I like the new headlight design on both the MT09 and MT07. All the previous generations I didn’t care for. Was always more of a xsr guy until this latest redesign.
Had a 2022 and it really was just a great bike! I didnt really fit on it too well, but it did everything I asked of it. My biggest and really the only gripe I had was its behavior on the freeway. It got just a little too squirrely at highway speed. But its an amazing for an everyday ride
New 2025 MT-07 will get an assisting slipper clutch, New 5 inch TFT screen, Cruise control added, Rider Modes added, Button controls on left side handlebars to control the TFT screen Will transition to Ride-By-Wire Exterior design changes (Headlights, color, fairing style) Changed intake design to aim induction noise back to your ears for better sound like the MT-09 has (little slits carved into the tank) The bike will lose about 3lbs from the previous year as it gets lighter wheels and some lighter body panels. Frame was completely redone to save more weight while gaining rigidity (less weight more rigidity in frame). The semi-auto model will be heavier Foot peg placement is changed so seating position is slightly more leaned more (slightly more aggressive) New inverted front forks and new brakes (better front suspension and better braking) They will be selling a variant of the 2025 MT-07 that is semi-automatic similar to the Honda Goldwing with the DCT transmission.
Since Yamaha came out with the R7 I've been wanting to see its better fork/brakes/slipper clutch/frame stiffening also included on the MT07! Thanks Yamaha for finally doing that + the other nice touches added to this model. From the pictures I like the new styling so hopefully my in person impressions will be similar. New placement of the instrumentation should also be an improvement as I never cared for the low and close position of the past models.Just keeping my fingers crossed that the "ride by wire" doesn't change the CP2's lively character.
I kinda like the Shogun aesthetic of the headlight. Ironic given Mr 🔥 Samari cat sweater & it's the side 👀 at 3:36 then the realization Big smile like Bish Palease! 1 finger pointing at me 4 back right at ya Bud! 😂 Good to finally catch up on my 2 Fav's
If they keep the price around $8.8k, I'll totally buy one also as a first new bike. I kinda hate the clutch, it wears my wrist out. Plus you still keep the manual mode like on most sport cars like own. & they are finger button/lever shifts. Less stress on my wrist.
The current MT07 is known to rust like crazy in wet British weather . Particularly the coolant pipes and swing arm but just in general . I hope they have improved it’s weather protection
An art museum? Yall are weird… These are modern motorcycles. If you want grandpa classic looks go get an xsr. This bike is about performance and value. Im sure your wife/ girlfriend is not very good looking either, but im sure you think she does right? Well of course. Thats because beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it is 100% subjective 🤗
I don’t understand why motorcycle companies don’t put “auto shift” options on smaller cc bikes. This option on a smaller cc bike would entice more beginners who are intimidated by a clutch system. Anybody have any ideas why?
Money. Small bikes are already so costly that going to a bigger displacement version of it can cost less than some of the more pricy accessories like exhaust systems to those small bikes. At some point it just makes no sense.
Some people do have disabilities where it’s hard to shift for them or some people just want the convenience. Are your options always so shortsighted? lol

Same here. The redesign puts it over the xsr700. Previous years, the XSR700 was always on top
Trail 125 supremacy
Thank goodness they switched to a USD fork to modernize it.
Also the bot comments are early today.
YES YES YES! My next and second bike! ❤❤❤ Upgrading from 390 Duke 2021 🤙🏼

It needs better forks which the new model has.

I doubt that they would change the cases on the model with manual shifting . Cruise Control is only available on the auto shift model.

Yamaha: if you have this, with the Y-AMT, available in America by August 2025 at the latest, I’ll buy one.

I got pulled over on a bicycle going 46 mph in a 25 - down a mountain road. Trust me, it's never the bike that gets you in trouble.
It's on the USA website now
Put the XSR900's headlight on it and I'd be into it more.
XSR700 does exist right? lol
I hear this CP2 will be going into a supermoto chassis ie WR700FSM

When will we get an SP?
I think a MT07 SP would be amazing. Unfortunately that would bite into sales of the MT09 SP I suspect.
I would pay a bit extra for one. Not sure why they decided to never tap into that market. At least they finally upgraded the suspension.
Upgraded Suspension please
❤❤❤

if they go to 9k with price im gonna take 4 cylinder honda cbr650r, so i dont think they will price it so high

It’s more expensive

I'm gonna get one so I can do uber eats with it😅
Simpler body panels too .
Shifting is half the fun nobody wants an automatic lol another one ruined

@@HifeMan life's not fare buddy
@@Atlas5-jk8fy I know, that’s why companies make other options or conveniences for those who want or need it. This isn’t rocket science, Bud. 😂
It still comes in both variants only the Y-AMT version is without a clutch/shifter.
It’s an option, you can get it without it.
Shut up about the headlights god
This bike reminds me of RD 350
