the balance of power is so trash that if you lose a core state gives a modifier of -0.50 weekly to the left even if you win the war and are at peace, but the modifier non disapear never
Sounds realistic, if you’re claiming to try to rebuild the Roman empire like Mussolini losing any territory is a bad look no matter how many years in the future it is
Happened to me, i lost jerusalem wich i cored as i was pushing trough half europe, and despite gaining 200 cores province as i pushed, the whole empire had begun a civil war
sadge
Lol, this dlc and update are just half finished and sad
@@kylejackson1502 it's a shit mechanic whether or not it's realistic.
@@vadimpetit224 well i am sure that if you rebuilt the roman empire in 2 years you'd have a lot of instability
Fun exploit I found , if you even anex Etiopia you will be still at war , meaning you can landlease and lay mines , maybe not useful for so , but for MP this can break a lot , by 1939 you can mine as many as 12 sea titles fully
That's probably only true if halsie(or however you spell it) does board the train. Because I won so fast I wouldn't have been at war even if i annexed all of it.
@@71Cloak true , but if you want to form the roman empire you can just move all soldiers out , and then for 10PP(decision gets avalible) you lose etiopian war , it also bypasses few focus trees so you can potentialy do it sooner.
not needing to worry about that land is bless too
Just split and merge your navy constantly as US, France, Italy, Japan or UK if you want to lag the game to pieces.
I see you spotted the ridiculous italy focus that can give you jet engines + modern airframe super early, fair and balanced thx mr paradox
Which focus is that?
@@sokol4673 Supremacy in the Skies, its at the bottom of the air tree
Also it's easier to pullout of Etiopia , it lets you form the state faster when you move all army out you get new decision for 10pp
Also if you are willing to detour in focus, establishing Italian East Africa solves the garrison problem
Just some points on the touching behavior. An enemy taking our province does not count as being touched. However, if we take a province from an enemy then the enemy is touched.
Bombing isn't reliable. Last game I designed a "touching" strategy bomber, destroyed one of an enemy's infra but still did not touch the enemy after I capped their last major one day after the bombing.
Strategic bombing is reliable for 'touching' enemy countries, you just need to make sure the country you're 'touching' stays in the war for at least a week before capitulating the faction leader.
@@Beonid That explains it. Thank you.
Hey Cloak. At 1:50 you can shift-click fleets as a whole (the first button), you don't need to select each particular flotilla. Then if you want, you can right click them on the reserve bar then press G to merge and you will have a single fleet in 2 seconds, shaves off some seconds.
Thx
exactly what I needed, thanks a lot mate
I really dislike the Balance of Power, it's too interactive and takes away too much from other Gameplay, imagine playing Italy without the Pause Button with Balance of Power, also it being involved in Ideas and not just a Key to unlock specific focusses means that practically, the Balance of Power can mess up your entire Game.
You have to design Planes, Tanks and Ships, build buildings, design Divisions, all this and now you also have to babysit these random bonusses which just interfere with your other Objectives.
Simply impressive, I'll try but you did perfectly and micro so nice
I remember setting up invasions at the start of the game and using them later for Japan. It's kind of bugging out lately
The reason you didn't get Turkey in the peace deal is because they hadn't been in the war for at least seven days.
Also, if you want to save ~30 days on the Yugoslavia wargoal, you can rush down the foreign affairs branch and choose the left branch - it allows you to send a demand to Yugo that they'll almost certainly refuse (they always did for me), giving you a wargoal. In theory, you could save even more time by backing out of Ethiopia and taking the white peace decision, which will give you the option to advance down to Foreign Affairs even faster. The only downside with both of these approaches is the increased time before reaching Mare Nostrum.
Did they change the peace deals? Capitulating France only brings France into the peace deal, never Yugoslavia or Greece
Capping France in this way never brought Yugoslavia into the peace deal. They aren't in a faction so you need to cap them one by one.
neat!
we want a post-patch air video too.
Don’t know if you’d want to do this but if you instantly release Eritrea and Somalia, hold focus and peace with Ethiopia you can skip all the way to Culto al Duce as your first focus as long as you select the event option for struggle in Ethiopia. You lose a bit of balance of power and stability tho.
I'll be honest. I don't see a point in taking the balance of power hit. Those are permanent and focuses are not the limiting factor here. The limiting factor is all the justification you have to do. Might as well get some puppets that will distract the British.
21:40 this is supposed to happen actually, for a nation to be included in the peace deal they not only need to be included in the war but to have also been at war for a certain amount of time I believe one week. So even though you bombed them and they took a tile you still needed to wait 7 days or 8 to be safe so they would be included in the peace deal.
Regarding Turkey, they might not have been in the war long enough.
I think you're right. I vaguely remember hearing something along the lines of requiring to "be at war for at least X daily ticks" to be involved in a peace deal.
I do kinda like how you need to keep Ethiopia in order to prevent the Civil war. But it's obviously too unbalanced at this point. But I hope they implement some sort of mechanic that makes it worthwhile to focus on the African theater. Like having some sort of negative mechanic for the UK if they lose Egypt etc.
Could you also use this strat for greater Italy? Except doing greater Italy focus instead of Roman empire focus.
It takes a certain amount of time at war to be included in a peace deal even if they take land. I think it's like 2 weeks?
7 days
You can start the game off producing a few transport planes for supply in Ethiopia. Can just ditch them after but it makes the war that much easier
I wonder if this works with the achivmeny Holy, roman and an empire? might just be better to pull out of Ethiopia instead?
Man the British air always melts me after I land on the isles. Wonderful video though, shows me how much I suck at the game, a casual 3k hours noob here :P
How? What difficulty were you play on? I normally butcher them so fast I accidently white peace them and have to invade again.
Can I do that in NSB?
Mum called, she wants her son back :_)
Haven't watched full video but would this work if you go for the pope path? Thanks.
yes
Not really you don't want to be at war when you flip to non-aligned because then you become a puppet and have to get rid of those penalties. Also, After you flip you can't chain justify nearly as well because that is a fascist thing and the Pope is non-aligned.
I guess you could just not do any of your politcal tree until after you have all the land needed to form Rome. That would probably work.
@@71Cloak Thank for the reply, might just losely follow this but adjust for s pope version
@@ZarkinDrife yeah basically. You would have to sit around and do nothing in Ethiopia so you can autocomplete the struggles in Ethiopia and then just don't dispose Mussilini until after you have taken all the lands then flip to Pop.
@@71Cloak Could you just pull out of ethiopia or would that affect stuff?
8:36 I laughed hard hahaha
Why did you make so much puppets?
So does that decision (its availability) depend on going a certain political route? Say if I want to make a Communist Rome, is that possible?
Requires Mussolini. There are focuses that cancel or fail or are blocked if he is not the leader.
It's from a focus
Mussolini and the Council of Fascism coup branches from failing in Ethiopia can do the focus, communists can't
NGL, your video here is making me not want to buy BBA. Balance of Power looks like garbage, and the new peace deal looks buggy/annoying as hell outside of demand fleets. Armies not railroading automatically is crap. I was looking forward to the new plane designer, Italian focus tree, and general mechanics, but the rest doesn't look worth it at all.
Speaking specifically of Balance of Power- the stability mechanic already gave a mechanism you had to keep tabs on to make sure you didn't piss off your nation. Now, does BoP replace that entirely, or are there 2 completely separate mechanics? Either way, it looks like a major step backward.
Balance of Power is a different mechanic. Its entire purpose is to put Italy into a civil war if they lose too much. But it is far too rigid for ahistorical runs.
balance of power are in vanilla
with easy?
Would this method work with the grand fascist council and restoring the pope?
War reps do work.
They might do but the resource ones don't work properly. If you get resource rights and then enter into another war you lose the resource rights and can't trade for them either. When you try to trade for them the game gets confused and crashes because you shouldn't be able to trade for something you technically own. It would not surprise me if the same was true for factories.
Why was my Verision of France impossible to break
Same, tried it multiple times now, edit: found the solution i guess: u need to repair all the railroads
CAS designs when
Its not working
I didn't get anything from grinding LMAO!!
Instead of making all those individual puppets, couldn't you form Italian East Africa instead?
More puppets you have the better. Each puppet has a focus tree that gives them factories and they all will give a portion of those factories to you.
First
who cares
fucking 2012 over' here
