We custom abutment everything but just because we mill all our own work (I own and operate an in-house lab). I prefer the emergence profile of a polished custom abutment over stock anything, even if placement is mint with our guides
agree 100 percent regardless if you mill inhouse or not.
Stock does not mean rough or non-optimized emergence profile. There is a time and a place for custom healing abutments but those two design criteria are not included in that decision.
Whether you use a stock or custom abutment, if your crown is ceramic it’s still bonded to the abutment, it’s just a matter of either the lab or provider doing it correct? A screw retained crown from the lab is actually just screwmentable to my understanding
You are correct. Properly executed both solutions provide the same results. The difference is custom is 3-5 times more expensive and someone has to pay for that.
It seems to me that the overall audio volume is quite low in these videos when compared to other youtube videos. My laptop is maxed and it is quiet
We'll see what we can do to fix it!
Excellent video. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
There is nothing like having a custom abutment.
Except when a stock abutment will do;-)
Pass the savings to your patient. Y’all are taking advantage of us too much😂
