I have a Note 5. I use Open Camera for pics, when I need *real* good pics. The pen can be used with a couple editing apps, like Photodirector, if I want to do stuff on the fly.
It's always great to have camera that captures images with real representation of colour. However, for me, I can always tweak the hue later but I can never add details that were left out.
very cool video.. the quality of the camera you shot this with is amazing. I never liked Samsung's orange hue or yellow tones when it's faced with a dark background/night shots... the iPhone has always done a good job with the natural colors... I just wish the note 5 had the same 3450 (I think) mah battery that the nexus 6p did... Samsung knows this phone would have sold like hotcakes along with the addition of a micro SD card slot.

As a professional photographer, I rather have the iPhone. Natural colors and 4:3 aspect ratio is what most professional photogs want. I can edit the photos later and it's easier to do that with natural colors, not the saturated mess on the Samsung.
But most "casual" users would much prefer the Note 5 with its crispy looking pictures that don't need much (if any) extra work to make them look pleasing to the eye.
+chrisak49 Most comparatives only show the auto mode cameras, and because iPhones deliver the less camera control, they try to do better in auto mode... I agree with you in the oversaturated photos of note 5 but if you are a pro photografer wouldn't you consider the f1.9 lens over f2.2 and the fact that you choose 12mp 4:3 photos on the note 5 instead 16mp 16:9, and also in pro mode you can correct every settings as you wish and creat custom modes choosing color temperature, tint, contrast, saturation, highlight, shadows, manual focus, shutter speed (10s - 1/24000), ISO (1 - 800), white balance, exposure and in the end choose to save that picture in RAW??? Maybe the auto mode really tends to impress and gives unnatural results but you don't even have to adjust everytime... just create a self photo profile on pro mode and use it for better and more natural photos...
Its so impossible to decide between the s6 edge plus and iphone 6s plus. The only thing thats making me choose the iphone its the ram management and its concrete and faster system over time of usage. But the galaxy has more memory on the starting device (32gb on galaxy and 16gb on iphone with only $10 more in price in US), fast charging, i think it has a slightly better camera, screen to phone size ratio and resolution. Some suggestions? haha

I have always used iOS so the android for samsung feels odd. I really can't decide. The edge plus has a better resolution and low light camera. I JUST CANT DECIDE. The frustration is unreal. Every day I look at comparison videos. Tell me what phone you get, when you do. I will probably get it near x-mas time when there are discounts.

The S7 or S7 edge has more recent hardware, probably get that one if you can afford it, and check what was the latest version of android it got, note 5 isn't getting anymore updates, they are both great phones though

I may miss fast charging, freedom in general and better picture quality, but just wanted to try something new and join the dark side...I was originally going for the Nexus 6 p, but the crappy camera when it comes to the lack of OIS when recording videos was a tie breaker for me. Why not wait for iphone 7 or Samsung (S)7 you may ask, well when your phone is 3 years old and is dying, then you know it is urgent lol. And I always fix my photos through apps anyway...

You know what you'll need most, if you like playing games probably the iPhone is right answer (metal api, stonger CPU & GPU performance and some exclusive games for iOS). I choose versatility on the Note 5 no need to install specific software for transfering data, quick charge, much better deal (in Indonesia), bigger storage, S-Pen, software that take advantage of larger display & it is not a ugly duckling or slowpoke compared to iPhone...

Its not about how many cores, but how powerful each one is. For example AMD makes processors with more cores than intel, but they are not as powerful. Having more cores can save power by disabling some when they are not needed. The processor in the iphone would probably run very well on android.

Because of the manual mode on the Note 5 I would say it wins. I have the G4 and it has an even better manual mode and you can really fine tune the camera to get extremely close to the actual color of the images you are taking a picture of. The iphone 6s plus got alot better over last year's model but like he said it kinda comes down to preference but because I have manual mode on my G4 I know how awesome it is so I would give the slight edge to the Note 5
