I'm thankful for this series for bringing back Post-Crisis Superman into the New 52 universe. Even more so when they included his son and the whole family aspect into his character. Really great mini series!
I'm super sad that Superboy (Kon) isn't around despite Cyborg Superman, Steel, and Eradicator all being around. He was a pretty essential part in the Death/Return of Superman storyline. If they do decide to bring him back, I'd love to see the cocky-idiot hot headed 90's Superboy with cheesy one liners rather than the edgelord Young Justice/New 52 Kon.
Well it's revealed later on that he /is/ Kryptonian, that he's mixed from Lex and Supes' DNA. Granted that's post Zero Hour/Crisis stuff when he joined the Teen Titans later on down the line because retcons, but I think it brings better context to the previous stuff. So then he begins gaining those Kryptonian Powers anyway. Point is; I want them to cut around that stuff and just be like "hey, he's a Superman Clone and he's cocky and bullheaded in a show-offy way -- but still has insecurities about growing up to be Superman because it's the entire reason he exists." and that's what was so great about the original one. Just my opinion, it's not like a weird argument or anything lol.
Damn, you left out the part where he wants to talk to n52 batman. I enjoyed that tiny part of this story. superman is like damn should I try to be friends with this guy. he's not my batman but is still a batman and well look at them now in rebirth.

i have a creepy comic book theory that some one or something wanted their to only be one superman when the cryo chamber seemed not to exist in the 52 universe that would have saved new 52 superman, or simply put it is somewhere else.
The sad thing about Convergence was that it COULD have had potential. A lot of the two shots were actually pretty good, maybe even great, and some had moments that made up for their flaws (like the World's Finest one with Scribbly). The issue is that, for reasons I don't know, they gave the plotting and scripting of the event in general, especially the main book, to someone who never worked in comics before. And it showed. And it treaded on sacred cow territory by essentially screwing up the Multiverse (again) with the ending, where they "stopped" CoIE. So now they have the 52 universe multiverse... and now an unlimited omniverse or something, which kinda felt like a slap to the face to Morrison for all the work he put into structuring the Multiversity. (The one announcement of Multiversity Too, notwithstanding.) While Lois & Clark, and subsequently the new direction of the Superfamily, might've been the best thing to come from Convergence, the writer to continuing with Telos, which was one of the most useless books I've read in a while, was the worst.

His inexperience and his relationship with WonderWoman were awesome to me. Lois Lane just seems boring and unrelatable compared to being with a kryptonian. WW fit that slot.

Yeah. Pre-Flashpoint Superman was trusted as hell. I remember clearly that before Flashpoint, Superman gets so fed up with the US government, he says he's gonna relinquish his american citizenship :-P Also the other heroes thst decided to return to their respective timelines. They didn't died. In DC Comics even erased timelines still continue to exist in the Limbo dimension, more known as Hypertime. Strangely enough while Geoff Johns and other writers were delivering some of the worst stories I've ever since in Superman. Jurgens was doing his best to deliver A+ stories. Which I always found a very convenient set of how things were. We had Johns, Tomasi, and Yang delivering piece of trash stories to the New52 Superman. We had Pak trying his best to handle that trio madness. And we got Jurgens delivering good stories. And it wasn't because his stories were really that great, but more like what Johns, Yang and Tomasi were doing was so terrible that it was no wonder people inclined to read Lois and Clark. Clear sabotage from DC writers, and still they got rewarded with Rebirth. Really to show that the right way to win in life is to put one's agenda first and trash everything else.
There is an excellent video called "Respect:Superman How powerful is he". And it covers the pre New 52 Superman. He's a lot more powerful than he gets credit for.
I read convergence. it had a clear through line and set up DC rebirth as we see the new stuff superimposed over the old which is what has happened to DC.

Okay, I must've not heard you properly when I first watched this video. Pre-New 52 Superman went from his world to a wibbly wobbly event that's actually at the end of the New 52, and then he went to the start of the New 52? So is that why the two Supermen were actually one split up? Because the Pre-52 Superman became the New 52 one and also went to the Convergence event?

Last time I was into the DC comic landscape the new 52 was only a couple years old and now thanx to your videos rob I’m getting back into it and when did rebirth start like what year? I really liked the new 52 for the most part. It has been kinda shocking to see it go to the way side.

Okay, I must've not heard you properly when I first watched this video. Pre-New 52 Superman went from his world to a wibbly wobbly event that's actually at the end of the New 52, and then he went to the start of the New 52?
So is that why the two Supermen were actually one split up? Because the Pre-52 Superman became the New 52 one and also went to the Convergence event?
basically , if your an adult looking at pre 52 which is the former normal universe the new 52 is basically a mixmatch of the dc multiverse basically the im just gonna say original superman with the red shorts superman in fact their should be that difference now that i think about it old superman should be red shorts superman instead of impersonating the new 52 superman by wearing his clothing it is kinda a taboo to do that ,and it is understandible why batman would not trust him i mean he puts on another supermans costume instead of his own it is a unspoken rule. and creates a rift between people.

Last time I was into the DC comic landscape the new 52 was only a couple years old and now thanx to your videos rob I’m getting back into it and when did rebirth start like what year? I really liked the new 52 for the most part. It has been kinda shocking to see it go to the way side.
