Asking a Lucio player not to rollout on Lijiang is like asking a bird not to fly
this and rialto bridge booping rollouts (catching a lone character coming off respawn)
Like in ilios
I'm pretty notorious for booping a death blossom into a teammate to save myself lol
YES THIS I DEADASS SAID IT WHILE LISTENING 🤣.
I feel so bad when I do it and I get real quiet. Or I book a charging Rein that would have hit no one but my book reposition him enough to snatch the other support
It survival of the fitest for us out here
Especially as a dps lucio
I agree with the reloading part tbh do it to much!😂
Same! I do it on all games haha
At this point, Reloading to me is a Matter of OCD and Habit
I unblinded my reload and then just started emptying my not full mags if I wasn’t in a fight for auto reload
I blame COD for this 😂😂😂
@@RauKnowsOW I only reload when I’m behind people so a reaper don’t sneak
Me
Lucio is one character that I do not stay conscious of how much ammo I have I just hold down my mouse and then when he reloads its just like "oh ok"
I agree with number 2 so much! I hate respawning with a Lucio and watching as they just leave me in the dust!
Bye Lucio 🥺
Gotta be faster buddy💀

The worst is when the match starts and Lucio just wallruns and leaves the whole team behind.
More tips for lucio. If someone starts running from a team fight and they're low speed boost ahead using wall ride and boop them into your team. Especially useful if you have a rein because the moment you boop them into range they're done. Beat drop makes you automatically jump so don't jump before you use it. The extra time if the air leaves you vulnerable. Only go solo if you can garuentee a kill and the enemy team is split up. Don't try and get boop kills if you need to engage a team fight unless the enemy is losing the team dight because panic will lead to a poor game sense making it easier to boop people off the map. On most maps that have lots of boop opportunities stay high up makes you harder to see initially and makes an easy escape route if you know how to surf consistently. Stay next to your tank a lot. Speed boosting and healing a tank makes them harder to go down and closes distance faster making team fights more favorable. If you see a mercy at spawn and your team isn't in a team fight. Go pick her up other than wrecking ball lucio is the fastest with good wall riding so you can get more heals overall. Lucio's main kit of not for healing. Yes he can heal but speed boost is just as important because yeah a rein sheild can take a D.va bomb but it breaks but so can a wall in the environment speed boost to natural cover and you have more reasorces for the fight after bomb. Use amp only if you see someone on critical its one of the longer cooldowns so it needs to be used wisely. Beat can completely protect from D.va bomb but it has to be timed perfectly. You'll learn the timing eventually but a good place to start is beat around 2 sexond after you hear "nerf this" and stay away from the bomb once you learn the perfect timing you can stand kinda close and survive it. Beat is a coubter to almost every offensive ult there is. No doubt. Sigma, zar, soldier, cass, sombra rein, echo, hanzo, genji, kiriko, junker queen, D.va, junkrat. Road hog, doom, bastion, torb, sojurn. Some have to be avoided like sombra and rein because if you don't you cant activate it. Finally don't go with basic controls. I use a few weird controler bindings so I can surf/jump, crossfade, shoot, amp and consistently stall wall ride on the walls even on controller without my thumbs leaving the movement and aim sticks it makes it feel comfortable and fluid. I don't have to sacrifice aim for wall riding or the other way around. Experiment for what works with you!
Source: i have almost 400 hours on lucio because I got him is mystery heros once and never turned back
Great advice.
My one weakness is stupidly Ult'ing in the middle of Wrecking Balls Ult, then landing right on one of his mines.
I assume I do it because I hope that the extra health will allow us to tank some of the mines. Hindsight is always 20/20 but something just clicks, a cursed instinct?
Awesome tips. Really helpful for a new ish lucio player
not reading all that
I aint reading all that
i only have 30 hours and the being patient with boop attempts is hard.
only tip i can think of not mentioned is that there are some really consistent boop patterns that if ur sensitivity is fast enough you can muscle memory a boop into some easy headshots on most characters, making 1v1s a lot more feasible
The booping part is so true. I’ve had so many times where one of my Lucio’s booped my target and threw off my aim so they escaped. Or as Roadhog, they would boop people I literally just hooked toward me, so now I didn’t get the maximum damage from that. It’s even worse when I’m playing any aim reliant character like Widow or Hanzo and they keep causing me to miss because they spam the boop the second it comes off cooldown
Just had this happen yesterday an enemy Lucio booped me safely away from his reaper haha
I got this Lucio on QP, he plays aggresivelly like 1v1 enemy genji, widowmaker, and or attacking whatever dps enemy team has, is that viable?
@@gokikuburi8653 yes, that's a lucios job. Contest DPS

I’m reloading too much because he’s got 20 shots in a four round burst lmao
honestly his biggest weakness in 1v1 potential lmao
Either that or his book being nerfed and his boop not doing 5 extra dmg like just BUFF LUCIO
My bad habit is that I rely on boop too much. I usually use it as an initiation attack for an enemy I’m ganking
Boop em in the air and track them on the way down. What they gon do? Walk away? Don't think they can walk in the air.
“Stay with your team”
Frogger: is that a joke?
Even frogger says that the reddit Lucio playstyle is kinda dead. But who gives a shit? Not stopping me from harrasing their Ana.
Idk why but Lucio clips always remind me of the time a booped reaper into a pit right as he started his ult.
The “ reload too much is very, very true
Booping is also so good when a road hog grapples you, you can launch them away and run back to your team
That's what i do everytime a roadhog hooks me. As lucio you are esentially immortal lmao
here are some tips from a lucio main back from the launch of overwatch 1
lucio is a hero that really needs you to have situational awareness. his ult doesn't come out instantly, so, while using it in response to some stuff will work if you're out of range, since you're always sticking with your team it's important to keep yoir lookout for enemy body language or positioning that might be a tell on their ult coming out soon (reaper alone up on the high ground, sigma rushing into your team, d'va jet boosting upwards, etc).
it's also important to keep your awareness up to notice map geometry that might be advantageous to your wallride ability; like a spot where you can climb onto high ground or gaps that can be crossed to shorten your time getting to the objective. not everything is going to be in rollout videos so it's important to learn the map by yourself.
you're also probably only using your speed boost for getting out of spawn. but using it in fights when initiating the enemy can be really useful as it can throw off the aim of some heroes and potentially mitigate more damage than your healing would. it is also very useful for catching your team up with the robot in the new push game mode.
lucio is one of the best heroes to help stall objectives. with knowledge of rollouts his speed can beat the majority of heroes on some maps, and using his wallride on the objective in combination with his role passive, amp and sound barrier (even when used only for yourself) can make him a very tricky target to dispose of and can lend a very useful couple of seconds to your team.
as a lucio main that just started… i never came across these issues.
Another thing is spamming crossfade to attempt both auras at once. This is not a thing.
People commonly mistake Lucios aura for lasting 1 second after leaving the aura.
Which is true, however if the aura changes that is immediately cut out.
Aura spam is only good if you use it to control your movement between walls.
Ah yes luchio
For the first one instead of booping people away, u can use your mobility to get around them and boop them towards your team. It works really well on zaryas because they like to play aggro with bubbles
Pro tip: either bump off map or against a wall (you should make sure that you're not alone so someone else can finish your enemy off)
One of my favorite parts about playing Lucio is watching the health bar of whoever is flanking my team drop as I boop them back further into our team when they try to run away
Also your boop is really good at saving teammates, if you see one getting harassed run in quick to boop them away and depending on their health use the speed aura to help them get some distance
Me: shoot 1 bullet
My brain: RELOAD NOW!!!!
nah booping is super fine because it’s an extra boost of damage to finish off a kill
definitely agree with the booping at wrong times. I have the most hours on Lucio but overtime playing him, I've realized that sometimes booping them isn't always the best options because it can let them escape easier when we could've just killed them together, so I'm proud I noticed that but I know I still have a long way of getting better with him
Yup thats me i boop anything that moves team mates included 😂
Pro tip: Use Lucio’s ult on the enemy’s corpse after you beat them in a 1v1 🍷🧐
Same aura as telling your scared teammates to unbind their S key, it’s solid advice but still funny as hell lmaooo
For the first one always boop an enemy reaper away from your squishys especially if he has used fade. Just try angle it so that it doesn't send in back to his team but keeping your team alive is primary goal
Number 2 is all situational, and I would argue that it's still a good idea to know proper rollouts for when you need to use them.
Taxi'ing has its places usually near the end or before a teamfight starts so you can get the 1 or 2 people that died back faster. Knowing how to do a fancy rollout back to spawn will help you speed boost them back to the fight faster.
If you die however, and you spawn and another person dies there is no real benefit to waiting the extra 10 seconds for them to spawn when you could get back to the fight faster and either heal/save your remaining teammates, even stall the point, or make a play, now if it's like 3 seconds then yes.
Knowing good rollouts is paramount for good Lucio play. Knowing when to use them is great.
Every time I have a Lucio on my time they do the quickest rollout I’ve ever seen in my life, get to the objective before anyone else, and then decide to move towards the enemy team and immediately get folded because nobody is there yet.
One thing as well is jumping in neutral, if you and your team are on flat ground and you don’t have walls for bursts of speed to juke, jumping makes you an easy target and totally negates the value of your speed boost, especially when playing against characters that rely on predicting movements on smaller targets, like Hanzo arrows for example.
I’m a Reaper main on DPS and getting booped into the enemy team while I’m ulting is the greatest thing because it goes from killing one Lucio to getting a triple
What excellent advice, however, I have more fun being a hindrance than trying to win. Being a cockroach flying through the air while occasionally booping an ultimate into my team is some of the most funny moments I've had in the game.
I have the same habit as I did in call of duty: reloading after almost every shot taken and sometimes getting severely punished for it
My man just asked Lucio players to not rollout on Lijang 💀
real lucio mains ignore this mans advice and feed into the backline like chads
The reloading part is brutally true for me lol.
God I’ve seen so many people screw up that first point. Whenever I see someone booping the enemy team into our team or booping away without realizing how out of position they are I get a bit annoyed. Whenever it’s a close up team brawl something I like to do is if they have a Reinheart holding up a shield in our teams face, I quickly dip behind and bounce him into the middle of our team and get him killed in seconds
As someone who uses lucio on support, it hurts whenever i queue a game not as support, and someone is lucio, and switches to healing mode from the beginning, and never changing... like, we dont need healing rn, give us that speed boost 😭😭
Another bad habit for new Lucios is being a heal bot. Use speed+amp to get your teammates out of fights or sticky situations or even speed+amp into the enemy team when they’re trying to back off cause they lost some people. If your team is stuck trying to push through a choke, you can speed boost them through the choke. Speed is definitely not used as often as heal with new lucios. Also another thing you should do with lucio is enable backwards wall riding through settings it’ll show up as an option if you try to make specific control binds for lucio.
(Edit):
For beat(ult) do not Ajax beat or try your best not to. Lucio ult is definitely an ult that can influence a team fight dramatically. An Ajax beat is just a term used to describe lucios that use their ult and die before it pops off. So if you’re about to die try not to instinctually pop your ult. Beat can counter reaper and genji ults if timed right and can also keep your team alive in other scenarios like shatter from rein or emp from sombra. Lucio ult is definitely one you try to hold on to as long as possible in a team fight to reap the most benefit from the all the excess health it gives your teammates.
Just some tips I’d thought I’d share from one lucio main to another in the works :)))
As a lucio player, I have turned the tables of a match with my ult in half of the matched I've played as him
Seriously mist of the times I use my ult, the enemy is not getting anywhere close to the payload for the rest of the match.
Also, the speed boost is a huge advantage in the beginning of the match. I always start with Lucio, then switch if I die and my ult isn't anywhere near charged
Instructions unclear: Now I’m 1v1ing their lucio
You won right?
@@yeetdagamer8546 1-1
Lucios that leave spawn and disappear for 2 minutes are the fucking worst
Man the bad boops I've seen helping the enemy team and getting us decimated. 😅
*me and my dumbass reloading everytime I lose 1 bullet
I was definitely reloading too much after following your advice. Tysm!
He said lushio at the beginning and idk why but it made me laugh so much
The reaper used raith on your team and is in the back lines 💀 get him away asap, hes gonna pop it
My only pick is with Reaper, the only way to beat him is keeping a distance so you can out damage his heals. Boop when needed.
With the reload one, it's better to bind it to something else that's far away on the keyboard so that you can still do it but you also learn not to spam it
The extra habit is pretty helpful tbh
Man called him jushio
I could never get the hang of wall riding with him
As a Lucio 1 trick, with almost 300 hours on him, I still do all 3 of these. Only one I have an excuse for is reloading, because I used to play a shit ton of CoD, and I still haven’t broken the habit.
As a support main and a doom one trick before he became tankfist as Lucio try to boop enemies into your team, your gun as range if u can land shots you can do good damage on snipes at range in different angles not needing to dive if you hit some shots you can bully as lucio with that boop hitscan to miss up there aim and hide around corners when wall riding if you confident to dive but know if you can or can’t and don’t stay on heal to much
Reloading too often is something that applies to most new players in general, not just lucio players.
It's especially bad for lucio as he does has a longer reload
It hurts me to see any Lucio rush objective instead of helping the team. yes we all know, Lucio is awesome and can get to objective in half the time if most characters, maybe faster depending on the map but as a Lucio main I’ve acknowledged that I am a SUPPORT character and am there to help my team succeed
The most important job lucio has is positioning. These rules are very different if you have good communication with your team. You can delete a barrier tank by pushing them *into* your team if they focus him down immediately
The amount of times I’ve panicked and booped an ulting reaper into my team and killed us all is embarrassing 🤦🏽♀️😂
Another top 500 lucio tip. When a reaper ults boop him into your team to get abuse and get to report your team mates for free because you "made a mistake"👍
Ah yes, my favorite hero...
*Lushio*
Thanks for the reload idea didn’t realize I did it
A Lucio booped me mid death blossom into his team and got them all killed lmao
If you are good at the rollouta and his movement in general, and you are on push or control, you can jump ahead of the team and push back the enemies to stall for your team, you should probably only do that if you know you can stay alive tho.
Add a forth: not activating their heal
My bad habit is booping a charging Rein into my teammates. Sometimes I’ll do it on purpose.
If your on controller. Switching my jump to my left trigger, and changing my beat change to 'A' or 'X' (if your on playstation) makes it so much better
If Lucio isn't your main check out this playlist for all of the heroes I have covered :) ua-cam.com/play/PLrrIBI2SU_lz9z1MPhOC3nfRjf2DqZynQ.html
1: having fun
One pairing I love is Lucio and junker queen. Double speed.
ITS LUCIO NOT LUSHIO, it always freaks me out when somebody says Lushio
(All of these are my bad habits so good to know)
The worst part is I'm aware of the reloading and still haven’t been able to break the habit lol
As for the first tip, I kinda disagree. It's not really about when to boop, but how to boop. In either situation, booping the Reaper can help, just think before sending him flying. Unless it's off the map. Then just boop them no matter what.
Speed.

Ya gotta spam the "hit me" voice line when in a widow 1v1
As a Lucio main just make sure you’ve reloaded before you dive that lonesome hero cause 5 burst doesn’t feel enough (I’m a console player with terrible accuracy)
He... He says his own name. All the time. Others say his name in game. Loo-see-oh
Can't tell you how many times an enemy Lucio booped me INTO their team as I was using Death Blossom.
Usually when I use Lucio he reloads automatically, I even forget that I'm out of ammo when I'm in the thick of it.
Me, listening to these tips:
Also me: "This is what you call, a gamer move" **Boop**
I had a lucio boop me into his team and it helped me kill their backline
You're welcome mate
I have mained widow since Ow1 and then took a bit of a break. When OW2 came out I hit a kind of a brick wall and am having trouble ranking up, can you do a widow habits vid or a general skill vid please. I would greatly appreciate it!
Of course! Finishing up supports then tanks before DPS but plan is everyone doing 1 a day
I’m loving the consistent content!
@@bens7622 doing what I can ❤️
Avoid damage, and patiently click heads. Aim for supports first, or pocketed dps you can one tap. Its better to not fire and keep that charge if you can line up a shot after.
My friend was about to get a team wipe with their Orisa ult, and my other friend came along and bopped them all out of LMAO
OK I know booping isn't always a good idea..
BUTTTTTT-
Lu.. Luc... Lush.... Lushio! 👍
if a reaper is going in with wraith form, my first instinct is to boop him away, cuz next he hits Q
One thing to note tho is that the boop does some nice easy damage som can be great for finishing some hard to hit people off
A bad habit I see on Lucio players is them disregarding their team and just being an annoying fly to the enemy. It's a pain to play against and even worse to play with since you're effectively down a healer
But that unprotected widow is looking _mighty_ attractive
Regarding reloading, I try to only reload in downtime no matter who I am. No reason to not have a full clip when you don't have an enemy to focus.
Rau a rollout isn’t just using movement to get to the objective faster it can go anywhere not just the objective
That’s just movement the term rollout is specifically rolling out of spawn
@@RauKnowsOW ok gotcha you I just thought it was for any where
@@RauKnowsOW this is true but it's also a little broad term. We use it from any starting point tbh in the Lucio community.
Overwatch the type of game where unbinding reload is viable to improve 💀
no, i reddit lucio. i will be wallriding straight into the back line.
You miss the real bad habit and that's not switching between heal and speed buff as much as you should
Don’t forget using healing boost exclusively.
Remember DONT boop alts into your team!
Me after watching the video :
So i have to bump them on the void right ? 🙂
I remember when I started playing Lucio I did save my team from loosing the game by staying in the objective in the overtime against the entire team till my teammates respawned and came for help and luckily we won the game and that was how I got endorsement from all of my team :)
But Lucio reload is so smooth, I gotta do it.
yeah i reload too much on most characters. it’s a cod habit coz i always use quick reload attachments and i reload everytime i release the trigger
