after having a mental breakdown and looking on amazon, i might be able to help the people that have all the pieces but it still won’t turn on. when you’re connecting the white box thingy and the led lights, make sure the arrow on the white wire and the arrow on the black wire are pointing directly at each other. that was the problem with mine. also make sure the remote is turned on and the battery is in the right spot. if that wasn’t it, i’m sorry.

ok so to open it the little tab u push that to the right and the big part at the same time u pull it out it might take a few tries the back shuld show an example on how to open it

Remote isn't repsonsive. Went from a 12v 1A to 12v 2A remote but no cigar. Lights are just tripping out everywhere. Any solutions? Tried pointing at different spots at the sensor etc...

When you put then on the wall, does the roll need to be attached to them as well, like the strips need to stay on the roll or do we get rid of the roll after attaching the strips

Btw for anyone wondering y it dosnt come with a power chord. U need a dc12v adaptor for it. If its not dc12v I don't think it works

Do you know how to reset the remote to the right led receiver? I bought these and It's started to controll a RGB bulb I have in the same room and stopped working on the strip.

GREAT question. Ironic you mention this, because every time I adjust my receiver volume (Yamaha) with the remote or the DirecTV remote it changes the colors on my strip. Must be on the similar remote frequency. Try to unplug your power supply from the strip with the battery removed from the remote. Then plug in the power supply to the strip, then put the battery back in the remote. It might work or it might not. Worth a shot though! Keep me posted! Is there any way to order one roll (like you have in the video) and put lights in different places at the same time? (say, on a desk AND on a bed frame,) or would you have to buy 2 separate LED Light Kits?

You wouldn't. You would make a cut if you wanted a custom size per se. An attempt could be made possibly with a soldering iron and a skillful eye but for the low prices of these kits, I would recommend just grabbing a couple. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. You can buy little white connectors for this. You remove a small amount of the silicon to expose the copper connector and you can either solder them as mentioned with additional wire to say made a 90 degree bend or use the white clips to extend the strip. Most only come in 5m lengths.

@@imac331731 I bought mine from a store called jb hi fi, not amazon you might of heard of it if your from australia, but mine came with a "flexible joiner" like a small white cord and i believe you use it with connect two strips if you cut it off from the stated sections on the led lights could you confirm if this is correct

I just bought a set of these for my PC, and have to say, they look AWESOME!, although, what do the DIY1,2,3,4,5,6 Buttons do? All they do for me is go a white color and that's it.

Hi, I have these exact led lights and I cut them at the gold bit and they work, but I got a bigger desk so now I need to use the rest of them to to fit the desk, so how would I reconnect the extra bit of strip
+K9 what i would reccomend is just using some tape to act like thier's together and just go on with the entire strip

I put these on the back of our wall mounted LED TV. Looks AWESOME.
Certain buttons on the TV remote change the LED lights color. The TV is a Vizio.
I fixed it by putting electrical tape around the RF eye (already hidden behind TV) and aimed it directly to the right. So if we decide to change the color we just have to aim remote behind the right side of TV.
Yes I experience it with my DirecTV remote. I've done similar to what you did. :-)

Hi, does this have memory function? I currently have lights that forgets it's last settings once I off the main plug, and it is very annoying to have to change the settings every time I use it, and I also do not like leaving the main plug on either... So will this revert to its last settings even when I switch off the main power?

these are so cheap. can you tell me why mine wont come on? i ordered them and when they came in the remote wouldnt work i guess. none of the lights would turn on. i ordered another set and they won't work either. i plug in the dc12 power cord to the little white box and the lights will flash for half a second then turn off. it obviously has power since they flash for a second when i plug it in. but the new remote wont turn them on. please help im beyond frustrated
+pete wangsly try reversing how you have them plugged in at the wire harness from the power supply. I still use this exact same set without any issues

My guess is that you plugged in the 4 pin connection backwards and it got a short circuit. Did you make sure the arrows were pointing the same direction?
I have a 32 inch tv and the strips to long so can I cut the strips after I do that can i fit them together still after that I plug the USB in the back of the tv then I turn the remote on but it doesn't come on ....so I take the remote home with me to try it with my lights and it works but when I take it back to friend house they don't work...so what going on with this problem...plz someone plz help me.....

My Leds came with no remote or the connector thing and they’re a singular colour so if I buy the needed things will it change to different colours? Cause it’s a singular colour but it might change if I buy the needed things
