A month or so ago I was asked if I would guest on his Nerf Archives show and talk about the Dart Tag Furyfire! I love Dart Tag and a good collab, so I said sure. Here we are a month later, and I thought I would post my piece here to feed the UA-cam machine :)

I love this blaster. It is the only blaster we’ve kept since childhood in my family and I still like using it from time to time.
I don't have the Furyfire but I do have a Speedload 6 and three Sharp Shots from the DT series ...and I love them. I picked them up in some Ebay lots and in one of the lots I discovered a bag with 45 Tagger darts in - which weren't mentioned in the description (Score!). Just gotta get one of those Velcro targets! Nice nostalgic review.

Thanks for the review! I keep seeing these pop up in lots on Facebook Marketplace but I wasn't sure what they were. A shame they're hard to modify, it's a decent sized drum for a pump action.
Yup, kind of a bummer, not a bad design other than the performance and how hard to mod
I won against nine 6 year olds with a fury fire
I'm actually in the middle of throwing an A2TK air tank in one. Keeping the stock trigger rotation and hopefully the stock pump grip to fill the tank.
Uh, keep me posted on this! I need to experiment more with air. Massive know how gap for me.
I was there, 1,000 years ago when these got spoiled. I was SO hopeful that Nerf was going to make it air pump instead of reverse plunger tube. I was disappointed ._.
Yeah, these could have been possibly still in use today by modders at least if so. :(

This was I and my brother's first foam blasters. Got the set for (I think) Christmas. I was hooked, my brother not so much. I took orange, he had green. Parents still have both.
So wish there was a modern version. The tactile kachunk of the trigger rotating the cylinder is just plain awesome.

That is the rare one with the painted ring around the front of the cylinder. Looks better IMO.

Fun fact, this blaster can take an ultra spring, you just have to cut it to length and upgrade the catch, and lube up the blaster, I was getting 80fps with full length darts, and close to 100fps with half darts if you remove the dart posts.

@@maritimefoam yeah, that’s the best option for the spring, only thing that you’d want to do is take the spring out of the ultra 5 and put it in the furyfire, or any beefier spring will do
