The reason why PlayStation discs didn't had warnings is their file system. Unlike UDF/CDFS which Sega used that normal CDs used, Sony used a proprietary file system which is not recognizable by CD Players, meaning there's no need to put a warning message on a disc like that.
Actually PS1 uses standard CD data format and can easily be played on a PC based emulator. The only proprietary component is the track wobble that authenticates the game to the console. Some games do have CD audio but most games use either synthesized or compressed music to save space. A game publisher could add a warning track if there was space to spare.
that was cool! didnt really know much about it until seeing this! P.S. maybe specify that 2:28 is when the error is over and put when the distorted sound is over, thats kinda scary too
2:07 That is sonic racing metal sonic in sonic cd but blurred. I just noticed the background of stardust speedway and the floor of stardust speedway. 2:47 that is the hidden message blurred.
Its the sega cd game track 1 which is the game data.... But the thing is that maybe cd players or hi-fi players build after the 90' have that track silenced but those that are made brefore or during 90' Well.... We can pay respects to your speakers.
The track 1 on a Sega CD disc that damages the speakers. This whole time, I thought it was the warning's high-pitched guitar riffs, but that was just to get your attention to eject the CD before that happens.
It might have to do with the capability of the CD Player itself. Since older CD Player mistook Sega CD disc as an ordinary audio CD, not to mention there is indeed a real CD Audio track inside, it's most likely to be sent away to the DAC unchecked. Thus, DAC translates everything inside the disc as a same thing (PCM Stereo, 44,1 kHz sampling rate, 16-bit bit depth), unfortunately that includes the game data as well. Can't say about the audio level, but I assume it exceeds the acceptable audio level for CD Player.
We learned nothing from this video, no origins, you said nothing interesting, but why it exists. What about its origin, the author, something about the lady? The mystery solved here is that there were no mystery at all
Your Mandela catalogue video got deleted, and I had a comment there, so I'll say it again, make videos scarier by adding glitch Transitions and video manipulation and maybe even some cuts to black before it says "Solving Time!" It's just a advice, also, human voice plz.
3:17 Ohhhhh, so this is the sound that, according to the warning, damages the speakers of your CD player, not the warning itself. Great investigation!
3:20 Gee, it can damage not only your speakers but also
your ears too!
Hell be like:
me using my fricking studio headphones and 2 secs later having to send them to warranty: :/

@@soundsparkprobably Sega CD uses their own CD rom that uses CD audio instead unlike ps1 who uses standard CD rom which cannot played on a CD player

I’m not surprised people though the guitar riffs damaged the CD player. Kenny did a horrible fuckin job at them
my brain:how many times do you want to watch this video?
me:yes
The distorted sound sounds like the woman is now in a tantrum because you didn’t take the cd out

3:22 - I was able to slow this down and I heard something like "Alright, Senoah[?], here's one!"
Very good analysis on the secret message. Definitely gave me some chills back then. Good vid.
3:16 What’s that noise

some one will get the guitar riffs edit the woman out and call it "prog rock"
sorry you have shxtty taste
I dont know about anyone else, I loved to listen to that Guitar Rift. It was worth the speaker getting damaged for me. Lmao
It isn’t the guitar that damages your speakers, it’s the game data
@@LegacyAccount-y6 ohhhhh alright
This is the reason why sega discontinued the sega cd and stop making consoles
Damn whyd i think the cd rom playing was worse than the warning
Great video man over all profesionally edited and high quality, but why the text to speech im curious?
But why does the noise damage the speaker in the first place? And on what sound level?
