Hi dear mike I have some mistake for this project, It must made with two bearings and it must have a unique pipe that pushed in bearings I am making a complete lathe machine and making a video about it It take several months 😉
That was good you made a spinning round thing, I was thinking about the same thing, but using a Toyota front hub, and belt from a motorcycle on the brake rotor with the belt sprocket bolted to back side of brake and a real chuck with proper mounting plate. It would be much more work to do but I think the better stability would be worth it.

This is not correct using only one bearing,,, it will shake continuously when it the motor start running,, if it is expected to do a homemade mini lathe machine...
Muy chueco, con dos rulemanes, uno en cada extremo se alineará el caño mandril. El caño mandril tiene que entrar por el ruleman, no ser cortado en pedazos. Eso también hace que pierda mucho la estabilidad al no ser un solo cuerpo
