@Dug Wolfe is that the straight conversion from USD though?
Truly amazing! I can see this becoming huge in the near future!
I can too! Pretty amazing piece of kit
I think so too, a futural guitar!!
I love innovation and often choose alternative designs (sometimes to a fault), but for me the term 'acoustic' refers to the beautiful simplicity of the natural analog sound of a mostly classic design. As a player ya gotta have at least one "acoustic beater" you can take to the beach or campfire but sound good and 'aint afraid to get a bit dirty.
at that price, it is a 30W bluetooth speaker with a guitar attached. I love it
Hey Steve excited you guys are coming to Columbus this week, I'm gonna swing by anc check out the show.
Awesome! Please come and introduce yourself. Would love to meet ya!
No, it is heavier than you would expect and uncomfortable to sit on your lap. Bought one off Amazon and I will be selling/trading asap!
Very cool guitar. I might get one for travel, looping and silent practice. But I would in no stretch of the imagination call it an acoustic guitar or a replacement for a decent acoustic for the serious player.
i do agree
Steve, Thanks for your review. I bought one of these off of offerup and was disappointed by the app until I rewatched your review which led me to the EQ, tones, etc. stuff. Now my only strike against the NEXG is the charging stand won't work if you leave the strap on and the strap ends are a bugger to take on and off.
Thanks for checking it out! I see why that's frustrating for sure
Can’t believe they put a Bluetooth speaker in a guitar, it’s becoming popular!
Its pretty sweet!!
Hi Steve, pretty interesting I thought when you entered the fusion mode you were going to play some Frampton voice box tune. Once again you "show me the way " See what I did there 😏. I can see a market for it. The only thing missing IMO is fretboard markers on the face. Later gator 🐊 Gale
Thanks Gale! 😁
Was looking at this brand. But wound up getting a pressed wood Martin which is impervious to weather changes.
Interesting ! Cant go wrong with Martin
Enya also makes an HPL guitar. Acoustic Electric version is 225 (EA-X1 EQ) and the plain acoustic is 180 (EA-X1). I don't know about how it would stack up against a Martin, but I have been busking with my all synthetic Enya for a couple years in south florida weather, and it takkes a liking and keeps on ticking. The sound us augmented with the X2 Double S1 Pro onboard effects and preamp. When I am busking where amps aren't allowed people stop and ask me about the guitar because it sounds like a 12 string. Moreover, once a new set of strings are broken in, I rarely have to tune it.
It would be nice if it worked. For the sake of completeness, I'm also talking about the seriousness of the Enya company, which sent me two faulty guitars (they don't turn on), one of which with burst batteries and poisonous liquid leaking from the microphone itself. I was forced to make two returns and obviously no longer have to deal with a company that works in this way
That's too bad about that. Mine won't turn on anymore without being plugged in, but then works fine
@@SteveSterlacci has it been resolved? i heard it was an app issue... or you need to connect to the app first...
@@ELROCKETEER I honestly haven't checked in on it in awhile so I really don't know
Having a tough choice right now between this the Lava me 3..and yamaha slg200s..
Thanks for the review. Was it with steel strings? Does it have a nylon alternative?
Yes steel string. I dont think theres a nylon version
I like to drop my pics in the middle of my acoustic guitar...what kind of option would this guitar have for a guy such as .myself?
Great question. Witb this one you can just throw it into the arm hole and when it hits the floor it goes to an alternate universe
Not sure what I think of the guitar..
For an 'electric' guitar with speaker I'd liked something with distortion too, but maybe that's possible on the app
For a Travel guitar headless would have been cool
The Microphone integration looks very cool and maybe good for busking..
Over all it looks like a nice all in one solution for a silent guitar. Personally I don't think I'd need the speaker so I'd probably go for the cheaper speakerless Mooer GTRS that seems to be more versatile. built in looper, Bluetooth connection to the phone + headphones and footswitch. So it could be all you need for practicing.
And if you won in the lottery and some puny effects are just boring for you ... try Rob o Reilly's Expressiv MIDI Pro 2 guitar ;)
I think I showed the "rock" preset with distortion on it in this vid at some point! Its def possible on the app
@@SteveSterlacci yes I think that it has some distorted tones. If I'm wrong I stand corrected
@Paul Lesson hey, if you wanna buy my mooer GTRS i demod on the channel, shoot me an email! Or this Enya...
Please demonstrate and explain in detail how to use the app to shape the guitar sound. Is the effect saved to the phone, the guitar (onboard) or to the cloud? How do you recall the effect for use?
It’s like Oscar Isaac and Nick from New Girl combined to sell me on a neat guitar from Amazon.
I never got oscar before, but this is the second new girl guy ive gotten 🤣🤣🤣
@@SteveSterlacci haha cheers amigo! Thanks again for the review, subbed!
@@Petorasaur much appreciated! Hope to see you in another one
Do you have any specs on the mic? As a busker, the less I have to cart around the better so I would prefer to have some other sort of mic, for instance a headset. Any info would be appreciated.
I do not have any specs. I would check their site or email customer support
Seems gimmicky to me. I guess I’d have to try one.

Thanks!
your main camera link is broken
Thanks for the heads up. Try this amzn.to/3QO07MY
Sounds like it's distorting or overdriving in the acoustic sound when it's strummed.
There is a section where distortion is one of the presets
What happens when the battery won't charge anymore? Can you swap it out or do you have to get a new guitar?
Good question. I don't know to be honest. I dont think its replaceable
I think this is a nitch product that for some will be amazing and others will not even notice it. But then I looked at the price. Holly crap! I think this might just sell pretty well. But is it the future of acoustic guitars? To answer your question, IMHO, no. The acoustic guitar has not changed much in the nearly 200 years of life for good reason.
Totally agree. But, it can certainly make a lot of acoustic players life easier
having the ability to take it anywhere you don't want to take your expensive guitar is huge when the important thing is have something to practice with while away from home.
@@Luysil yes indeed!
Can the Bluetooth Microphone and 1/4" Mic input operate at the same time. IMPORTANT!!
I will have to get back to you on this. I am on a tour right now and will be back next week
Off topic but you look like Bucky Barnes!
Ive been getting that a lot 🤣🤣🤣
Well, great in every other way. The only downside is that it sounds crap. It sounds like a quite mediocre piezo pickup. A very underwhelming sound. Perhaps through some modelling pedal you could make this sound decent?
For sure! Or even just a good acoustic DI
It does sound crap. Improving the tone by adding pedals and all sorts of stuff will negate the only advantage the mic/ guitar/ speaker combo has: being light weight, mobile and easy to set up.
What’s the scale length ? Did the company speak to the power problems?
No idea on both questions. Unless they've posted it somewhere I haven't seen
can the delay / FX be dialed out 100% in every setting for a totally dry / true sound?
Of course!
@@SteveSterlacci if you're familiar with lap steel guitar (using a typical nut adaptor to raise the strings), do you envision worthwhile tones for classic steel possible? there seems to be a built in inherent sound, almost sterile / carbony, and airy, yet pleasant, but maybe not comparable to vintage solid body electric lap steel that I'd hope could also be attained, or do you consider this mostly acoustic no matter what applications are used? thx
How is the action of the strings to the fretboard ?
Its pretty low for an acoustic!
is the fret board softer than normal acoustic guitars?
Nope
@@SteveSterlacci harder or just the same?
@@anubhavchhabra007 doesn't feel any different at all to me.
I bought one for parties.
Works well?!
They nees to partner with Fishman
That'd be cool!
@@SteveSterlacci Yep, those auroa profiles are amazing.
No
🥲
Tin can sound
Ive never played a tin can
Sponsored junk! So tired of commercials disguised as "reviews." You were quick to get off of the low notes as soon as the speaker kept distorting, even though the strings were louder than the "amp". #FutureOfJunk
The sounds you were hearing were recorded direct, so you werent hearing any strings out loud. Idk what you mean by getting off the low notes. The speaker stays clean in the acoustic and finger modes. Im not trying to deceive anyone, but it seems like you're not going to want to hear that. I just try to do honest reviews here
That's not an acoustic guitar.
Thanks for the insight
