Of all the guitars he plays he seems to be most inspired playing these old 335s. He may love the Jazzmasters but the 335s bring something out in him that the others don't. I hope he has one of his own.

That’s gotta be the best GOTD I’ve ever heard and I’ve seen literally every episode. The quick licks on the 12 bar blues and that first piece was just amazing

Dude was just in flow state on this one. Just kept finding really tasteful stuff that was just killer
The obvious thing is that Michael loves to play guitar. He has the ideal setup to play great guitars through good amps. As he keeps playing he is improving before our eyes, the audience. He gets the feedback and he knows he's appreciated and keeps playing great while being a humble person.

But you can see the gift you have mixed with some very hard work/Practice I’m sure if all the guitar greats that have left this earth could see you play they will all take their hats off to you .....just saying 🤷🏽♂️

Great playing, man. I always enjoy it. It can get a bit tedious to hear those same blues solos and licks and just random notes played as fast as possible - which 90% of youtube guitar vids are about. So this is just lovey. Thanks, Lemmo.

I lost my 335 in a fire back in '81. I've got all the wood and parts from LMI and StewMac (and others) and I'm building a myself another one. Got a year into it so far. No burst for me - it's gonna be blue, I think.

The part at 1:30 to 1:33 is killer. The notes Michael is playing are in tune with his talking. You got guitar playing in your veins man. I feel that because I got it as well. Keep practicing and playing, you’re delivering great stuff day after day. 👍

I love these Gibson ES-335, 345, 355 guitars, Epiphone Sheratons, Rivieras, Dot Deluxes, 345s and 355s . . All the rest, even SGs and Les Paul's, are just so much kindling to me. Strats? Wouldn't have one in the house! Gretsch? Maybe on a good day. I had a Gretsch White Falcon double-cut. Absolute rubbish! I was well rid of it when I sold it. It'll do the rounds I reckon. Each successive owner will think he can fix it . . Nah!
But I come here to Norm's UA-cam page to see and hear the Gibson hollow and semi-hollow guitars being put through their paces by Michael Lemmo, one of the best guitar pickers I ever saw! 🙂

Michael, you remind me so much of my brother who is also a Michael, in fact. Absolutely love watching you demonstrate your absurd musical ability everyday. I always look forward to watching Normans’s GOTD videos every day. A true motivation to myself as I’m about 8 or so months in learning guitar on my own.
Hopefully, I’ll make it out there soon to visit Norm’s because I’m so fascinated by not only the diverse selection, but by your versatility on the axe as well. From Connecticut - peace and love! Keep rockin’ Lemmo.

I know it's like, super subjective, but this is like, totally, a perfect sounding guitar. OMG
These sound great in person, but lack personality in a studio setting . I find recording with these made my music sound like music you hear in a elevator or at the bank. SG’s, p90’s, fenders, are the way to go.

Excellent as always. The 335 is my dream guitar and someday when my ship comes in I hope to get one. Recently I read something (sorry I can't remember where) that said the famous recording of Crossroads on Wheels of Fire was not played on a 335 but rather on "The Fool", Clapton's psychedelic SG. He certainly played a 335 during the famous farewell concert at the Albert Hall which may be why so many of us associate that guitar with the music he played during that era. But it really doesn't matter Clapton would sound great no matter what he was playing.

Lemmo I feel like that guitar was inspiring you and you got lost in it like we all love to do. That was quite a jam and in a few different places was amazing. Also do you listen to The Wave radio station?? That first song sounds like something I would hear on that station and I loved it. Keep em coming man....that was cool.
