I think any wrong decisions made by the 3rd umpire viewing footage he should be suspended for a minimum of 6 months. No excuse for a 3rd umpire making the wrong call, they have the technology in front of them
@@blurbadam5500 why is it overkill? They have all the technology in front of them, slow motion, pausing etc. If they still get it blatantly wrong then they should be suspended
At 6:21 you can see someone appealing to the very right of the screen, but that wasn’t even close, but I think the umpire was stressed out and didn’t know what to do so he gave it out.
Some of these are down to the batsman basically cheating. Someone with Gayles experience, for example, absolutely knows when they've hit the ball. With Flintoffs dismissal and the one like it, their bats were so far away from the ball that there must be consideration given to an element of cheating by the umpire.
You are clearly not a cricket fan. It’s not up to Gayle to declare if he hits the ball there. He stays silent, and it’s up the umpire to decide. There used to be an age when a batsman would walk if they knew they were out, but these days a coach would tear strips off an international player for doing that. (Not saying that’s a good thing, but that’s the case). I guess you just have to accept that sometimes umpires make mistakes, you win some you lose some. You could be nice and politely admit when you unfairly win if you want to be polite, but when you politely disagree when they get it wrong they won’t change their call so you end up behind. If you are willing to accept that to go out of your way not to cheat at your local social game all power to you, I respect that. But it’s naive to expect Gayle or anyone in these videos to do the same (arguably unfortunately). If you are sickened by that “cheating” what must you think of those who appealed when they knew it wasn’t out, or didn’t recall batsmen, but gleefully celebrated the umpires incompetence. Flintoff for example (both the one he batted and the one he bowled).
@@blurbadam5500 If Gayle is out and knows it but it's not given, it's up to his conscience whether he walks isn't it, hence the expression for doing something wrong being greeted with "it just isn't cricket is it!". Why, because I mentioned that not walking when you know you are out, leads you to the ridiculous conclusion that I am "obviously not a cricket fan"!
True, but it’s not about the rule of needing an appeal. if the bowler doesn’t appeal a caught behind, it mustn’t have been even remotely close to possibly caught behind, bowlers appeal anything.
Why did the batsman walk in that 3rd one?? He was no where near the ball and still walked!!?? And Flintoff's? Well the NZ players should be asahamed for asking for that!!
Umpires got to be on the pay roll on most of those decisions... the one where no body appeals for the caught behind because he missed it by a foot you have to imagine that umpire's family was being held hostage by a gang who had millions on line in some bet because there is no other logical reason to randomly give someone out.
The third one apparently looks to be the most pathetic decision ever; however, that's not the case. It was not an umpiring blunder. This video was posted earlier by Yuvraj Singh in his Instagram account. It was a charity match played in UK in 2007 where the rule was "you will be out if you don't offer a shot in two playable deliveries in an over..". He got out by that rule and you can see nobody actually appealed for it and the batsman didn't protest either.
After Steve bucknor Aleem Dar is the poorest umpire in the icc cricket history, especially against India 🇮🇳,he suppose to retire around 10 years ago,but nobody’s knows why he’s still continuing, give way for others also boss...
Why should only players be investigated? I think some umpires need to be investigated.... seems like they are paid to make such decisions. Why should only Hansie Cronje, Azharuddin, Sreesanth or Gibbs be castigated... I'm certain some blunders are unforgivable.
@@CricketAddict And May be some more, missed decisions, which is wrong. I saw some of them these days. In terms of #IPL Almost 2 controversial decisions are in every IPL match
I understand that the paying condition for that charity match was, like in baseball, if you can play it, it is a strike. Was his last strike. You can see everyone knew about it.
the thing is , this umpire is a rugby refree before and this is his 1st match of cricket , and he also gets pressurized by fielding team two three times in the same over and he gives not out and at last he gives him out on the slighest of appeal from that rightmost slip fielder ,
Many pro cricket players used to do that and AB especially walked many times if he knew he had nicked it. However, what do they do when they are given out incorrectly - and he got a few bad decisions against him? So I guess they started thinking that they will only go if they're given out and the wrong decisions will balance each other out.
To my knowledge in Cricket, My best umpire is Mr.David Shepherd Sir.. The best umpire in the cricket history.. Even Our master blaster SRT ( God Of Cricket ) also said about him.. No one can replace his place..
I think the No. 3 was some kind of match fixing. Even the batsman was looking at Umpire and waiting for him to give out and as soon as he lifts his finger. The batsman walks out instantly as if he had indeed nicked the ball.
Worst ever? Really? Here's my view. #10, Gayle, he's on 99, benefit of doubt always goes to batsman, would suggest ever more so on 99, over appealing, poor sportmanship, OK with not out there, it's not 100% conclusive. #9,Hussain, it looks out, there's a little inside edge, a technical error, but hardly a shocker in real time #8, Gilchrist, it looks out, keeper does well to get in way of replay, it's technically not out, but no real shocker #7, ABD, heel looks up, marginal, would hope benefit of doubt to batsman, but it's a close call #6, low to the ground, OK with benefit of doubt to batsman whether it carried or not #5, Tendulkar, yes that is a shocker, considering he's on 99 #4, Flintoff, there was a clear noise, can understand that one, not correct, but not a shocker really #3, no appeal, can only give bowled, that is an absolute shocker #2, marginal, not out fine #1, ABD, when you scream and shout like that not out is correct call, appeal politely! So only 2 shockers really
That was probably the least “bad” decision. Just a momentous one. I mean it was 100% not out, I’m not saying it was a correct call or even a grey area, I just mean it was close to the glove and difficult to make in real time. It’s not a shocking call just wrong. If it wasn’t a famous batsman on 99 it would be forgotten amongst the millions of dodgy calls
Im a pakistani ive heard Aleem dar wons too many empire of the year awards but he did that in past i cant accept this guy any more in my fav8 empires list 😕
Anyone can appeal. Point is that if the bowler doesn’t think there is even a chance the umpire will give it out, not only is it not out, it isn’t even close. It was so clearly not out, the bowler didn’t even bother asking. It’s like if the ball balloons up off the batsman and the wicket keeper lets it bounce deliberately, then the batsman clearly didn’t nick it. Not because of a rule, but from reading the players reactions, if there was even a chance he had, they would catch it

Steve Bucknor should be awarded a trophy, much bigger than a World Cup trophy, for being the worst umpire in the history of cricket.
Steve Bucknor is the reason DRS was introduced
Darren Pascale he gave sachin incorrectly out 9-10 times and turned down anil kumble decision 20-30 timss
Hahaha
match fixing umpire.
Steve Bucknor deserves a list of it's own...!!!

One of the worst and bias.

I thought Bucknor was bad with Indians alone but no he actually did not discriminate
Steve Bucknor used to give decisions by tossing up a coin in his head, rather than using it.
This is why DRS is Better?
Yeah...True..✌
Dhoni review system is far better😂😂😂
In Sri Lanka indians were unfairly given out even by drs. this is why india then resisted it for few years.
Sachin could get 3-4 centuries in his name but missed it
That cut both ways.
24 90s
20 more
and 15-20 could get remove from his name 😐
that 3rd umpire must be buckner!!!
🤣🤣🤣
Lol

The decision from Aleem Dar was the most unbelievable. Must have smoked up a lot before that game lol
I think he might've been pressured by ICC behind closed doors. He's a very sharp empire otherwise. Something was definitely up that day.
