Hi sir, Great content as always, I just wanted to ask if you could make a video on how to make a speech please, I am struggling on how to write a descent speech at the moment.
Thanks man, I’m not being nit picky but I think slow sprinter would have made more sense as an example since they run fast 😂. Like I said not trying to be rude or anything, great video.
I would say no because pretty is used to describe a noun or adjective. However, pretty is also used as an adverb, which is what you are describing. It can be replaced with a word like “fairly”. The fairly ugly…. If you are describing someone as pretty ugly, you are saying that person is fairly ugly. Now, if you said beautifully ugly, then that would be an oxymoron.
@@valenkennedy3879 i would disagree, since ‘pretty’ whether its used in place of a word like ‘fairly’ its still contrasting to the word ‘ugly’. I mean, i’ve seen a book title named ‘pretty ugly’ which was an autobiography of a girl with bad self esteem and so it can be used as an oxymoron depending on the intent i guess.
I really think you should ne my teacher. You are so logical. You make it simple when you explain. You are a star!
