This is a bunch of bull shit. I live in ct, never went to Yale, and I know professors who taught at Yale and say that there is know difference with the students that attend at Yale and that attend at a Community College. I’m not trying to say that Yale students aren’t smart or talented, but no offense don’t make other people think they are like gods compared to normal students lol

Unless you have a patron of some kind no one’s going to pay you to just make art. You gotta sell yourself all the time and learn to connect with people or else your art just isn’t going to stand out from the sea of others also trying to make art.

I have a friend in my program that went to Yale for undergrad. He’s naturally intelligent, and we’re physicists now in grad school at another Ivy. Grad school tho? I found undergrad harder than grad school, not cause of the material, cause dear GOD this shit is painful and no one can help you at this level, but it’s easier in terms of dealing with it. The discipline that these schools teach you, whether you’re a double Ivy like some of my colleagues, or like me who’s just now being trained by the most prestigious people, the support required to keep you SANE because of the difficulty is insane. Luckily, if you don’t wanna drown you need to collaborate, so whereas undergrad was constant competition, grad school is collaboration

This is how i felt during my undergrad..i studied computer science at university of Toronto, it may not be as impressive as Harvard, yale, Cambridge etc but it was one of the top Schools in Canada so getting into the major, and trying to keep up with one of the most intense programs at the school and trying to graduate was certainly stressful. Everyone of my classmates were very intelligent and very much talented as well. Graduating felt like a huge accomplishment in one of the most competitive schools and programs within the school. Except now that im 30 i still struggle to find my passion :( which im working on now.

My experience was by accident and hopefully you can see the light for yourself. Don’t stress..I was a single mom, working as an assistant without a degree. I accidentally fell in love with my bosses career. She made it seem so easy, she had swag, she respected everyone and made sure to help those who needed it. I, have the same talent surprisingly and only found out by being exposed to this career…This motivated me to finish my bachelors degree in what I wanted. I’m graduating soon and I’ll be inviting her, I already told her.
Perhaps opening your heart and switch careers. Look at what you’re naturally good at, maybe a career in which you feel like you can help. Become someone’s assistant. Volunteer and you’ll be surprised how much that can influence your path in life.
