard that court clerks could be shady, judges too. The deputy didn't take him to jail. Two days later the PO's boss called him and he was very polite. Everything was more or less ok after that. Within a year, my brother had a new PO and his old one was promoted(!) There was no love lost between my brother and his PO. She was a little 5 foot nothin of a redneck that went out of her way to humiliate and browbeat him. My brother, a former CO, like myself, had never been in trouble before this. He went before the judge , and probation tried to make him look bad in front of the judge, but the judge saw through them and disregarded most of their assertions. The judge also cautioned my brother to " stop telling probation how to do their jobs" . My brother was released ROR and never had another issue during probation.
no, he broke the conditions of his probation. he probably broke it numerous other times. when you continuously do this, your probation is revoked and you then serve your time for the offense that put you on probation.

it's a cerebral profession. i did it for many years. i have a graduate degree, as did most of my fellow probation officers. we do investigations, psychosocial histories, meet with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals, and prepare reports for the court. my reports were approximately 6 legal pages long. it's very detailed. and it's very time consuming. i was also out in the field quite a bit. a probation officer is not like some traffic cop who rides around in their car all day. it's a lot of paperwork. A LOT. i worked at least 60 hours a week.

Dear officer Murdock, Please understand that a jar of weed is not really that much and yes, its easily consumable by one individual as personal use. And, will you marry me, cuz damn you are beautiful!
It's not so much the amount of weed that probation officers focus on, rather, it's the fact that they are trained to be aware that after smoking weed, it stays in your system for a week. Therefore, if you have an appointment with a P.O. and you get a urine test and it's proven positive, that will lead to a write up in violating a condition of probation. That write up can then lead to a level one petition, which means being summoned in front of a magistrate facing the prospect of future charges for violating a condition of probation. If the magistrate is hard core, that can lead to a level two petition, which means a sentencing trial. That's why it's so imperative to not have weed in possession, nor to smoke or ingest it, while still on probation.
I think she was trying to hint to something more by the amount? Like a dealer? Wich is so wrong, because everyone that has smoked weed knows you can smoke a jar of weed in a day! Trust me I’ve seen it! 😂
Look at how you dictate someones life just cause they want to smoke something natural grown out of the ground. And then you go soundly sleep at night, because once they are locked in a cage they are no longer you’re problem
"I help people" "You're going to jail for marijuana." Something that most americans say shouldn't be a crime. Sounds like fascism to me. It's not like our prison industrial complex contributes to recidivism. "They feel more comfortable speaking to us." Bullshit psychology tactics, don't talk to a PO besides what they need. Make them think they're your friend, and have a lawyer on retainer. Talk to your lawyer before your PO.

Why did you quit
I wanna do this job
It’s really fun at times, but not all the time lol
More law enforcement videos!!
this was really great. very informative:)
So put people in the system and feel like u helped them
They probably choose to be on probation rather than jail and they keep messing up.
@@xxjr8axx The problem is they are far to strong and they lie. The state is not your friend.
@@sirbader1 Power will always be a factor in civilization, I would rather be in a country with a strong government like the U.S, France and Norway rather than in the hands of warlords like in Afghanistan and Mexico. By the way I am not saying dictatorships like the Soviet Union or fascist Spain. As for lying it does happen, but it is usually when the police have had it and start bending/breaking the rules to imprison mere suspects in crime ridden areas. Usually the suspects are suspects for a reason and not random people, although random people do get caught up sometimes. Overall keep to yourself and mind your business you should be fine, most of the time.
My p.o forged paperwork to throw me in jail for something I didn’t do cause he didn’t like me and here this lady is actually helping people! Wish I would’ve had her when I was on papers
He was just jealous of your flow skills
@@chief5981 you ain’t wrong ole son
why didn’t he like u? i’m on probation rn. have had some trouble with him snatching my phone and searching it
@@americandreams1978 mine didn’t like me because he was a cop that was always pulling me over before I got put on papers and was always trynna catch me and never could. So when I finally slipped he put in a request to be my PO
FREAKING AWESOME 👏
you didn't help her do this she did this on her own
Cap
How do I become one
"Yeah no for sure" - she must be Canadian!
So he went to jail for having weed?? Good job officer, you just cost the county more money booking him over a weak ass charge hahaa
no, he broke the conditions of his probation. he probably broke it numerous other times. when you continuously do this, your probation is revoked and you then serve your time for the offense that put you on probation.
i’m on probation and i got my medical card a month ago. legal smoking again 🙌🏼
Right this bitch really believes she is helping people by throwing pot heads in jail, giving the dude more mental issues. This lady is a piece of dog shit.
always use "how come" instead of "why" questions...
Cop is a cop
Yeah, I am sorry for gun. I really am.
If he don’t smoke that jar of MJ I will. Don’t worry it won’t go to waste

Damn ... Officer Murdock. Amirite?
Couldn't cut it as a cop but was intoxicated by power so she became a PO
1:37 Wow, she's pretty. If I was on probation be nice to have someone like her. Would make the whole process easier.
Yup... nice to have a pretty face when you are back before the judge as she makes a recommendation to revoke probation, and offers three new offenses you get to defend while incarcerated.
If I ever end up on probation I really hope your my P.O
All the videos I see they sit behind a desk
it's a cerebral profession. i did it for many years. i have a graduate degree, as did most of my fellow probation officers. we do investigations, psychosocial histories, meet with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals, and prepare reports for the court. my reports were approximately 6 legal pages long. it's very detailed. and it's very time consuming. i was also out in the field quite a bit. a probation officer is not like some traffic cop who rides around in their car all day. it's a lot of paperwork. A LOT. i worked at least 60 hours a week.
She sounds like she’s explaining it a little too defensively.there’s no gap being filled through police and the homeless through probation officers.
I've always heard that being homeless while on probation is an violation
“You’re not gonna smoke a jar of marijuana” well not in one night I’m not! At the same time how fucking hard is it to NOT buy weed on probation?!
I mean kind of hard when you smoked it every day for years prior 😂🤷🏻♂️
right? buying in bulk is just financially wise.
You sound incredibly naive
Probation is nothing more than revenue for the city/state. If someone needs to be under supervision, they shouldn't be out on the street.
These guys are crooks. They come in your home and take you wife and kids out of their rooms by gunpoint. I have seen it done lots of times. They the next ones were going to bust. I promise u.
All offenders same payment until behavioral sciences is no longer in total fraudulent time served...
You body bearers dubliners shhhh storages for sentencing prior to employment.
Dear officer Murdock,
Please understand that a jar of weed is not really that much and yes, its easily consumable by one individual as personal use.
Wow you seem like a great po
I can’t wait!
Look at how you dictate someones life just cause they want to smoke something natural grown out of the ground. And then you go soundly sleep at night, because once they are locked in a cage they are no longer you’re problem

Depends on your client base. If your dealing with violent criminals, then your office will require you to.
Depends which State. Most States require their officers to carry. You could also look into becoming a misdemeanor PO, I don’t think they carry.
this isn't for you go work the cashier at popeye's business is booming for them rn
c3 Ok wrong job, pick something else because you’re gonna be law enforcement basically
You shouldn't be looking for work in law enforcement if you're not willing to bust a few caps...
"I help people"
"You're going to jail for marijuana." Something that most americans say shouldn't be a crime.
