I follow you from Egypt, 🇪🇬and when I see the routine of cleaning the house, preparing food, and the effort made with the children, it is indeed the same routine of struggle as a mother and housewife, despite the difference in nationalities, cultures, and countries. I wish you success.😍
I live in western Pennsylvania and just pulled all my carpet and put in hardwood flooring. Best move I ever made. I do not feel the house is colder at all. Great for getting the dust up more frequently (especially under your bed). Food for thought.
Jamie, it is definately the move and construction, you may not open your windows but the kids are in and out the doors and if they are in the air they get into the house, plus the house was open to the outside for a good period of time while the build was taking place. I do think over time you will conquer it! Once the neighborhood settles down with the construction plus you clean up a ton, it will disappear. Feel better, at least you have answers now! Great Video!
Hi Jamie, hopefully things will calm down once the houses are complete. I am big on NO carpet. We ripped it all out of our old house & never added any to our new build. Honestly I love it & it’s so much easier to keep clean. I can understand why people love it though. Growing up and living most of my life in PA I loved planting Mums & having them on my porches. But in Texas it is way too hot still for them so I have some faux ones from Hobby Lobby. They work well as our house sits way back from the road. Sure hope you feel better.
So I was in college for 2 years and the dorms were concrete walls and I didn’t know until I had graduated and was moving out that my dorm had black mold the ENTIRE TIME. So for 2 years straight I was sleeping up against these walls that had black mold in them. I never had allergies before college and now I struggle with them year round and never put 2 & 2 together until I heard someone else mention the exact situation and had the SAME issues. Sharing is SO extremely helpful so thank you for keeping us updated!!! I hope you are able to get your symptoms under control bc I can relate to how miserable they can be!!
I’ve heard that if you’ve been exposed like that too black mold you need to detox, because it can stay in your body and could create extremely serious health issues later down the road. Not trying to scare you, but I’ve been researching this issue since my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s last year at age 52. His basement where he grew up had mold. It’s just something to test for in your body. Probably need a functional medicine dr. Regular dr’s don’t usually search for this kind of stuff.
I am glad that you are getting to the bottom of your allergies. I love the way that you decorated your front porch! It turned out beautiful! I love how you added the bats! 🧡🦇💛
I ve just saw your video while ironing and it really helped get through all my son's clothes. Thank you so much for sharing your routines and also aspects of your life. I don't miss a single week so keep up! Hope everything goes well with the treatment for the allergy. Have a great sunday and week. Love from Portugal!
Hello Jamie i hope you read this, maybe there are dust mites in your air conditioning system because you clean your bed always but these are a lot harder to reach. Wish you the best, God bless ❤️❤️
I clean houses i can recommend use furniture polish spray on carpet then vacuum, it pick up more pollen, dust , animal hair , and they also have filters put on top ceiling fans which supposed to minimize dust also
The front porch looks SO good. Very clean, simple and festive. I love it! I don’t love decorating a ton like I used too cuz I hate storing it for 11 months 😅
Hi Jamie! Yay, so glad that you finally know what is causing your allergies! Hope the shots work! As far as the bickering, I feel like that’s normal especially when you have been together so long. My hubby and I have been together for 27 years and sometimes we just have an off week. Hope this week is better and glad you were able get some time with your friends!
Happy Sunday Jamie and friends!! I am so glad you got to the bottom of the allergy issue. I love that you can share with us this allergy journey. I don't suffer from it too much but my youngest daughter has them pretty bad. Hers was to pet dander though. We have a pretty decent air filters and vacuum w/ HEPA filter here. We still have our doggy here but my daughter has to get allergy shots. She takes them like a champ because she adores our dog (Bruce). Your front porch looks great too! I love those plants!
I'm glad you finally have an idea of what is going on. My sister went through testing after getting bit and having a severe reaction that sent her to the hospital. There are some new home filters that aren't big like they used to be. I use the pillow and mattress covers. I understand the carpet. I'd try running the robot vac more often.
Hi Jamie! I am allergic to dust mites and noticed a huge change when I got a wooden headboard. I saw a video of all the mites that live in the cloth headboards and I never went back to those headboards! Hope this helps ❤️
Hi Jamie, I was feeling so stressed this morning and your video calmed me right down. Hope you get to the bottom of your allergies. A friend of mine has a similar problem to you and she had to bug spray her whole mattress (repeatedly over a few weeks) just to make sure the mites were dead. Then it was maintenance.
God bless you for sharing about your allergies! You will most definitely help someone by sharing. That’s how I feel about spreading awareness about Celiac disease after I got diagnosed a few months ago with seemingly no symptoms. I’m all for health awareness even more now!
Happy Sunday! I’m glad you found out the information that you were looking for. Hope the shots help. I have carpet in my bedrooms and den area and I love it. I have hardwood in my main living areas. But most homes around us have carpet also. Your dinner looks delicious! Love your porch decor. I haven’t gotten any fall out at all yet because my sister in law passed away last week and I’ve been sick with a virus for the past few days. Keep me in your prayers please. I’m starting to feel a little better today. I think the meds are helping! God bless!
Aww I’m so sorry about the passing of your sister(I don’t like to say sister in law because they are more like bonus sisters to me). One day you will be ok.
I started having severe allergies this summer after I moved as well. I’ve had countless Dr visits and 3 rounds of allergy testing. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
lol @ the doctors telling Jamie she's got to vacuum and clean... haha. glad you know what the situation is now. thanks for the videos, you are inspiring.
I want to thank you so much for open up to us. Sometimes we can look at UA-cam videos and see everyone life and think it perfect. I have to say I have looked your video and say look at you and your hubby looking so happy I even said to myself I bet they don't fight lol so thank you! My hubby has allergic reaction dust mites, and he took allergy shots, and they really helped him. I hope they help you. Keep doing what you are doing I love it. I wish I had talent to make UA-cam video's good as you! You are my role model! THANK YOU!!!
Happy Sunday Jamie! Im so glad you finally got answers for your allergies! I accidentally washed one of those sachet packets. You know, like an envelop to place different places to help with smells. Well I had one in a laundry basket that was my hubby’s. I was washing all his white socks and when it finished washing there was small gold pebbles everywhere. I couldn’t figure it out what it was at first. I had an event I had to leave for so my hubby said he would clean out the washer and clean the laundry room cause it also landed on the floor. As I was driving I realized what it was! I’m usually good about removing the clothes before just dumping into the washer, but not this time!
Happy Sunday Jamie! I'm so excited to watch this week's episode! I want to be more motivated in cleaning! And I'm so glad to watch your fall deep cleaning video so much!! Have a wonderful & blessed Sunday 🙌 🙏! 💛💛💛💛
Hey Jamie…finally catching up with you. It’s been a crazy 2 months! I’m glad you got the results and now you can figure out the best treatment! I can’t take how grown up the twins look! Like just over the summer. Love your front porch 😊
It’s nobody’s business about yalls relationship!!! We all have good days and bad days!!! I’ve been married for 42yrs. I was 18 he was 25 and we made it through a lot but made it through😊👍🏻 Marriage is great but it’s a hard sometimes part of life!!😊❤️
Hell yeah, many good times and some bad times…. I think of arguing like “fighting for ur relationship”. When we stop fighting something is very wrong… also, never sweat what’s not important… the petty stuff just isn’t worth it!!!❤
I started having severe allergies this summer after I moved as well. I’ve had countless GP visits and 3 rounds of allergy testing. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
I have so many different allergies, chemicals and scented. I have one small rug in my entryway but that’s it. It has helped me big time! I also am careful with cleaning products and laundry soap. I live in a cold climate, Canada… lol. But I’d rather be able to breathe normally than be stuffed up all the time. Hope your week goes well. TFS. PEI, Canada
I’m allergic to dust mites too. I was constantly getting sinus infections and realized that’s what was causing them. I did allergy shots. It helps a lot.
Omg I love when kids keep busy doing the school year. My mom is trying to get my sister into sports or an after school activity but I don’t know what she can do because of her allergies
I’m so glad you got answers! I’m also allergic to dust among many other things lol. Allergy shots have helped quite a bit. Another thing that helps is washing your hair at night before bed, especially if you have spent time outside. Dust and pollen can get in your hair when you’re outside. I hope everything goes well with your CT scan!
Ur channel sure is growing alot u have a awesome channel im here watching every time u up load i dont comment alot but i wanted to this time u give good motivation u are doing something always on ur channel
I'm like you. I have sweatshirts I love to wear all the time at home, and I swear I'm clean to 😅 love the recipes, and I got my laundry started while watching!! Have a happy Sunday.... also, who cares what others think in regards to carpet removal you're very clean and I believe you will keep up with this ❤
I'm allergic to dust mites too. I also live in Ohio. The dr told me, to keep the filters changed in my furnace. Don't buy expensive ones. Buy the very basic filters so the furnace can breathe. Keep the sweeper dumped and clean the filters (wear facial mask and dump it outside) also the cabin intake filter in your cars too. No wood burning inside. We now use pellets stove instead. Use sanatize cycle when you wash your bedding. I agree it's an ongoing battle. We have hardwood floors and a basement.
Oh, and Dr's told me to pull sheets and blanket down when I get up so bedding can breathe and dry from any body moisture. Then go back and make it later. But. No sprays that would cause moisture in bedding or carpet.
Hey Jamie, my husband and I both have bad dust mite allergies, we ended up buying air purifiers for our house and it’s helped so much! We’re in coastal Georgia, and we’re both very allergic to dogs and cats, but we have a dog and a cat, so we had to remove the carpet in the house, in coastal Georgia many don’t have carpet anyway. I’m from Kansas though and nothing beats the added comfort of some kind of carpet! We have area rugs and maintaining them with at least once daily vacuuming and regularly shampooing them is a life changer, which I know you maintain yours so well, your carpet always looks brand new! Replacing carpet is so expensive and since yours is brand new still I wouldn’t worry about doing that anytime soon! I’m so glad you have answers and hopefully will be on the track of making your overall health so much better!
I'm so glad you're finally getting some answers! I imagine the construction is the root cause of your flare-ups. Especially due to the timing of your symptoms lining up with when you moved. I'm hoping things clear up for you soon! Also, thank you for the update. I work in healthcare and I did not know such a large portion of people have this allergy. I've never had allergy symptoms, but my oldest daughter has some of these issues from time to time. And it also seems worse in the colder months. I'm going to look into it more, as this may be her problem as well! Thank you!
I use the zipper mattress covers for all my beds as i shared with you before because my son has the same problem really bad but since i started using the zipper covers for pillows and mattresses they really work
My son has a really bad dust mite allergy, too. We did all the standards: mattress cover, pillow covers, no carpet or even area rugs (even in frigid NY), dust and vacuum regularly, launder his linens frequently, etc. He's on 2 different allergy meds. Finally, we put a really good, fairly expensive, air purifier in his bedroom and it has helped tremendously. We periodically move it around the house also, but it spends the bulk of the time in his room because he's a teenager and spends most of his time in there. Good luck!
Hey Jamie, I've been so busy cleaning today. I'm so glad you finally have an answer to your allergies. I also will wear the same clothes again. Especially if they aren't dirty or I stayed in the house all day.
Jamie, Glad you finally received an answer to your allergies. It can be frustrating to not get answers. I'm glad that you share your medical. It may help someone. Not everyone is the same and symptoms may not be the same for everyone. Understandable that you don't want the high expense of changing carpet to hardwood. I think having houses built on both sides isn't helping. It's kicking up dust and who knows what else. Not to mention the dust from the wood and all construction material. With my process of moving my allergies are through the roof right now from the cardboard dust and dust in general. I do a similar crockpot meal but I use carrots and peas with chicken gravy. Add in herbs and spices. Thank you for sharing.
@@JamiesJourney I find with eczema that cool or like warm showers work best. Which a dermatologist suggested to my daughter and I. Also be careful when using lotion. If it is scented it could irritate skin especially where eczema is. Recently I have finally gotten some much needed answers. It took years and getting to a lymph node specialist to get them. If your lymph nodes are not working properly it can cause all sorts of issues: swelling, alligator skin, cracking, nerve pain or issues, eczema ,also weight gain. Can be caused from trauma. Most common is C-sections or surgery in the abdomen area. In addition thanks to Jamie talking about PCOS I was able to get another piece of the puzzle of what is going on with my body. I appreciate you for talking about it. Found out that poor Lymph node circulation and PCOS tend to go hand in hand. Hopefully I'm on a journey now to get to management of these medical issues. Hopefully this will help someone else. Also with the dust mites. It's recommended not to make your bed right away. Pull covers back. Open window shades and let the sunlight dry your sheets before making. My daughter is highly allergic to them. We use covers on pillows and mattresses. Definitely wash bedding regularly.
Jamie, could it be because of all the carpet? Would it help to replace the carpet with another material? If you can't do the whole home maybe just replace the flooring in your bedroom alone and see if that helps your sleeping environment. Also, I have dealt with severe eczema and I increased my vitamin K and that helped me. Cantalope was a good fruit to add to my diet that also helped.
Hi to my favourite lady love your vlogs and look forward to watching them hope your well and the family to all the best hun and happy Sunday from sue in the UK
Thank you for the video! About your allergy, my family's business when I was younger was hardwood flooring. When you lift up the carpet to remove it, it is full of sand, dust and etc.... the cleanest houses have it. I hope the shots help you!
I changed to a roomba vacuum when I’m not home. It will take 1 hour for the dust from vacuuming to settle. And yes I have the allergy shots for a few years now. And I also had the ct scan which ended up with sinus surgery to clear out the infection. Best of luck on your journey!
I’m glad you shared that part about you and Mike. Cause it shows there are flaws in everyone’s relationship even behind the cameras of the ones who seem perfect. It would be great, if you would share how you make it through those moments. Love the little bats 🦇 so cute! I like them on the hood range also. 😉
Hi Jamie, I haven't watched in some time. Life is really busy and just feels like I'm barely staying afloat. So glad you're getting your allergies taken care of and getting to the bottom of it all. It is so frustrating when we have something going on and have to go through the ringer to find out. My 2 year old has been having so many appointments and PT weekly, going to start OT very soon. So many things happening in life and being thrown my way. Thank you for sharing Jamie. ❤
Hi Jamie! I have the same allergy. It is such a pain. I know you mentioned a specific allergy pill you’re taking, but I’m actually using Allegra and that has helped so much. My doctor has me on Benadryl as well, but it made me so sleepy. The other thing that helped with the eczema was my clothes! I used to do exactly the same thing (wear the same clean clothes for a few days), but on my doctor’s recommendation I now wash them after each wear. That’s helped a lot too. I’m sure others will chime in, but happy to chat if you ever want to talk about it. 😊
I'm glad you at least got a little bit of an answer. The allergy shots really should help. I'm with you, I love my carpet especially living in a NE climate. Great idea with the mattress and pillow covers. Keep us posted.
Hello Jamie! I have a friend that puts her Sheets, pillow, quilt in the freezer! The cold is helping to get rid och dustmites (and mite) Sorry fore bad English😅 Thanks for a great channel! ❤❤❤
Appreciate you keeping it real about your marriage. We all go through but as you said, it's how well y'all work together. Love your vids. Btw, your vid w/ the fly trap was so important. I got it and it works fantastic! We caught a bunch of flies on the first day. Real quick advise. Wash your chicken before cooking it. You can put it under water and rinse then let it sit in white vinegar and water for a few minutes before seasoning and cooking. Those packages don't protect from excessive bacteria. Hope that was helpful. 😊
Hey Jamie, I love your channel! You are the friend that lives next door and you is always so encouraging. You have inspired me to start my own channel! I want to be that friend who encourages others. And I have a lot of projects that I am always working on, small home projects, organizing and decluttering as well as upcycling fun home decor I find! My question to you is what editing program and music website would you recommend for editing purposes? My just love some help for someone I admire. Keep up the good work!
My eczema is always worse when I have to wash my hands with harsh soap. My eczema is on my hands. Since my skin is inflamed already any antibacterial soaps or gels just make things worse, especially in the wintertime. The other thing that has helped with my eczema is working on my gut health. When my gut is healthy my allergies symptoms are less.
If you end up deciding to rip out the carpet, you could do it in phases so it's not so overwhelming. We had carpet on the stairs and upstairs. We got pricing to do it through our builder and it was so expensive we took the "included" carpet. When we decided to get rid of it we got multiple quotes. It was so much cheaper to do on our own, but still not a cheap project. Also, it's REALLY messy and loud. I was cleaning up sawdust for two weeks. In the end it was totally worth it, but you have to be ready for it. The floors don't have to be totally level for carpet, so once the carpet comes up, they have to level all the subfloors and then install the new flooring. I live in California so the weather is pretty mild most of the time and we were able to have all the windows open, which helped. I'm really glad we did it, I've noticed a huge improvement in my allergies. I totally understand not wanting to jump in and start ripping new carpet out. I haven't noticed the house being any colder without the carpet, but we do live in Northern California so no snow here.
Hey Jamie, hope you feel better. When I lived in cold weather, we had all hardwood floors and the floors in the kitchen and the family room had heated flooring.
Hello from rainy UK I've just discovered your channel and love it. I wish we had windows like you do in US. All I get is condensation between panes 😂. Your house is beautiful too. ❤
Hi Jamie, your girls are so sweet! I’m so glad you have answers to your allergies. It may seem like nothing but the least allergy is hard. I was tested and found out I have a ton of outdoor allergies and indoor as well. It’s hard when trying to clean being a mom of 3 and wife. I highly recommend getting pillow protective covers with zippers for you and Mike. Even a washable mattress cover. I went through the allergy shots for 5 years. I took a break but I’m in a new build and they are horrible now. Immunologist recommends I get tested again and try shots. It’s a non stop battle. I also have been washing all my clothes as hard as it is separately. It really has made a difference. Also wearing cleaning gloves as painful as it is when cleaning and a mask when dusting. I hope with all the medical professionals and possible community help you can find some sort of solution to get a little comfortable. It never ends. Good luck and hang in. There are some good days. 🤍

I’m so glad you have your answers Jamie! I have no recommendations, but giving you a virtual hug!
Damp dusting helps. That is slightly dampen the duster before dusting. Use a dust mask when vacuuming the carpet.
The Twins look so cute running around dusting and "vacuuming".

Omg I love when kids keep busy doing the school year. My mom is trying to get my sister into sports or an after school activity but I don’t know what she can do because of her allergies
Hello Jamie I'm following you from San Antonio Texas
I love your motivation gets me going thanks today is the first day of Fall it's 94 here
Hello!! Thank you for joining me! ❤ I'm so happy to hear that! Have a great week!
I live in central Indiana so I totally understand keeping the carpet! Wishing you good luck with your allergy journey.
Jamie I always enjoyed your videos
I appreciate that! 😍
Thanks for the tips! :)
Have a happy Sunday.... also, who cares what others think in regards to carpet removal you're very clean and I believe you will keep up with this ❤
Aw thanks for joining me! I love cozy sweatshirts!! ❤
Another motivation video thanks Jamie's am still watching ❤
Yay! Thank you for joining me! ❤
Thank you!
Hi Jamie, I'm glad you are getting to the bottom of your allergies. The porch turned out beautiful! Love the 🦇😱 ❤
Thank you! ❤❤❤
Happy Sunday Jamie ❤
Good luck with the allergies Jamie I hope the shots help. Your Fall decorations look great 🍁
I use the zipper mattress covers for all my beds as i shared with you before because my son has the same problem really bad but since i started using the zipper covers for pillows and mattresses they really work
That's so good to know!
Thanks for the info! My daughter has similar symptoms. I'm going to look into a zipper mattress for her!
Loving all the fall cleaning motivation! Your home is looking so cozy and ready for the season, Jamie! 😍
Thank you! I'm feeling good about it!
Good luck!
Just bought an air purifier. They are so helpful.
Returning old subscriber , I love how detailed you get when it come to deep cleaning and doing your recipes. Thank you so much for your videos.❤
Hey Jamie, I've been so busy cleaning today. I'm so glad you finally have an answer to your allergies. I also will wear the same clothes again. Especially if they aren't dirty or I stayed in the house all day.
Jamie,
Glad you finally received an answer to your allergies.
I'm hoping it can help someone out by my sharing! I'm also getting a lot of helpful tips and encouragement here! Thank you :)
Hi Jamie you put 2023 and it's 20 24. I like watching your videos they are awesome . Good job.
Thanks for that! Haha! Obviously time is just flying by ❤
@@JamiesJourney yes it is have a wonderful sunday
Thank you for the video! About your allergy, my family's business when I was younger was hardwood flooring. When you lift up the carpet to remove it, it is full of sand, dust and etc.... the cleanest houses have it. I hope the shots help you!
Always enjoy your videos...so sorry about your allergies.hopefully you will figure out the solution....Love the porch!!!!
Thank you! It feels so good knowing the answers now!!
I definitely agree with you about the dust being kicked up do to the new builds around your house.
Happy Sunday to you Jamie journey ❤❤❤❤
I changed to a roomba vacuum when I’m not home. It will take 1 hour for the dust from vacuuming to settle. And yes I have the allergy shots for a few years now. And I also had the ct scan which ended up with sinus surgery to clear out the infection. Best of luck on your journey!
Thank you for sharing your story! 💛
I’m glad you shared that part about you and Mike. Cause it shows there are flaws in everyone’s relationship even behind the cameras of the ones who seem perfect. It would be great, if you would share how you make it through those moments. Love the little bats 🦇 so cute! I like them on the hood range also. 😉
Love your videos Jamie you get me motivated! Can I ask where you got the chicken shredder? Thank you for all you do!❤
Aw thank you! Here is the link to the shredder: rstyle.me/+xysg5h4cp4z1tAi_CrZ06g
Hang in there! It sounds like you are working really hard ❤ I can tell that you are a great mama!!
@@JamiesJourney Thank you so very much, your words mean a lot 🥺!!
Yes omg allergy season is almost here. I literally go nuts cleaning because my sister has allergies and all the dust makes her allergies crazy.
Hey Jamie,,,,going to try crock pot receipt. Hope the allergy shots make you feel better 🥰
I hope you enjoy it!!
Love you cleaning motivation ❤
Happy Sunday
I'm glad you at least got a little bit of an answer. The allergy shots really should help. I'm with you, I love my carpet especially living in a NE climate. Great idea with the mattress and pillow covers. Keep us posted.
Jamie I always love your video ❤ I hope you will better with allergies🙏
Thank you!! I appreciate that! ❤
My son has had this for 20 years and it caused alot of flare ups and he has to use Elidel creme and it works amazingly
Hello Jamie! I have a friend that puts her Sheets, pillow, quilt in the freezer!
The cold is helping to get rid och dustmites (and mite)
Sorry fore bad English😅
Thanks for a great channel! ❤❤❤
Oh that is so interesting!! Thank you for sharing!
Getting a Rainbow vacuum cleaning system will help. It helps so much with dust mites because it is a water cleaning system.
Your house is decorated and designed so nicely!!
Thank you so much!
I always love your videos Jamie ❤❤❤
I appreciate that so much! ❤
So excited about this video ❤️❤️❤️
Yay! Thanks for watching! ❤
Have you been cleaning the filter on your air exchanger? Maybe that would be helpful to you
Love these videos! And I love the color you chose for your bedroom walls. Do you remember the name of the paint color? Thank you ❤️
I would recommend getting more air purifiers, you should have one in every room. It’s definitely the construction! Hope it gets better!
I love your content. You have a beautiful house and family.
I do the same solution for my garage but then i will mop out with hot water and vinegar to keep all bugs away and it has worked for me for years
That's a good idea! 💛
