- I upgraded my subwoofer box from my previous sealed box. I have not metered this one yet but i think im hitting over a 142db since my old sealed box hit a 140.7. im wired to 1 ohm now vs 2ohms before. tuned at 1300 watts with a multimeter.

@@bassheadfanatik boxes in the trunk are better off with a side port.. sub facing rear and port out the side.. my box is 1.8 at 33hz

Running the same subs in a custom under seat with 3 inch lift on a DD M2000 powered by two xs d3400s under the hood,a d975 behind the seat, and a brand x 250 large case hairpin alternator. These are my favorite 12s I’ve owed so far and I have owed plenty!!!

If your looking for some budget subs as a starter i would get 2 e12's and run about 2000 watts to them. Dont forget a good custom box and some extra electrical upgrades

Hey how’s it holding up with stock electrical? Would like to know cause I’m also running stock. What size alternator?
160 amp alt. Definitely not ideal and the amp only puts out half its true power because of it. It overheats at times and other times it goes into protect. I just got 2 northstar agm 220's and a sundown scv3000 so ill have a new video in a few weeks after its all installed

I have 2 sa v2 12's in a d4s profab tuned at 32hz 4cu.ft. air space running on a synergy WFO 35.1D. Stock electrical 130a alt, with 0 gauge OFC throughout. Big 3 done. lead acid upfront and xs power D1200 in the rear. Hits around 145db's Full tilt at around 35hz. voltage drops to 12.5 after 30 seconds and stays around 13v through music.
your setup is beating hard though on low power. I clamped about 2800 watts going to the speakers so they handle much more than 1000 watts each.

@@AudioEuphoria080 honestly the xs power battery is an awesome little guy. It is the only reason I can draw so much power. It was like $240.
Now I have to find a reason to go for a drive lol thinking about tearin up the neighborhood.

Fill the trunk lid cavities with foam that trunk will be solid
Ended up turning my subs towards the front and sealing off with pillows around the sides and under the rear deck
I got two BAMF 12s, underpowered af at 2000 watts, that hit harder and they are on stock electrical. I gotta get the 8000 watt amp for it but then it will slam. They make my whole door move

Your clipping is from liw voltage add three marine batteries to the trunk powered off your stock electrical you wont have any issues anymore dont listen to anyone who tells you differently

Have you ever turned the box to face in the cabin to see if you can hear and feel the difference if not you should try you may be able to get a bit louder
I did with my sealed box and it sucked that way lol it didnt shake anything and it was like half as loud. But i havent tried with this box since its so hard to move in my trunk

when i bought the car i didnt realize it had aftermarket speakers till i opened the rear deck, so i moved those to the front and took out the junk stock ones. The speakers in the rear deck that i moved to the front doors are Kenwood KFC-C5793PS (i call them my drumstick speakers) and then i have skar tweeters in the A pillars. Its all ran actively on a skar sk400.4d
How’d you have 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired to 2 ohms? I didn’t think that was possible…. Either 1 ohm or 4 ohms final load is the only way I know to wire those
I could definitely be wrong since im not the smartest when it comes to wiring, but i was sure i dropped from 2ohms to 1 ohm when i used 2 terminals on the amp instead of 4 since my gain would be the same when i changed my head unit from -5 to -8 on the SW level. -3db also equates to 50% less gain so it all added up to me atleast. Not totally sure what ohms i was at but 2 ohms seemed correct. I did later on switch to 1 ohm but i forget the time frame. It may have been this video that i was at 1 ohm and made a mistake when talking about it.
@@AudioEuphoria080 you were probably running woofers in series then together in parallel to a 4 ohm final load. I was just curious about that thinking maybe I was missing something. I’m currently running 2 Sundown SA10v2’s dual 2 ohm coils at a 2 ohm final load. It was either 2 ohms or 1/2 ohm final on dual 2’s and my SFB 3000d can’t run below one ohm. So they’re probably seeing around 750w each or 1500w total. I know they can handle probably twice that but I’d have to buy a 1/2 bridge Korean style 3k sub amp or recone my subs to dual 4 ohm coils to get all the power they can handle…. Or add 2 more dual 2 ohm subs but then I’d need at least a 5k amp and lithium batteries to supplement my 300a alternator and 500farad supercap bank. My 10’s are in a 6th order enclosure and sound great even tho I’m not feeding them all they want so I’m content for now, might change up in the future but those 2 SA10’s get down like they are!
@@matttownsend3069 man your right, my subs were ran in series and parallel so i guess i was at 4 ohms. Also your could get a taramps that is 2ohm rated at like 3k or get a taramps md5k that is 2ohms. They do rated power at 2 ohms instead of 1ohm for situations like yours
Use one coil from each speaker then run Parallel to amp . Final load 2 ohms out .
@goodvibesonly2156 running 1 coil reduces power handling by half and also changes how the speaker behaves because that changes the t/s parameters
I have two sa v2s and I just hit 143.3 on the meter today at 35hz and 1865watts from a wolfram 3k I’m gonna get lithium cells 64 for now will give me 5000w worth of power and then a big three and hopefully a new radio deck I can’t take my stock one out or I can’t start my car 🤣

I made a mistake, iwas at 4 ohms
Looking at getting these subs too going to run them on a DC audio 2k amp
That amp is a monster but i already have a 270 amp alt with a optima yellow top but going to get a Xs power in the back to upgrade my electrical even more
These subs will easily take that amp, honestly you could run 2 of those amps. I hope the build goes good for you

I will have them wired at 1ohm. The amp pushes over 2500 watts at times or more. That amp has a lot of power I do mean alot 😂
Yessir that amp is a beast but trust me haha those subs are even bigger beasts. My brother had 2 sa v2 10's on a synergy wfo 45.1 at half ohm and i had my 2 sa v2 12s on my 35.1 at 1 ohm
And my synergy 35.1 does 4000+ watts at 1 ohm

I bought it used for 30 bucks from some guy off facebook marketplace. I dont know the dimensions since I've sold it now but my guess is it would be about 4-4.2ft³ and it was tuned at 35hz i believe. Single baffle

Run three batteies from the amps power and ground all together the fedd your amps off that battery bank you wont habe any issues at all even with 4guage
If i did have this setup still 4 gauge would def melt under full load
@David-wg5ce not with three marine batteries on stock although yeah you will haft to let it warm up charge the bank but after that you got like an hour of run time on the way to work
I only use mine to and from work
A voltage pcm control module from u.s alts is a plus
But yeah true copper 4 Guage will handle it

Perfect timing bro! I have kenwood 5x7 coaxels and skar tweeters ran active on my skar amp, but i just ordered hertz dsk165 components and some 5x7 to 6.5" converters with some spacers and rubber cups for the door speakers. Should sound very good after all that.
Im gonna out the kenwood 5x7's in the rear deck

I got 2 SA v2 12s in a 5cu.ft. maybe tuned around 26-29, Cant really tell. Anyways, mine don't hit anywhere as hard as these. Ive had mine for about 6 months now. Full 0 gauge 270a alt running with a D4S JP23. I clip around 2000W so Im running more power than you. Got any secrets 😅.
Definitely get a bigger amp brother, those subs will take a jp23 per sub 😉
Also add tons of sound deadening and that will help too

@@AudioEuphoria080 Not entirly sure what you mean, but I have a stock battery that came with the car, ik lol. It sits at mid 13 volts, Lowest Ive ever seen it drop during a burp was high 12, less than a 1v drop. I can get back to you tomorrow with real number, cant remember off the top of my head.
Im stuck between xspower d3400 battery, or a JP33 3300W amp, or even building a new box, a slightly smaller box at a higher tuning freq, money is tight rn so I'm just trying to save.
@milky6285 you should def get a second battery, even with not much voltage drop lead acid can only discharge so fast. And agm would be much better

There is no way you had two dual 4 ohms wired to 2 ohms. It's either 1 ohm or 4 ohm.... Now if you were running a separate amp to each then okay my bad yes you would wire each sub individually to 2 ohms
Yep youre totally correct. Ive learned alot in the last year and i think i was wired at 1 ohm not 4 or (definitely not 2)
Here's my user advice for u bro. Sell that sub amp asap and get u a salt or something better cus that sub is gonna go dead soon believe me.

@@AudioEuphoria080 better off with side port in a trunk build unless you seal off with subs facing the front. Your electrical is not good enough for 2 V2s, theyll handle 2k a piece no problem
