Hello brother, Is there any way to manage old playlist (created on A55) on Zx507. As on the Zx507 there is no option for Add to Playlist. Is it possible to install the walkman app from Zx707?
‘i have the streaming player. It is nice that Sony is still updating it with new features as of June 2021. The only issue is battery life isn’t the best compared to other Walkman’s in the past.
Just got the zx507. It is amazing. Still burning in but it pairs well with Z7M2. Love the palm size and great sound. Bonus is we can load whatever apps we want from Google. So for example with isyncr, I can sync my iTunes playlist easily with this player. Point to note is to sync to the Music folder for the Sony Walkman app to recognize the iTunes playlists and songs.

Hello brother, Last week I bought a new Zx507 (From japan), but the battery back up is very bad I upgraded from A55 to ZX507 I disable all the application only using the walkman app, Last night I switched off Zx507 at 88% and today I switched ON it's around 75% Is it a normal behavior for ZX507?

@@sharmatechtalk Mine drains a bit, maybe a few percent overnight. It’s not nearly as much as you’re experiencing. My 507 was made in Japan. I think Sony switched manufacturing to China recently. You can’t replace the battery. If it’s faulty, you can ask Sony if they’ll service it for you.
question on music playback for the Sony NW-ZX507... The stock music player is not gapless. I genuinely like that feature. Do you know of any or recommend another music player that is gapless and bit perfect (which I assume the stock sony music player is)?

No the DAP doesn’t need any particular headphones to perform best. Every headphone has its own sound signature. Don’t buy one until you’ve done plenty of research about how it sounds.

Check out the A105 from Sony. Also, Fiio and Shanling have cheaper products that run Android and will support Tidal. I’d suggest going through the discontinued products from these companies and finding a relevant option used on eBay. There is no useful upgrade from year to year with DAPs.
My sd card is constantly "calculating" storage when my Walkman is connected to microsoft media player via USB type C port, which sucks because the only way I can add songs is if I take the sd card out, plug into my computer, grab the files and drag them onto the sd card, take the sd card out once files are transfered then insert it back into the player.
Just wanted to add I absolutely love it. Totally worth it (especially if you avoid the eu version) and I like it more than my mojo2poly combo with sounds lifeless in comparison. The battery life sucks but I don’t care because it is so good with the equaliser and (optional) sound enhancers that make especially casual listening from UA-cam music a joy. To save battery life, I set UA-cam music and Spotify to make auto offline playlists, and then I turn on airplane mode and go on a 3 hour walk with my heavily equalised/bass enhanced ath-es10 cans and I consider it endgame at least in casual (or non-analytical ) listening perspective.

The 507 has a different firmware, which includes additional DSP available in the Sony audio player app. The additional DSP is not available on the cheaper models. I can't tell you if the DSP will make the "sound better" since it has nothing to do with making anything better. It's simply additional features for you to play with to tweak the sound.
Do you know any DAP or android player (software) which It's EQ has options of very low frequencies? (bellow 32hz..)(like hiby app has..) Also, do you know any android plyer-software with possibility to save EQ profiles you have adjusted?

Hi, thanks for subscribing. I think the 507 is the better option. It's cheaper, for starters, and has more power output. There is indeed some sonic difference between using third party apps and Sony's proprietary music app, but comparing the two devices in stock music app--they sound alike. The greater power on the 507 more easily drives larger headphones, and when the drivers get more efficient power they tend to sound a little different from the WM1A. But comparing on IEM or easily driven headphones, I can't tell a sound difference. Sometimes it appears that the WM1A has a slight bass emphasis, but then in another track that turns out differently. Comparing the three Sony DAPs I have, I struggle to hear any meaningful differences. I really do not see a justification for the WM1A with the 507 available. The ability to use third party apps, full Android functionality, greater power, smaller size, essentially identical sound...all combines to make me recommend the 507 over the WM1A. To be honest, I've tried to sell the WM1A a few times...and I haven't yet done it. Every time I think I'm going to list it, I stop because it is unique in its design. So, I suppose if you just want a unique Sony player without frills, the WM1A is good...though still pretty expensive. Hope this helps.

Man these Sony's are best daps. Some of these other brands just seem to have qc issues imo. I'm honestly annoyed with a new release every freaking year lol.
I agree. Sony's don't get a lot of attention. Sony doesn't spend a lot of effort marketing like other brands (Fiio, AK, Hifiman, etc). And the majority of audiophiles are taught incorrectly to believe/expect DAPs to have the latest components. I've had so many DAPs from the popular brands that I noticed the trend fairly quickly. Players are often hampered on purpose, internal build is sketchy, sound quality does not change from year-to-year, and the companies were just focused on selling theoretical numbers on spec sheets than actual useable products.

The SS cards worked but the transfer rates are different depending on the ports. That wouldn’t be a problem for FLAC libraries but WAV or other very hefty files the lower transfer rate would slow down the read times.

I am not agree that Astell has bad sound. I have had SR15, MK70 II and they sound very nice. I have decided to move up and ordered iBasso DX220. Many reviewers mention this model as one of the bests with serious sound. The next step for me could be Astell SP1000M or SP1000 Ultima which is considered as a king of pure sound.
If you can handle the weight and size (not to mention the price), the 4z is a very good headphone. It provides very good imaging, above-average soundstage, clear mids, tight and fast bass, and good but not piercing treble extension. The detail retrieval is above average--not the best, and certainly nothing to gripe about. It retains Audeze's sound signature--so if you're happy with the LCD-2 sound, the 4z is merely a refinement of it. But, to be honest, the 4z isn't $3000 better than the Focal Clear. In fact, the Clear has more detail presentation, wider soundstage, width and verticality, and and just a tad more clarity. So, it really comes down to what you prefer in sound (and money).

I don’t think I’d call either an upgrade. They have different sound signatures. The Z1 is a warmer with a bit more bass emphasis. Soundstage on the 4Z I think is also a little wider. What impressed me about the Sony drivers is how they change with more power, and you can get a tighter response with more power. The 4Z stays consistent in comparison. I’ll be happy as a clam listening to the 4Z and switch to the Z1 and get a different experience, but equally pleasant. I know this isn’t particularly helpful, but I don’t want to suggest one or the other is inferior.
@@NoThemeReviews the 300 feels old school and easy to use. I love the smooth OS, never any problems. The only other DAP I will get Is a pioneer 300R. I will be honest I have a decent amount of mp3 tracks from old CD rips, but I'm not sold on streaming yet. 🤷🏿♂️
0:36 i suspect this is because our governments dont want japanese products to be sold in western markets (I'm thinking of tariffs). So any marketing that companies like sony would pursue would be in vain. Its a shame because they have some quality products over there

Sony also increases power on it's DAPs and still writes 50mw or 200mw so as not to piss off those who paid for more expensive models. for example, my NW-A55 sounded way more powerful and much better than the ZX300 3.5 output with the same IEMs and settings. I know the ZX505/7 will beat the ZX300 easily since it shares a few parts with the $8000 DMP-Z1. With Sony, you have to hear it for yourself.specs don't tell the full story.

There are plenty of players that allow gapless. Usually there's a setting in the music player app you can toggle.

You certainly can download any app you want. It's a full Android OS.

Depends. Do you want more power and the additional software features? If not, then the A105 is probably fine.

HiBy is the only app I use on Android. I think PlayerPro has a 10 band EQ down to 32

The 507 already has a great Dac. You might want an amplifier for your headphones for maximum performance out of their drivers.

Yes. Sony integrates its DAPs with its headphones very well.
why the dislike of the fiio m11? it is a fantastic player with pretty much everything you need.
It has audible noise with IEMs, the all to DSD feature is a total gimmick, SD slots have weird and unnecessary constraints

I don’t think I’d call either an upgrade. They have different sound signatures. The Z1 is a warmer with a bit more bass emphasis. Soundstage on the 4Z I think is also a little wider. What impressed me about the Sony drivers is how they change with more power, and you can get a tighter response with more power. The 4Z stays consistent in comparison. I’ll be happy as a clam listening to the 4Z and switch to the Z1 and get a different experience, but equally pleasant. I know this isn’t particularly helpful, but I don’t want to suggest one or the other is inferior.

@@NoThemeReviews the 300 feels old school and easy to use. I love the smooth OS, never any problems. The only other DAP I will get Is a pioneer 300R.
I will be honest I have a decent amount of mp3 tracks from old CD rips, but I'm not sold on streaming yet. 🤷🏿♂️

Sony also increases power on it's DAPs and still writes 50mw or 200mw so as not to piss off those who paid for more expensive models. for example, my NW-A55 sounded way more powerful and much better than the ZX300 3.5 output with the same IEMs and settings. I know the ZX505/7 will beat the ZX300 easily since it shares a few parts with the $8000 DMP-Z1. With Sony, you have to hear it for yourself.specs don't tell the full story.
