Dude that last track was BEAUTIFUL! I just came across your channel with this video. I think that in the same way that a Rap Battle is a certain genre of rap that centers more around insulting or battling the other guy, this just wasn't your genre. That first judge is spot on, the Umair dude was playing basically trap remixes - not leaving any space for a rapper to come on. and adding a gypsy woman remix at the end of that one beat? lol
Yes, that is the battle aspect. Hard hitting, dynamic and switchy, like the beat is throqing punches and bobbing and weaving. A beat war is what you're thinking of where you just judge a beat on technicality and sound selection. Think rap battle vs song war
Im a bit salty too lol but it makes sense that he lost because they're using 1 minute beats to battle. Not creating lengthy track type beats if that makes sense. All in all, Kyle should've just looked up a youtube video of their past beat battles 😂
Yes that's the thing. Samples were not the problem. For me the problem is the fact that these were EDMs/traps or whatever, there was no space for rapper and even if there have been - nothing would sound good over these "beats"
I'm a beat production assistant at a studio in Latin America and this is the first time I've seen a video by Kyle and I must say that as someone who has been in the music industry for a while, I would have definitely given my vote to Kyle, not only because his production is very original but because you can clearly see the work, effort and above all the soul of the producer. For people who work and make a living from this, we understand the love and work that goes into making their beats from scratch. The first Judge is completely right in his opinion. Making a mix with several samples and adding a couple of juicy drums is not, for me, making a beat, but hey, the difference is knowing who is professional and who is not. Very good video and very good beats.
Hell yeah man, I bet the judges who voted Umair are having life-choices reflections. The judge who voted Chris is probably feeling good that he made a great call.
@@simonchen6698 Thanks for the support bro, yes surely yes because we have to remember that music is not only heard but also felt, and those of us who know about music know the incredible work that Kyle did with his beats.
@@kianedits8443 well there’s not anything I can do about that. The judges thoughts are independent and they picked who they felt like won. That’s why there’s 3 judges.
@@CampionBondMUSIC As a constructive criticism, I think that in these types of events, originality and the effort that goes into making and producing beats and rhythms from scratch should also be valued, since taking and using samples is a resource, but it should not be 90% of the beat, since it feels more like a DJ mix than a beat. And if umair is a nine-time champion, perhaps this should be taken into account, since the event could become about who makes the best sample mix, and it would lose part of its meaning. But beyond that, I think it is a fun event and a good experience. Congratulations on that. I hope they improve and do more events in the future.
Your beats were definitely dope; I definitely understand where the judges were coming from. You are a producer, not a beat maker. Your tracks tells story or album cuts. You leave room for the artist to breath and dope at the same time. That is one thing I had to learn from my days of beat battles. I lost 2 battles back to back and could not figure out what I was doing wrong until I realize that I had to create standalone beats and not beats that needs an artist to make it shine. After I made that adjustment, I won the next Istandard beat battle. I still have your song in my playlist, it was definitely a treat to have been there with them on the same stage.
When that first judge talked, there was so much wholesomeness and goodness when he spoke! He was honest about how it was his out of his preference that he lost, and he did that in such an honest and kind way. Then he gives him one of the best and most honest compliments I've heard. It wasn't even like he was trying to let him down nicely, that judge gave him an honest to goodness compliment. Plus, if there was any doubt, he wanted 'Chris Kyle' to send him some of his stuff. It was wholesome all around.
Your last opponent's beat is more like a common remix, but your beats are classy and clean, bro. They deserve more than just a beat battle. good stuff sir!
I think that was the problem. Umair understood what the first judge said to Chris in the first round, you have to flex and switch it up. I think Kyle was thinking more of doing beats for an artist to sing along to.
This is probably one of my favorite vids that you have done Kyle. The overall flow and structure of the video kept me on the edge. I only realized the video was 34 minutes when it already ended. Even bringing in the old beats brought me back to a few years ago when i was still a young adult watching your contents. Overall job well done Kyle!
33:40 you did not beat him, you slaped everything that was on tiktok into one, thats not original, you took other people's work mashed it together, due to familiarity the judge liked it more, but its not yours.
Literally how hip hop music works brother. Tracks get popular on tiktok because people like it Stop coping. Everyone could sample, and if you ended up sampling something overused and unoriginal, then you risk getting hate and getting a quick L
@@nickblank5712 No, there is a difference between sampling and copy paste, If someone who is a professional analyses his beat, i reckon 40% of it is litteraly copy paste if not more, as in, he did not do any edits to it. Sampling is taking the melodic tune, then different tonality / pitch / speed + additional elements which then whilst still reminding you of the original, becomes its own original work. That isnt what he did sorry.
@@nickblank5712no dawg. every beat had some iconic or recognizable song/beat and used the most popular parts of them without changing anything major. most of the beat is taken up by the words from the actual song too, it’s not even a sample. bro was more of a dj than a producer, literally made mashups and claimed them as beats. so if anything, all the people who made those songs that he mashed up, beat kyle beats, not umair.
@vailanator at the end he went up against another guy that did the same thing. And the judges and audience seemed to expect or like sampling type beats.

the types of beats that win these battles are never like actual beats that could be used for actual songs they are beats that are kimda in a genre of their own, like very much sensationalized over the top beats that do way to much and are crowd pleasers but could never be used by an actual artist, and the ones that win would almost NEVER be picked by an artist. its not really an authentic producer battle, as in who creates the best beat for a hit record.

Its great when they pan to the judges absolutely loving Kyle's beats.

Dude that last track was BEAUTIFUL! I just came across your channel with this video. I think that in the same way that a Rap Battle is a certain genre of rap that centers more around insulting or battling the other guy, this just wasn't your genre. The judges went with the one closer to the style they expected it to be. I can't get enough of that last one
what happens when you make a disguise, get knocked out round 1 and reveal yourself as kyle beats and everyone looks at you like "who tf???"

Beat Battle Culture is different from Beat Production Culture tho
@ and i get that, the other dude definitely killed it but even one of the judges said it wasnt as original as kyles
That dude presented himself as more of a DJ than a producer. Because all of his tracks were heavily sampled.

That's how you win these. The shock and hype factor of a drop will almost always win over a beat designed to be rapped over.
which is why these are not exactly a great place to showcase quality and originality of production. If you make the crowd go crazy that's like half the battle, which seems kinda cheap to me but whatever

@@zwicker5585 Umair's beats were fire, but they are just drums and a sample. He won because his drums hit harder than Kyle's. But a sample is supposed to be something you add as a complement to the melody, or to create a melody, it isn't supposed to be the melody. Fire drums, lazy melody.

@@nervonabliss didnt know but in that case it seems as if kyle didn't know either, could've definitely gotten more technical with his beats
Im a bit salty too lol but it makes sense that he lost because they're using 1 minute beats to battle. Not creating lengthy track type beats if that makes sense. All in all, Kyle should've just looked up a youtube video of their past beat battles 😂
He’s definitely got a trap vibe, for sure.

I agree, Kyle tends to leave so much space which is not what people want to hear at battles. They want all the stops
Idk The judge with the dreads is joliver. We all know who each other is and can do and look like… idk could be real though
Right that's why when hearing his beats I think of artists who would go good on it versus just an instrumental
This was the best video I have seen this year. I was totally engaged. Thank you for this!! Super dope!
That last judge SHOUL NOT be a judge 😂
I don’t know about the beat music industry but this video showed up on my feed and it was very fun to watch
13:41 he was scared LMFAOAO - if you can’t hear a producers work and they show up to a battle in person you better be scared 😂

Yeah, a beat battle is a standalone beat. Something you can bop to without vocals. He leaves space for vocals and the artist to take charge at times.

33:40 you did not beat him, you slaped everything that was on tiktok into one, thats not original, you took other people's work mashed it together, due to familiarity the judge liked it more, but its not yours.
Facts bro he was not original. TikTok slideshow ahh music
Literally how hip hop music works brother. Tracks get popular on tiktok because people like it
Stop coping. Everyone could sample, and if you ended up sampling something overused and unoriginal, then you risk getting hate and getting a quick L
Yeah Umair was not good
@@nickblank5712 No, there is a difference between sampling and copy paste, If someone who is a professional analyses his beat, i reckon 40% of it is litteraly copy paste if not more, as in, he did not do any edits to it.
I like the fact that he lost . I love this. It just gives those that
are trying to make it anywhere so many lessons and i sight.

Kyle's beats had happiness. Light inside of a "death room".
the types of beats that win these battles are never like actual beats that could be used for actual songs they are beats that are kimda in a genre of their own, like very much sensationalized over the top beats that do way to much and are crowd pleasers but could never be used by an actual artist, and the ones that win would almost NEVER be picked by an artist. its not really an authentic producer battle, as in who creates the best beat for a hit record.
Yeah like who’s rapping over the shark tank and chief Leif I don’t like remix beat😂
Heavily relying on samples and not originality
Thats what beat battle beats are tho ... They aren't for rapping or making songs
@@ProdAGee I guess the difference is that Kyle’s beats are made for rapping whereas everybody else’s beats were just over the top and made specifically for beat battles
But there’s no rapping so it makes those beats boring at this setting
Nah this was just a popularity vote, you can just tell the bias was there from the start like they treated you as an outsider, the one judge who actually voted you at the end is a real one, he knows actual talent.
