Nice work, I shared this video from my Community page. I hope it sends some more traffic your way. 7 videos in 7 days, very ambitious! You're already more than halfway there :)
I'm either going to try building this adapter, or maybe I'll try the Datasette mod that Adrian Black gave me some info on. It seems even easier! Thanks for sharing this info.

I really like your videos. 7 Commodore videos in 7 days has become the highlight of my day :-) Thank you so much! Awesome piece of kit you have created here, just like the reset button is.

Anyone knows about some better adapter, allowing both playing, recording, and tape motor control (via REM socket)? The only ones I can find are these simple ones.

Hi, I uploaded the diagram on to my www.Facebook.com/breadboxNZ You will have to scroll down to Jan 02 2020 and download it from that post. I just uploaded the diagram to PCB Way www.pcbway.com/setinvite.aspx?inviteid=334307 and they made the the board for me.

Nice work. Why did you choose rca over a 3.5mm socket? Either works I guess..

Tim Toolman I think he did that to make it easy to split the stereo output of the CD player to mono.

Fair enough, tho I hope the CD has the same data both left and right!

Surely it must be the same speed as a regular cassette - it’s using the same interface!

    • @8_Bit

Same interface, but the fast load protocol might be right near the theoretical speed limit, as it doesn't need the extra safety margins cassette's warble and noise requires.
