"Before you insult someone, walk a mile in their shoes, cuz then you're a mile away and you have their shoes."
-Misty Moore, probably.
Holy shit, that’s hilarious
Jack handey
Terry Pratchett
It's a Steve Martin quote, I think
@@magafish yeah, it was in one of the Night Watch ones.
The number of times that you can see Brennan physically avoid saying “Nod nods” is amazing
There's always a slight pause. "Nod.... Acknowledges this"
It's like it would physically hurt him if he surrenders to those two words lol
Shaketheirhead shakes their head.
I’m so glad this was..... acknowledged😂
52:26 he just hits that barrier so hard. "Nod sort of... Agrees" lol

"Only if she can get here and I have her goddamn shoes" is SUCH a good line. Props to Siobhan for that killer
I agree, I couldn't stop laughing.
It was truly fantastic, lol
Absolutely killed me
I love how Nod switches rapidly from "I am very serious deity" to "I am smol child".
If you were a deity with infinite power you'd probably act the same way. Being serious all the time takes the fun out of being all powerful
DO THEY HAVE POPCORN??
I am very serious smol child
I think it’s a really cool role play thing. It’s a way to role play deities that are personified as other things.
A favorite trope of mine, personally.
"Shes gonna kill you"
"Only if she can get here and I have her goddamn shoes"
Misty is an absolute badass
That was the most Fairy thing Misty has ever said tbh
This needs to be a gif.

I love Misty Moore being constantly paranoid bc she's close to faerie. "is there a person named None that CAN harm us?"
After season two, that line hits different
Fae are always looking for loopholes and exceptions. Words have power.
The wildest thing is that she does then immediately go and have just multiple drinks and a bunch of mushrooms in the one place in Dream that is directly adjacent to Faerie. Paranoia forgotten in the face of specifically the food of her people because damn she hasn't gotten to eat this in 400 years
In which Brennan tries not to say "Nod nods" for 2 hours.
honestly with all the work put into the episode, I'm shocked that he didn't *nod off*

That metaphysical philosophy monologue though ...

“Wally I’m your Dad!”
“Rat Jesus 👁👄👁 you’re my dad”
Literally this section brought me happy and sad tears
You can hear the eyes
*duh duh duh* You're my dad!!!!!!
"We can turn you back into a person!"
"I actually don't mind it so much"
"Well then we can turn me into a rat!!!"
Oh my god brilliant
Right there I was confused if I was watching fantasy high
1:04:12 "I'm a firefighter, I could just go to Hell." Lowkey one of the most *badass* lines ever said in this episode. Hella cold.
Said in the most nonchalant way possible
"you're not mad? You're not mad at me?"
"I thought you were mad at me :( "
Brennan, why you doing this to me..
The part is at 7:13!
I've got no problem admitting I've come back to this scene again because of how much this scene makes me FEEL
I’m not going to lie I shed a tear or too
I absolutely cried holy shit
Yeah I cried too
A lot of tears
Wally explaining to Kugrash that while he might be his biological father, he isnt his dad... is the most wholesome, and genuine, whil still really hilarious and stupid... thing I have ever seen and heard, its so beautiful
Kugrash trying to explain everything and Wally just accepting everything he hears is one of the best moment I’ve ever seen in DnD.
I nearly cried
Kugrash bluescreening and trying to say "you're not believing the wrong bit of the unbelievable thing!" While also being emotionally punched in the gut is really sweet.
I love it so much 😭😭😭
Wally best boy 😭😭
I cried so hard at that
Ally laughing so hard they cry at a joke Zach made that literally nobody else noticed is such a DND mood it's incredible
I thought they was laughin at the Brennan singing.
Time stamp?
Oh jeez it was the Doctor Doolittle thing. Wow
1:25:20 - Zac and Ally busting each other up
If anyone is here and they can't hear or understand the joke, it's something like this:
Zach: *jokingly guesses Dr. Doolittle in response to Sioban*
Ally: *laughs imagining this possibility, then attempts to quote the Eddie Murphy version of Dr. Doolittle* "I can see my dick!"
Zach: *laughs because Ally got the wrong Eddie Murphy movie* "That was Nutty Professor."
They both basically die laughing.
I feel it's sad that more people aren't talking about how Nod offering to help Pete learn magic makes Pete almost have an emotional breakdown becuase "I'm trying SO hard but I feel like I'm not good at anything but drugs so when I feel like I'm not good enough I go back to drugs".
It goes by fast but it's SO deep.
This DnD campaign has better character writing than most shows and movies
ITS SO DEEP I LOVE PETE SO MUCH
@@undeniablySomeGuy DnD is an incredibly powerful form of storytelling. Its the sincerity
it also explains why (and I know you probably already know this) Pete takes micro doses whenever someone is telling him off or explaining something complex to him that he doesn't understand
Hard drug use is definitely like that. It definitely become a vicious cycle and part of the reason therapy with the right therapist helps with getting clean.
Misty and Kingston forgetting what they came to the fairy gate for because they're both old as fuck is perfection
I'm fairly certain Kingston is supposed to actually be 50 something, so IDK if "old as fuck" really fits him, but I agree that this was a hilarious excuse.

When Sofia said "who is gonna watch the deer?" as a last plea to the angels so she could have her husband back I just openly started weeping, Dale and Sofia clearly loved each other so much and it must have hurt dale so bad that Sofia thought he had abandoned her, god I'm still crying, sofia spent the entire campaign trying to get over her husband leaving her and when she finally finds out he still loves her just as much as she seems to love him he is taken away from her and she has to start her whole grieving process from the very beginning, GOD THAT HURT
UGH THATS SO SAD
At least she got to say goodbye.

I love that Emily is so in the game, she really feels everything happening
Yess I agree, she's so responsive to other people's stories too, such a good sport
That slow frown when she sees dale is so real
Apparently she plays her characters with the mindset of 50+ years ahead planned out for them lmao, she really does care strongly for the story
That is an understatement She legit forgot ox was a summon and had a serious moral conflict for half of the last episode trying to keep him "alive"

Watching UC in a club ey 🤔
I just wish Ricky had something, I know he's a simple character who doesn't have a lot going on but he's had exactly two big story moments from what I remember, talking to Esther and talking to his firemen buds about Esther
Were you for real watching a DnD show in a club? If so that's awesome.
brennan’s moment of essentially going “well done you figured it out”
“really?”
“nope go fuck yourself” with the detect magic on Wally was hilarious lol

1) I just realized that the reason Emily kinda sounds like Sofie even when she speaks out of character is because she's from NY.
2) Siobhan doing a fake cockney accent is absolutely hilarious.
Nobody but a New Yorker could make that Staten Island joke work so often and so organically
Emily is from Albany and her native accent (as heard in other campaigns) is a little more Rustbelt than NY, but it's a mix.

The realization that Dave was fully devoted to Sophie no matter the hurdle and Kingston's life exhibit made me cry so damn hard. THIS is the power of D&D, and the mastery of Brennan to make people feel the campaign, not just witness it.

19:26 “thank you tomatoes for your nourishment” sir PLEASE
The idea of a hyper-capitalist villain trying to restrict the American dream to be just his version of it, and quash any other versions of it is so brilliant. Brennan is so good at symbolism and subtlety.
It’s so great to know that Kingston has been like that for every day of his life

The Voice of The People always speaks for them. To aid, represent, or connect. The city wouldn't have chosen him if he weren't that Voice.
The highlight of this episode is Zac and Ally having a laughing fit about Dr Doolittle, which was an incorrect guess about what Siobhan was trying to remember, then losing it worse when they make an incorrect reference to Dr Dolittle thinking that it was a different '90s Eddie Murphy movie. They were both so far gone that their eyes looked like they had been crying and had to take drinks to clear their throats.

Brennan's mannerisms as Nod are spot on, so deeply kid-like. He really is such a good actor.
Or secretly three kids in a trench coat
I love Brennan really getting into the movements of the deadly rat race, and simultaneously, Murph catches the ," I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards" subtext and how unsubtle it is, and Kugresh reacting to what his soul was all along.
"The danger, of course, lies in losing the dream in the pursuit of your ability to obtain the dream" ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!!

i love how ricky mean thing at the art show was saying, "this place is not up to code!" this series makes me so deeply happy
OMMGG Dale was the Chosen for the Monestary and he knew Jackson which means Jackson knew what happened to him and that's why he kept calling her Sofia Lee instead of Bicicleta!!!!!
Emily is one of the most observant people Ive EVER seen play DnD. She cracks things so quickly and so thoroughly, while also constantly working through alternate possibilities in her head at the same time. She is so smart and cool
The scene at 1:00:00 where Nod is talking about being the monarch of the realm but doesn’t have any money is just goddamn hilarious. They’re a massively powerful being of dreams and magic, but they like... usually someone pays for them.
I did not expect Kingston's backstory to hit me so hard in the feels.
I know I’m late to the party but I’m shocked Sophia wasn’t more pissed at her brother. Like I’d be questioning how he could stand by and watch her slip into alcoholism, depression and become kind of a walking joke for Isabella since she straight up taunted Sophia for no reason with that dress.
"...only Sprint works here."
Sprint isn't really popular where I am; even though I am just up in Toronto (Canada). But I figured it was humourous; and laughed along, because the only way that "Sprint" works and has signal is 'in your dreams'...still fucking funny!
Omg I didn't even notice that's hilarious
THANK YOU I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS SO FUNNY TO THEM
I interpreted it as a double meaning around if your character had Sprint (ability) you had signal (like Sprint cell phone)
1:22:54 made me SOB. "Who's going to watch the deer?" is so heart-wrenching!
Nod: You can all FLYYYYY! :D
Lou: Can I fly?! :D

Lou: Oh . . . :(
This show has the best fans because the first comment after this came out was the time stamps for good moments to make it easier for fans to rewatch it
Seeing Flando here after getting into DND shows through CR makes me so happy
I love how Ally and Zac go on an entire comedic journey at the mention of Eliza Doolittle that involves them referencing a completely different film, and then laughing for so long that they cry, and nobody notices or acknowledges it until they are both weeping.
Brennan saying ‘hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I mean that’s hyperbole but... you could be making a lot of money!’ is nice subtly roleplay
In ‘Start Spreading the News’ Kingston says that about the mafia doctor, which kinda adds a sad element to that but, y’know. Like, Kingston remembers years later (either consciously or subconsciously). He still *thinks* about what success he could’ve had but decided the he’d rather be with the city.
I noticed that. Brennan is so observant
Kingston didn't get the typically successful life, but he still thinks that others should be allowed to make the selfish decisions that he didn't. And that's almost too selfless to even comprehend.
