I'm one of those people who need a little help at the Azure drop. I don't buy the 25-50 lb bags of flour, sugar etc because I don't have anyone on the home end to help me wrangle them. I buy the smaller 10 lb bags, it costs a little more but it's much more manageable. I also make a note on my order to make my repacks under 25 lbs so I can handle them all myself. Just an idea for those who shy away because of the sizes.

Love knowing that after I do my morning ritual you will have a video up before I have to walk the dog.
I imagine, now that you’ve posted this video, you’re sitting on the sofa and on your second cuppa tea and watching the likes and comments coming in. What a fun way to start your day!
I bought my first 25 lbs (when did lbs get replaced with #?)of Azure organic cane sugar last year in one of my first Azure orders. In my October order I bought 55lbs of the lovely stuff. I use it in canning and baking. The rest of my sweetening needs I use maple syrup, honey, coconut sugar, date syrup or dates and mostly in that order.
Should have gotten a second bucket with the 55 lbs. I had to put it in the one sugar bucket, two half gallon jars and four quart jars. Then I went onto my Azure list and ordered more buckets and gamma lids.
Love seeing you in the morning!
Gotta get to Traders for that winter tea still. ❤

Good morning! You are correct. Just getting moving for the day. I’m making a batch of ice cream right now to test the sugar out.

      @katescaringcorner6765 Місяць тому

@ that’s awesome! I’ve got a Dave Ramsey envelope for an ice cream maker.
Depending on your method the sugar will melt fine. If you do it the French way with a Crème Anglaise than it’ll be fine. If not than you may want to make a simple syrup. Or maybe you’d want that bit of crunch.

I definitely prefer the Costco sugar over the Azure sugar. And I get brown sugar at Costco as well since Azure only sells smaller bags of it.
I live in Oregon about 2ish hours from the Azure shipping warehouses. And I have just about given up on ordering produce from them. More times than not I have to ask for refunds. Most commonly I receive moldy produce. And it’s not because of travel time since we are so close. They are super great about refunding but there are long hold times and it messes up my meal planning if I don’t get what I need.
But overall I can get amazing products for much less. I am down to one Costco and Azure order a month save a trip or two for veggies.
Thanks for sharing your haul! I am new to your channel and love watching your videos.

I love all the nut crackers you have above the window. Your tree is beautiful. You can use some of that corn to make corny bread. I had a great laugh when you pulled out the mozzarella cheese. The Azur Standard courser sugar would be great sprinkled on top of some of your holiday cookies. You can create holiday sugar by putting some of the sugar in one of those clear plastic food containers with lids, add a small drop of food coloring, put the lid on and shake it to color the sugar and sprinkle on your cookies before you bake them or right after you’ve put royal icing on a cookie.

We use the cane sugar. You have to stir thoroughly if you use it in coffee. But it is really delicious, deeper flavored. In baking I sometimes run it in the blender for a second or two, mostly when making cookies. Any other batter is wet enough to dissolve it.
I tried the palm oil shortening and did not like it. I just prefer butter. And the Rumiano's is best, but pricey and we, too, use it where you can really taste it! 😊

Love your tree! I had never heard of azure standard until I got hooked on your videos. I recently checked into and there is an azure drop-off about 20 mins from our house. I do believe it may be at the Amish bakery and store. By the way, our county has a big portion of Amish and Mennonites. I've never even looked at their Amish store stuff but it's my son's favorite place to get cheeseburgers and cold sandwiches. So now I'm curious yo check out their cocoa and other items.
I would love you to share your tamale recipe??!! My Mother in law passed away years ago and she would ho to Kentucky after Christmas every year and they would make a ton and she would bring alot back for us to have New Years Eve. They were delicious. They used cooked and shredded beef roasts. We haven't had any since. Mamaw and her sisters have passed and we never got the recipe or hot to learn how to make. Haven't had any similar since. Thank you for introducing us to new healthy ways of doing things and making things look simple so it makes us wanna jump rt in and try ourselves. I must say that any recipe for cooking, beauty, cleaning are fantastic! Thank you Ali!! ♥

Thanks for the great Azure haul details. We’re very pleased with the Azure cane sugar. The flavor is much better than what Costco sells. If we need it for some thing cold, we just dissolve it in a little bit of warm liquid first before stirring it in with everything else. Definitely not interested in buying from Costco anymore after the last experience… every single bag of sugar on their palet was hard as a rock, like they all had holes. Reported it to the store which did absolutely nothing about it. We’ll stick with Azure!

Have you tried using castor oil on your skin? I've heard amazing things about it, even for eczema. Just a thought.
Even though I've not had a rash, I did have what I believe was a skin cancer on my leg, & also had a growth on my head, just into my hairline, at my temple area. It has been there for quite a while, & seemed to slowly get bigger. Just as an experiment, I put castor oil on it daily. Within a month it was completely gone! The spot on my leg took a little longer, but it is almost completely healed now. I know that has nothing to do with your issue, but I did read where it was excellent for eczema & other rash related issues. It would be worth a try. 🙂

The sugar from Azure looks more like a turbinato sugar. Perhaps it was accidentally
    mislabeled?

nope, that is how it has been for years. Just course.

@ I buy both the organic and turbinato(spelling) at Costco and it looks just like Azure’s. 🤷 I like the course better. It seems smoother tasting but a little harder to dissolve. I only use the course in my ice tea sugar water and the fine for baking.

I know what you mean about the rosarita refried beans all I can find are flavored beans usually and we don't like them. They definitely changed their recipe and they are just not as good.

Thank you for sharing your haul
    But...
A little expensive to ship to your house ???
It is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, I wanted to order just a few items and azure wanted to charge me $400.00

If you do the truck it is way less. I know people have said the shipping is pretty high since the weight adds up quickly. Sorry!

Do you have a good pickled beats recipe? Preferably using honey instead of sugar. We’ve been getting beats in our Azure order and I just haven’t found my best recipe yet
