You missed 1 step before that - at menu - select LAN - select WLAN - check the video at 5 seconds in. After select WLAN then you can set up wireless lan. Hope this is the problem.
As I recall, the MFC-665 does not support a TCP/IP connection for the scanner function. We use a USB cable, which connects under the lower level lift-up top. We use the Windows Scan app (free download from Microsoft Store) to receive the scans. Works great. It's a good scanner.
If you're like me and you gave up trying you can call tech support at 877-276-8437. Keep in mind that this number is ONLY for the model number MFC-665CW. The problem I was having was that the name of my network was not showing up on the WLAN Wizard Set Up. I had just changed my modem and the new name wasn't popping up. I had to reset my Brother Printer back to it's factory settings and manually enter the network name which would have been challenging on my own since I wasn't familiar with how to send an authentication signal. Any how, the tech support got me up and running but it was a total time of 44 minutes on the phone. Ten to fifteen of that was just hold to get through.

I get to the set up wizzard and then I don't know what to select after that?
what do you do when you go to Setup WLAN and it says "Network I/F must be set to WLAN?".....it won't let me get past that stage.

What if I pushed Scan and it says "check connection"?
It doesn't see your wireless SSID, you may need to have a 2.4GHZ SSID since this one is old

San Doval go to the router to see if the printer is there, get the IP address of the printer and make it static
