Roulotte are the types of food truck that you could enjoy local food in Papeete. Mainly Chinese but you could also find a nice steak house and some dessert trucks too.
We stayed at the MANAVA RESORT in Punaauia, my partner and I had dinner at Sunset roulotte and Taapuna Grill for the 7 nights we stayed there. only 50 metres from Resort entry The Poulette sauce bbq (Chicken steak), Fritz tartare N Riz {Raw fish pieces in cubes moulded together with rice) and the Poison du Jour (Fish steak n chips) was the best and cheapest eatout from the more expensive Resort prices. They ranged from NZ $16-$22 per person, Bauget n butter always come free with every meal. Tahiti and especially where we stayed in PUNAAUIA was the best experience....Mauruuru Tahiti.
