Oddly enough, the Network+ objectives list the application layer and the management plane separately, I think this video accurately groups them together and it makes it easier to understand. Thanks as always Prof
@professormessor I was taking a practice exam and i had to choose between the two. The explaination said they were not the same. How should I move forward?
@@OTOTIT I got frustrated by all this so I watched a bunch of other videos and read the Certmaster Learn. As far as I can tell, this is the very simplified version of each layer: Application: Design the networking rules based on company policies/best practices. (Here's the excerpt from certmaster: Application layer-Applies the business logic to make decisions about how traffic should be prioritized and secured and where it should be switched. This layer defines policies such as segmentation, ACLs, and traffic prioritization and policing/shaping.) Management Layer: Where you implement the rules designed in the application layer. Control Layer: The part that stores the rules you implemented. Infrastructure Layer: Those rules implemented actually running. Please please correct me if im wrong, id like to get the correct info based on how ill be tested. Edit: On a diagram for application it also says "Business Logic/Desired Configuration" So Id just take everything Prof Messer said, and add this as application as another layer, only because daddy CompTIA said so.
I really love how you divide these topics into different videos. That way I don’t get intimidated by long videos that are up to 3 hours long.
Byte sized vids

Love the divided videos, really help to get what you need quick rather than jumping around in a big long video.
Thank you for these videos! Passed A+ and Sec+ thanks to you!
Makes me want to play Sim City, seriously, great videos as always :)
The overlay on the switch was genius
Thank you Prof. Messer
