Stephan I realise this guy is impressive but would you make any changes at all for submission wrestling, or even more so for MMA given that the objectives of pure wrestling are different?
I actually asked Nick about this in our podcast and his answer was 'fundamentals are fundamentals' You can listen to that here: www.grapplearts.com/physical-conditioning-mental-training-for-combat-sport/
Awesome, yes. Now we are seeing concepts that we take for granted being broken down. Like the sprawl position than is a easy turning point in a fight. I look forward to seeing for concepts similar to this.
When i did this in my bjj class my coach just smirked and told the class to huddle up and say my sprawl was wrong....Im sure it wasnt as perfect but my sprawl had the bounce off the matt that he was explaining...and i tighten my legs and he said it was wrong because i wouldnt have balance
Kevin Nguyen they could, especially if theyre a boxer that stays moving. But 1. I also box 2. Clinch with elbows/knees/punches 3. Head kicks and teep kicks 4. I cam still complete the takedown even if they sprawl
Good stuff. I have a fellow Martial Arts practitioner who always goes for the shoot in randori (he was a HS wrestler). We usually fight to a draw, but I want to find ways to cancel his initial attack. This could be awesome.

@@StephanKesting Thanks Stephan and Nick.
Don't lead with the head. Thats just ridiculous.
@@onerider808 How would you do it?
@@Martial-Mat you’d be a bit more upright in MMA as you could get clocked in the dome
Lovely explanation! Didn't know that I should "twist" my legs.
Thank you !
ME TOO
Great guy to have on, you can see his training in the current fighters he helps.
Imagine Mike Tyson learning this in his prime
NO!!! i cant. it is too scary
@Lxnkzi no shit sherlock
He'd get his freaking head knocked off.
Bro thinks mike Tyson doesn’t know what a sprawl was 😐😐😐😐
@@issyeboi8538 Nah. He'd need to learn Muay Thai as well. He'd get his legs kicked off if he didn't.
I’ve seen this hip bump technique on DVD shown by Frank Shamrock ages ago. Really improves TDD.
This is so good. This guy can explain stuff sooo well.

Nick seems to be a nice guy. Excellent video!
Great video, thank you 🙏🏽
This guy is Genius....he knows what it takes.
Excellent
Active sprawl; I like it. Thanks!
If boxers learn how to sprawl there will almost be unstoppable
Norberto Milan but their legs wont be #muaythai

"The first line of defense is the head." Nothing a Striker likes to hear more.
seemed like he had so much more to say...
Very nice 👍🏼 - thanks 🙏
Great advice. What does he say @ 0:45 though ? How did so & so get beat? Sorry I can't quite get it...
Nice
Nice!
What if they just dont fall on their knees, they stand on legs

Well yea, the bump don't work, that means you seen the shot way too early.
What happend to this man's back neck?
Very charismatic guy teaching the sprawl!
Thank you for making the collab with him, author of the channel 🎯🤺🥇🦾🧠💥🥊♨️🤸❤️🩹
