This man plays tennis on a totally different level than any other player on the planet! Fed was the first who raise the bar, then Nadal, but what Djokovic is doing is unprecedented in tennis!
For a guy with the best backhand Novak sure plays and wins a lot of points with his forehand. And for a guy with the best return he sure holds his own serve quite easily.

Novak defeated the Minotaur as an invalid, convincingly 3:0 in sets, with an injured leg, he could not move as he knows how. Now imagine what Novak would have done to him if he was completely healthy?! Well, that would be a joke...
I couldn’t imagine how the media and the world reaction to the AO23 if Novak had lost. Especially to the Australian player. My Goodness have mercy on tennis lovers but more grace and mercy towards Novak.

Does Mark Petchy ever shut up?!! He thinks he is more important than the players! PLEASE Get rid of him! He has some kind of problem with verbal diarrhoea and seems to think we would rather listen to him than actually watch the match. 😠😠😠
Nothing better than watching someone who is past his prime, dealing with injury and emotional trauma, who feels betrayed by society yet still holding true to his morals and personal beliefs, demonstrating resolve and courage and proving that he is not yet irrelevant, when realistically he should be. He is not the strongest, fittest, fastest or the most physically gifted. Not tall, so he doesn't have the best serve. Never been creative like a Federer or a volleyer like Sampras or a gigantic server like a Kyrgios, Zverev, Medvedev, Tsitsipas yet still managing to evolve, adjust and overcome those incredible young talents. Nothing better than watching a righteous man on a mission to prove himself, that what this feels like, a slim sliver of justice. We wanted him to win because it feels like it somehow rights some of the wrongs in the world. Well done Novak, here's wishing you another 3 years of health, courage and dominance at the top of the game.
I don’t think he is a very good player, he needs to run short sprints in order to generate power, and Novak knows this, he hits mostly directly in De Minaur and when he returns weak, Novak usually hits a point. Simple as that. De Minaur probably thought there will be too much running and sprinting as he is one of the fastest players, but Novak is an old dog, showed him how average of a player he is with a simple tactic. This was the most dominant match Ive seen in 2023 and also 2022.
@@JAKjak1303 I believe the FH more than the BH. In fact, he had more FH's efficiency this AO than at any other AO he played ever before, and the average FH's speed was also higher than any other of his AOs... 😅
@@JAKjak1303 Yeah but he balances that decreasing of his footwork hitting more powerful and accurate (just better) shots nowadays, also is still fast as a 26 Y'O (for example the dropshot he got to, to then hit a lob winner right after against Muller this past USO, or the 2 dropshots he got back against Shelton same tournament, one of those by the outer side of the netpost)... also saving CPs against two red-hot opponents as Korda and Carlos to win both those tournaments (Adelaide and Cincinnati) besides the Slams, definitely "not too bad" of a year... 🤭

In the 2 first games, Novak Djokovic was not familiar with the game yet. After that, he exposed all kinds of flaws in that midget's game. Too fast from the GOAT. :))
At 1.10.50 a stat mistake appears on screen. It was after a long rally and they stated that it was 23 shots long. Novak was serving (the server takes all of the odd numbered shots) while Alex was returning and taking all the even number shots. Alex took the last shot. It couldn't have been 23 shots.
