I’m soooo excited I get to be part of a premier with one of your vlogs!!!!! I love how you taught arrays…. Love the Valentine craft to go along with it…. ❤️
Thanks so much! Our district provides us with Mac’s so we use airplay to put everything on the TV. I can connect my document camera to my computer with a usb and then use airplay to project on the TV!
Does your district still use Benchmark? Struggling with it but love how you do your ELA block. Makes me wanna venture out of benchmark because it’s so hard for my 2nd graders.
We do use Benchmark but are allowed to be flexible with our instruction. Sometimes I use it as a base point to help guide instruction but find and create resources to supplement and make it more engaging!
Do you use Eureka Math? Module 6 is SOOO important to help set the foundation for multiplication in 3rd grade. I'd try to sprinkle in some lessons because it's a really fun module for conceptualizing multiplication.
2nd grade is my absolute favorite! I student taught in 2nd grade and 7-8 year old are the perfect age in my opinion. I knew I would only teach kinder for a year so I went with it but never plan to teach it again.
Oh 100% me too! That's why I only gave them the template and had them plan it out, definitely helps to slow their roll and realize what could actually work for the craft. Great learning lesson to have them check their work on their whiteboard before moving forward!
@@GoldenStateEducate I just want to say how much I appreciate your videos and your links! This is my first year teaching second grade (always have taught preK/kinder), so this is a whole new beast! Your examples and descriptions AND links, girl you are saving me this school year! Videos I’d love to see from you, because despite probably being 12 years older than you, I do NOT have my life together🤪 but how do you balance work/life. Meal preps, shopping/cleaning Work videos: how to get whole group & small groups done in each subject. Fun engagement tips for EVERY subject.
This video shows a small part of the lesson. We also talked about the positives of each poster. It’s actually a beneficial lesson and they gained a lot from seeing previous students examples. My students always know when their work will be used as an example in the future. A teacher example only gives one perspective 😊
Those habitat posters are fantastic 👏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You are an amazing teacher!👏(me - retired Primary teacher)
What a great idea to have your students do the arrays on white board first and then you checked them. That is GENIUS! Kudos, for another super video.

Yay!! Thank you for being here so early Jenny! 💗
Thank you for the inspiration to get my Valentine and black history month books out too… 😍
I love Astro bright paper - I really believe that is a teacher must have…… 😍
I love your videos. I am blown away by your tv desk set up. What do you use to project what you are doing on the board. Is it wireless?

Can you tell us about the “interrupting chickens” you have in the background? I might need that 😂
Hahaha honestly we never use them. It was a half attempt to get students to stop blurting out but just another system to manage 😂

Some of my littles have been doing the same thing….
A little bit of mid year regressing but we'll get them back on track 🤗
@@GoldenStateEducate I hope to as well with my littles.. 😁
I know I need to start doing more educational crafts with my kids too on Friday’s. I hate that my district has us skip module 6 for math

@@GoldenStateEducate yes we use Eureka and it makes no sense why they say it isn’t essential! When it’s a huge part of 3rd grade!!
Just wondering,do you like second more than K? I currently teach K but requesting a move next year

Cute craft, I just know I’d have 2-4 stinkers that would try to pull a “56x2047362919171”
