I'm African-American and first heard of Selena when Jennifer Lopez played her in the movie. I was not familiar with Tejano Music outside of the videos I'd see on TV. However, when I heard this song, "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom", I immediately fell in love with this song and have been a fan of her music ever since. Of course, growing up in an African-American community listening to Selena, confused my peers 😂 but I was a Fan from that point on. Not only did I fall in Love with Selena's music, but with her Beautiful Spirit as well. I can see why she was so Well Loved. I just saw the movie again and needed my Kleenex at the end. Whenever I visit my niece in Texas and see Corpus Cristi, I always think of Selena. #RIPSelena ❤❤
