A dude with a funny accent makes a history of minecraft video and suddenly the internet is fully aware of one of the most interesting games of all time
Ok, so after trying this out for myself, some things i've learned: 1. read the text boxes. they tell you TONS of stuff. 2. Ying forest is the "main area". if you can get to one of these, it means you can always keep zooming in looking for a big yellow flower or other lucky waypoint. Dungeons i've learned about so far: Null: noob maze flowers probably aren't worth your time, but they're there in case you're having trouble with combat and are desperate for ANY upgrade. A. Yellow flowers, the simple single yellow block floating in the ying forest, are the "staple" of your upgrade loot. Their loot isn't stellar, but they're REALLY quick to complete once you find them and get the hang of them. Enter from top at appropriate size, and zip around to the bottom without shrinking down further (Unless you're trying to see if there's a reward for enough dangerous shrinks or something crazy). B. Canon towers are the next tier up. They are an orange pyramid. Enter from the bottom, zip your way to the top, defeating enemies to leave a trail of which places you've checked for an opening leading up. There's a shrinking poing next to the appropriate tile, so you can be one size too large to enter and still get in. C. BIG yellow flowers are rare, take longer to complete, but are very worth your while. Start from the top (not the exact middle unless you're rocking end game upgrades!!!), work your way down. 1. A waypoint next to a save point, making them VERY worth your while for navigation purposes 2. A cluster of yellow flowers all in one convenient place 3. A number of upgrades just for completing it. 4. I'm not certain, but ying forest within them may have a higher chance of containing a cluster of three canon towers, making them even MORE worth your while. D. Black flowers take an awful while to complete for their size. You can follow the left hand rule on each floor until you spot the way down to the next floor (it's very obvious from the next room over). I'm not entirely certain but it's possible that killing enemies opens pathways forward. Contains numerous upgrades as you go and an upgrade station and some "mid game" upgrades at the end.
Oh yeah, definitely do not attempt until you can at least do oak trees. Similar concept but the death zone is way deadlier and the main area is tougher too. Not sure id call the loot worth it for the difficulty and time either, but they DO have an upgrade station and they DO have a chance for white flowers...which is handy.if you're trying to find out whats in white flowers inside of alpha boxes like i was today.spoiler 500 gold and a blue ring that skips whatever nested nonsense of cardboard boxes, paper boxes, and health houses you took to find that white flower to put you by the alpha cube. Plus YES anounts of homing rocket ammo and some other goodies. Is it worth the nested nonsense? Idk, but its neat to know!
Hint: In yellow flowers, if you use dangerous shrink, you can find another area in grey towers. While shrinking, look for gold blocks with numbers near them shrink near them and look for another one with bigger number next to it. Eventually you will find treasure.
Another fun thing about yellow flowers is that they can spawn 3 pyramids sometimes, which can spawn jumbo yellow flower, which has 5 yellow flowers, each of which can have 3 pyramids
The totems (the grey structures with the ? Block on the top) tells you information. You can only go inside the ? And it will always give you laser cells. They are supposed to be used for info about the ying world. The blocks underneath correlate to what info it will give you. You cant go inside them.
2 recomendations for next time you play the game: 1: holding T makes you pick up everything that is close to you, but costs 10 gold. that way you can just enter a room and get everything super quick 2: press TAB to change fly mode. if you press it once you get the "rocket mode" which makes you fly a lot faster but is harder to control. press it again and you go back to normal fly mode extra: get used to using shift to stop your movement, its really good whenever you are in rocket mode extra extra: try using the "true up" in options - package top menu - video + sound - camera - true up... good luck
@@JuiceyDev i saw something once about a chunk tree, which gives me some ideas on how it could work. im thinking that a chunk can be either one whole block or a volume of blocks, and that when approaching a whole-block chunk that is a level larger than you, it will transform and generate into a volume of whole blocks
I've never heard of this game before, but at the same time, I think I dreamed of this exact game last night??? I might have psychic powers and/or be on the same drugs this game's dev was
The more you shrink the stronger the enemies get. The world is called fractal. That's why you will find a structure inside itself over and over again. If you want to get "back" to where you were before, at this point your beat bet is to find a pink sphere and use the pink spheres *repeatedly* or find a waypoint.
The end is never the end is never the end is never is never the CUBEOVERDOSE the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end is never the end
It's a fractal so bigger and smaller are almost the same thing. According to the map if you get lost go to a ying forest and then to a yellow flower or gray cube to get back to where you were. Then you can start finding grow rings. Each type of cube is essentially a world unto itself every single one of them is an almost exact copy of all other cubes of the same type. Growing bigger over and over will lead you to different places than shrinking over and over will so there is reason to do both.
Cutting the video is tough cuz in this game I have no idea where you’re going 😭 every cut is so sudden I don’t know what’s happening. But that’s probably how u feel playing the game
Cool Video!🙂 The more you shrink or grow, the more things you will find. This game is addictive Is there any chance for you to try an indie time travel game called "No Time"? It has an interesting Story!
You have to zoom in pretty far, and probably in just the right way and not randomly like youre doing, and defeat a reaalllly high hp boss for that. Either bring a ton of upgrades....or a lot of nukes
This showed up in my recommended, and I've never seen this game before. Very neat and mind-blowing. Also, what's the song in the outro? It sounds familiar, but I can't exactly remember what it's from.
Its not THAAAAAT confusing imo. Just remember 1. "Ying forest" and "Ying air" are your best friends. They're the easiest areas to grow within (shrinking is usually very easy. Growing, on the other hand? In Some areas you need to use a very much mid game dungeon called an oak tree just to grow one stage.] 2. Ying air cubes arent terribly interesting until late game, but they DO contain ying forest if you zoom in enough and thus the all important waypoints. 3. Ying forest directly contains waypoints (those can be hard to find late game and cannotbe found inside some structures), directly contains beginner dungeons like yellow flowes you can use to top off your supplies, and contains eventual acess points to almost everywhere in the game if you can brave zooming in enough.
Someone struggle with the concepts of recursion and procedural generation. It's clear the game create itself as you shrink and grow, you can shrink and go in a cube, shrink and go in a cube, shrink and .... "endlessly" (Since I haven't played the game dunno if there is not at some point a limit ) You don't get back at certain place, you reach a new "instance" of a region that wa snested inside the region you were.
A "chunk tree". Each time a chunk is generated, the game has a list of parent chunks that goes all the way back to the root universe. When you zoom in, it makes the tree longer. When you zoom out, it makes the list shorter. When generating a chunk, the game can go "ok, so these last 25 parent chunks were all yin forest. Better spawn in demons and roll to see if the trees in this area have tau moon fruits" or "Alright, 3 chunks up, that was a yellow flower chunk. Generate a thick wall of yellow blocks over there, yin forest chunks in the middle, reward room here...and don't worry about what was before the yellow flower so much"
Its helps to remember that most areas don't reaaally care what convoluted, long chain of dungeons, yin forest, tau moons, or infinity blooms you took to get there, for instance, yellow flowers are the same loot room with a bunch of ying forest below the loot room if you need to grab a waypoint, regardlessof where you found them.
You will learn the LORE of this game soon you can never know you may find a orange also grind for upgrades in weaker levels also also try right clicking
XD The world contains itself! Sorta. It helps to actually use the waypoint system, especially the ones inside jumbo yellow flowers. It also helps to remember that MOST things in this game do NOT care what route you took to zoom into them. Yellow flowers will be yellow flowers with the exact same layout no matter where you found them. Canon pyrimids with a yellow top always contain a jumbo yellow flower bonus reward. Even ying forests and their close cousins MOSTLY don't care. A ying forest is much the same if you find it directly inside a tau cave, a patch of dirt inside a mossy air dungeon, or find a patch of it deep in a nest of assorted INFINITY BLOCKS.
