Blues fan here. I'm really happy that they've returned to winning ways again, it's been so long that they've won a title, and I believe that they can go all the way this season. It also helps that they will avoid the defending champions in the Finals, although now. I'm wary of the Chiefs, as they are flying under the radar.
Blues have better front row than chiefs , canes. It is the difference for the title.

agree, Clarke has been found wanting at International level by South Africa, Ireland & France too many times, goes missing for long parts of the game, at best a possible impact player but hopefully not, if you want to see workrate look at Sevu Reece for a poor crusaders team

Irish wingers aren't really a higher class anyway. I'd rate Arendse, Kolbe, Bielle-Biarré, Jordan and Telea higher than Lowe and Hansen.

forward play doesn't neccessarily mean south african. if you watch a full game youll see its the interchange of backs and forwards around the ruck that they are doing effectively. Not sure SA have the skillset for that.
@@timgregory82 I did not see the full game, but from what I saw in the highlights, and I am not only referring to forward play there was a South African feeling to their play, and if you have any doubts about our skill set you should watch the SA teams in the URC, personally I am of the opinion that we use the rumor of lack of skills to our advantage 😁

I love super rugby but the only annoying think is that a team who finishes in 8th could beat the team in first. I think that's wrong.
no no in theory you’re right but for the sake of the newly formed SRP we need 8 teams to scrap it out and as you can see the Highs have to play must win rugby to get that 8th spot so all n all should the knock the number 1 team out then it’s on the blues so good luck to whoever make the last 8 then final four and so ons
Not really a big fan of “highlights” wasting time with the teams running out, but this one suggested the Highlanders didn’t want to be there. Look at the apprehensive expressions on their faces. They knew they were in for a pasting.

Super rugby stadiums are big, premiership stadiums are small. There were probably more people at that stadium than your average premiership game
Because 100 inch 4K tvs exist now. Way better and cheaper to watch at home.

All the Blues trys look like they came from lineouts in the Landers 22. Is it poor discipline giving away penalties from the Landers?
They gave away penalties either it was a colossal amount of pressure they were put under or for the time being it stops a try
Not a fan at all of the Blues mentality or stubbornness when it comes to going for the 3 points. Even if they were up by 70 they would still kick for the corner and go for the try. This scoreboard wasn't too bad but their Points Differential doesn't do good for the comp, I hope they don't believe winning by 30 every game will make fans turn up. However can't completely blame them for being dominant (At least they haven't damaged SRP as much as Crusaders)
