    Great video. Im in fuel Additives and go on oil tankers and we use flanged 1" pumps similar to husky. The mufflers suck on ours. We valve our air connection though cause we blow our lines after each wing on the ship. Im def gonna look into ARO. Would be nice to just have the chemlock fitting. Our hardware rusts. I will say diaphragm pumps are beasts. Had one break in 5 years. We have 7 pumps. Someone left some nasty chem inside it and didnt flush with diesel. Good video!

    In general everything you've talked about is pretty much common knowledge. How the pump works what causes the fail. Would have been so much better diagnostic on any pump could have been more helpful

    why is the kynar body pump the best? if i was just pumping water would i need a kynar body pump?

    • @Hosebro
      @Hosebro  4 роки тому

      Hey great question. Kynar has the best chemical restiance however its very expensive. 100% go with a poly body even for chemical you can buy 5 new pumps for the price of 1 kynar pump.. a poly pump will last you a very long time 10 plus years with just water as long as you maintain it.

    Great video.sir, I have 1 inch diaphram pumps.problems I m facing with the pumps are cracking of body and bursting of diaphragms.Could you give me any suggestions that how I can get rid of these problems?

    • @Hosebro
      @Hosebro  4 роки тому

      Where are they cracking? For example if you have them bolted down to your truck and you dont have rubber under them it would cause it to crack. Sometimes if your in a cold climate and the water in freezing that would cause an issue as well. Last thing the bolts on the pump need to be tighten from time to time or it will start to leak.

    Hey man, great video. I have a question. I notice that the diaphragm pump that you recommend is 47 GPM. It seems that most of the other guys that I see are running around 12-15 GPM. What's the advantage to using a big one like this for soft/roof washing? Does the compressor need to run less, faster job, etc? Please help, this season will be my first season in business. Thanks in advance.

    Question : you said 12V so what 12V Air Pump are you using? Also looks like they don't have a pressure regulator switch like the much smaller diaphragm pumps do have. There a reason they don't have that option? I know you can add one at the end to it so it doesn't run all the time when the pressure is reached.

    • @Hosebro
      @Hosebro  4 роки тому

      Hey man thanks for watching. We use nothern tools 12v pumps as a a back up they have a switch built in so when it's not flowing water it shuts off by itself when you pull the trigger it turns on. I hope that helps.

    • @Hosebro

      Are you in a humid area? If so I bet your muffler on the pump in freezing and causing your pump to stall. Take off the muffler and throw it away you don't really need it and your pump won't ever stall again. It's most likely building ice up in it and locking the pump.

      I would yes. Boosters out preform air pumps due to they can run a litter more PSI but you have to rebuild them 1 to 2 times a year. As far as air they can go 5 years or more without touching them

    Why is my AODD always freezing up?

    • @Hosebro
      @Hosebro  4 роки тому

      A common reason is your muffler. Wet air if you dont have a separator will cause it to ice over the exhaust post and freeze causing your pump to stall. Try removing your muffler it's a little loud but it will never stall ;)

    • @bdt8895
      @bdt8895 5 років тому +1

      I see this is 4 weeks old, in any case I've sold both for many years and both are good pumps. IMO the All-Flo is easier to repair if need be. They are mechanical and anything with moving parts eventually needs parts replaced. The guy mentions Kynar and Teflon being the best you can buy but those materials can be overkill so it's best to check chemical/material compatibility on the respective manufactures website. No need in spending a ton of money if its not necessary.
