Fun fact, you started off in the town of Cooper Opals, however in real life there is a regional town in Australia called Coober Peedy (Which is often reffered to as "The Opal Capital of the World," the more you know huh. Great work as always Jeff.
Coober Pedy is in South Australia. Cooper Opals is a real place too not too far south of Cooladdi in Queensland
Loving the Aussie truck simulator mate, good too see something from home instead of classic American maps, keep it up, every ATS in aus vid is gonna get a like from me
@Faze Hector American truck simulator with mods
When you pulled into the small town with the grocery store and there was a Tesla in the carpark. Haha yeah nah you don’t find them in the outback!!
But you’ll find plenty in the city/suburbs
@@jaynus9429 however that has nothing do do with the outback which is what the video is about…….
@@LTD347 I know 🤦♀️. I wasn’t talking about the video, I was talking about finding Tesla’s in the city/suburbs.
It was a yank who took a wrong turn............................
I mean there’s a chance.
I love the fact that you've picked a MACK for this video, as I know we also have a manufacturing plant for them here in Queensland in Australia, and that would be my pick if SCS ever picked up on Rob's amazing work and made Australasian Truck Sim.
Hi Jeff! I’ve been watching for about two years now, that’s when I last commented and I’ve loved every single video you’ve put up! No FivePD episode would be complete without you- you also do these type of videos very well too!
edit: there is a cool chain in the replies
Cool

Nice Jeff Australia road train nice! It’s pretty cool with the right hand side of the seat. You should take a car through the Aussie map
I’m absolutely loving these Australian episodes. 👍
Hell yeah! This is perfect timing, just about to start a soybean harvest in FS19. I love watching your ATS videos while I farm.
Cooladdi is a ghost town and rural locality in the Shire of Murweh, Queensland, Australia. In the 2016 census the locality of Cooladdi had a population of 16 people. The town is west of Charleville on the road to Quilpie, 826 kilometres west of the city of Brisbane. It claims to be Australia's smallest town

This map is awesome I’d love to see you drive around exploring in a civilian vehicle, enjoying the scenery
As I am an Aussie it is great to see this map that looks like home. Please do more of these episodes, I love them.
This video makes me realize just how much I want an australian truck sumulator, with all the good reads and cities, but also all the autback stuff, and more realistic dirt/ sand/ water physics, and maybe a more manageable map scale... (1:2 seems excessive, particularly when theroads are so streight, and the speeds are so low) It would be the perfect opportunity for SCS to give us the ability to exit our truck and interact with the exterior... Itwould also be a great opportunity to give us random realistic malfuntions, and more aspects of the truck to consider, such as high engine and clutch temperatures and risk of overheating, and the risk for random malfunctions (like water pump failures or turbos dying, or air filters getting clogged... Though the idea of random malfunctions may not add much if there is no fun or interesting way to perform a temporary repair that can allow you to go to the next town to repair things proporly)
Would love this too, I love the Outback map but I agree the scale is way too large (IMO at least)
@@vaudevillian7 I tried out the map today, and I can confirm that the 1:2 scale is a bit extreme, as it takes a really long time to do even just the intro delivery (the ingame eta was something like an hour, and it took me close half an hour in mostly a streight line with some really slight corners and alot of bumps, while pushing the starter W900 as fast as it would go...
I also found another australia map called project straylia, which is a much more video game 1:10 scale map that focuses on the southern coast of the continent, though the entire continent is technicly maped (as in the entire outline is there and you can scroll around). It`s also in it`s early stages, and there are currently only 500kms of driveable reads, mostly bitumen, but it also shows alot of promise, and the big road that makes up most of the driveable area is really wavy, and fun to drive at speed. The dirt offroads are also really bumpy, so hopefully they will add harsh terrain as well... Another advantage if this particular map is that it`s free, as opposed to the map showed of in this video, which requires you to become a patron to access, but to me it serms a bit steep to have to pay 2.40€ every month to have access to the map, considering he has apparently been releasing updates only every month and a half or so... so far I personally also kind of prefer the visuals / asset placement of project straylia, even though there are many places where there is enough vegetation and other stuff going on to where my framerate is somewhere between 30 fps and the high 40s to low 50s, on the same settings I get near constant 60 fps on ats with promods canada while running mod trucks (for context my pc is a laptop with a GTX 1650ti)... The performance on this map is better in comparison, though i also get a worse framerate than the base game, so optimizations for more low end computers needs to happen as well...
The project straylia apparently has integrated aussie spec cargo and economy mods built in, so you are pretty much guaranteed to deliver multiple trailers at once, and the economy adjustment does... something... As far as I can tell the outback mod he shows off allows you to transport the doubles already included in ATS, but you will still need to hunt down mods for aussie spec trailers...
I only did a couple of deliveries in each map, so I`m not 100% confident on which Aussie map I prefer, but I may report back later with a final opinion once I`ve spent more time with both maps... I really nedd to find some Aussie spec RHD truck mods though (that are free of course... The Mack superliner he shows off costs basicly as much as the game itself, and I`m against mod content being sold... I`m down with people plugging their patreon so that people can sipport them, but selling a piece of content that may stop working forever as soon as the game is updated, with no guarantee that the mod will be regularly updated and you will have free access to said updates, while said mod literally costs as much as the game itself, and the devs themselves add new trucks as free content, is a practice I really dislike)
Lol I couldn’t stop laughing when you went through that rough section 😂😂
What a treat to watch as an Aussie fan. Would love an Aussie truck sim from SCS!
Technically 3 trailers connected with dollies would be considered a road train, as shown in the vid. 3 trailers connected without dollies (and connected by fifth wheels) would be considered a B-Triple combination in Australia. (Similar to how two trailers without dollies would be considered a B-double). So yeah, you'd be correct calling that a road train Jeff.
A b double with a third trailer on a dolly is also a road train
such a cool map, this Truck sim stuff is really cool
Very happy to see another video on Australia! Thanks Jeff.
Another great 'outback trucking' episode Jeff, loving the righthand side drive truck interior. AIso I can tell you if the beer was only 99 cents, their would be way more then three aussie's at that pub!
Jeff: We would never want to hit a kangaroo right? *laughs evil laugh*
Those boomas are quiet the nuisance over there. They've been known to jump into your windscreen and kick the crap out of you and your interior. They are a pain to deal with.
Thx Jeff I love this video because I’m from Australia
Omg this truck is a monster
wow I just left AU from Talisman Sabre 21 and this just reminds me so much of my time there and all the truckers I talked to when I was there, definitely getting this map mod! Even all the broken down cars are accurate!
The wet season really floods up the roads so I was amazed to see the random wood in the middle of the road😎😅
26:54 RIP suspension😵
this is by far my most fav vid post more of this plz
This truck looks awesome!!
Cooladdi had actually 16 people in 2016, now 3 wow, looks like insane place.
The common road train configuration are only Triple(Full three trailers or the first two in AB and one full size) and Quads(Three full trailers while the last two are in AB). The stuff people say with Six trailers are Quarry road trains, which as its Private Property, they're allowed to pull as long as they want.
You have to try the vintage Mack R 700 in SWR made by the Brazilian Felipe, there's also the Dixon Brothers and their edit of the K100E with Aussie Aerodyne Crawler Scoops. Someone also posted there the iconic Freighter Flat Decks and the SWR Tankers and Lusty Grahame Tippers.
Love this content Jeff. Thanks again. These days im focusing on X-plane, flying airliners and MSF2020 for VFR and bush flights. I also have the TS-PC Racer and TH8A shifter for American Truck Sim and Iracing. It's amazing how much your videos has affected my gameplay and what do i play friend, so thanks for that to the MOON and back. Keep on truckin' OVE HERE.....
The truck out in the middle of no wear just reminds me of Wolf creek 2.. and that movie alone is the reason you won’t find me out there 🙈 I’m fine on the coast thanks 🙏🏼
A road train can be anywhere from two trailers right up to six. Here in NSW, you can have anything from a conmon A-double, right up to a Type 2 A-triple (53m).
Dont listen to the people saying you need the longest road train. They come in many different configurations.
Mate I’m an Aussie next episode can u drive a kenworth, only the best Aussie truck
Oi jk
Today i learned kenworth is aussie brand ?!
2 American trucks that r not in Australia is an exstened hood peterbilt and th same thing with Volvo
@@buddychubbs743 Mack, Western Star, and Kenworth ARE American brands, its just that their Australian Counterpart had to modify there trucks for it to sell to the Market. That then expanded into its own line of specialized Outback Proof Bush Spec Heavy Duty Commercial vehicles.
If you wanna know if its Aussie Kenny, look under the Cab if it has a toolbox.
I bought a T908 👀
Watch out for those Drop Bears when your out there lol
Road trains can be 2 trailers aswell mate. B doubles (like a American super b) are out to 26 meters long, a double road train is upto 36.5 meters and a triple is 53 meters long. There is alot more combinations but they're all classified as roadtrains once they're longer than 36.5m long. Road trains are also allowed to do 100km/h in places aswell.
Any questions mate, let me know. I drive them for a living haha
Triples (Roadtrains with 3 trailers are the most common sorts of Roadtrain, but only in the outback, they aren't allowed into the more built up areas of Aus
4 trailers o a truck isn't that common from what I've seen/heard of but they aren't nonexistent
There are road train assembly areas outside of towns, which allow the drivers to decouple one or two trailers and continue the run into town under the maximum length.
Jeff RTA makes a really good K200 I think that would be a good addition to the outback trucking series. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
Cool lil stop looking around kangaroo got lucky
Thats a beautiful Mack
Those little tiny towns are actually called servos in Australia
i really need these trailers its so sick
This map is sweet! Would love to take out a car mod and cruise around it solely to admire the scenery! The creator did an amazing job to it and it certainly feels realistic.
Jeff, I'd almost dare you to get a rally car to run through this without crashing 😆
Edit: Spelling mistakes, cause i'm a derp.
Challenge accepted
So awesome dude. Your videos never get old, especially the outback trucking here in Oz! Love your work mate.
Now you're driving in my home country :D Pretty authentic scenery, too.
Road trains can haul some serious behind. Awesome video Jeff, I love this mod & map.
Jeff! Start running wider Alcoa’s on your aussie trucks! It’s more realistic. Smarty’s wheel pack has some heavier front Alcoa’s and there’s also a Peterbilt rim pack with heavy rims.
Nah fam, Spyders with Offset is where the game at. 🤣
I based mine on pics off of google
i can't believe that this is in ATS, like i've been to the outback and it looks so authentic its crazy
YO JEFF!! Scs mentioned you in one of their live streams on their channel!!! Im so happy!
They are too kind!
amazing long train video
"a little rough" he says, meanwhile down here the roads make that look like pavement lol
Amazing truck/monster!
As an australian that plays ats alot, I also have the shifter on the wrong side of the cockpit. It's just what I am used to. RHD cockpit for all LHD driving haha
Love your driving
This video was amazing!!, really love seeing you drive through the map, and appreciating all the reactions. Expecially the kangaroo moments 🦘
In Australia we say "If it's flooded. forget it."
You should do Florida Man in the outback 😂
Can you do a trip from Toowoomba to Darwin my dad used to drive a truck from Toowoomba to Darwin in 3 days it would be great to see he had four trailers and a western Star love the videos
Nice road train Jeff. Wish to go to Australia sometime just to film those..
That is beautiful view
Nice rig mate 👌 , shame it's not a k909 🥰 how ever like seeing other countries take interest in our trucks.
I watched that tv series a few years ago. Good fun. Try backing up and hooking all the trailers one at a time. Then you know you are a driver. I can't.
Hey jeff, looks like you enjoy our stuff from swr, we're glad to have you over there. All the best to ya from Quennsland/ Australia.
So. The exhaust brake (Jakes) may not be used if traction is an issue. Idk how the traction is. But if the drives let go and the momentum of the trailers push, it could force a jack knife if you aren't perfectly straight.
Imagine you run out of gas in the middle of nowhere at like 2am.....thats a hell no from me
Regardless if it’s 2am or 2pm, your fucked out there…
@@joelangley7974 hahaha you are not wrong there
Saw one outback tracker where he got lost ran out of water n died(narrative of a driver on that episode)
Great truck video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks bro
Watch out for those Roos , Cattle and Brumby’s (wild horses) , Jeff 😀🇦🇺
Cool truck jeff
That's the outback for you it will only ever worsen before it gets better lmao
Cool video
Another Australian outback adventure with Jeff love the vids man I’ll watch this later just play some flight simulator
Thank you for the ride I really enjoyed that one
Those wide tracks don't normally have that many logs/rocks on them. usually they are wide open and heavily corrugated. the smaller tighter tracks yes. lots of logs and rocks
Now that's a Road Train
Hi Jeff how are you? I know it's hard to get organized with friends, but when will you make a new convoy on ATS? I'd love it if you invited Squirell too, but the tricky thing is the time between the US and England. However I really like your videos on ATS, slowly I'm recovering them all, between ets2 and ats, even if I'm Italian, I prefer ATS, the SCS is reconstructing the USA in detail, especially there are fascinating landscapes. Thank you so much for the entertainment you give me 😘👍
more of the australian stuff absolutely loving this!
You need a Kenworth to pull one of our trains..lol
The foxtrap lol we have a restaurant here in timpson Texas called the foxxhole
If any of you wondering what is the prime mover he drives, it's a Mack Titan or a Superliner if i'm mistaken please correct me if i'm wrong.
Have watched you on GTA, and have watched when you do the Coast to Coast, and have loved all of it.
I am really loving these episodes in the Australian Outback.
The graphics are absolutely amazing.
Big fan, and I look forward to more great videos.
I like it looks cool at night
Hi Jeffrey like your videos. But didn't enjoy this one very much because of the Mack thing in front of the truck that made me didn't enjoy (see) the road well and the right hand driving.
I really like off-road driving.
By the cool trailer and truck and nice driving. Thumbs up. See you later 🥰
Loved the video, wish there was something in the better state (NSW) to drive and do missions at.
As an Australian, this is cool, but I've never seen this many burnout trucks and cars on the side of the road. Maybe it's just an outback thing.
Also it would be mad if someone made am east coast Australian map since that's where majority of the population live. It would be pretty cool to see the bigger cities and beach side towns.
Cruising from Brisbane to Melbourne via the Pacific Highway would be awesome.
Can’t wait for the t908 🙌🏼🤙🏻
38:15 amazing dawn
I love how on the front of the truck it actually says road train XD
Fun fact you aren’t supposed to use engine brakes or jake breaks if you don’t have traction, and that includes dirt roads.I learned that I’m MOS school for the Marine Corps.
Thursday was my 27th birthday. My weekend will be working Saturday morning then doing fishing in the afternoon to evening and not sure what I'm doing Sunday. Working in a factory or any job takes the energy out of ya. I want to do this kind of game and have a small set up to do it. Love watching ya content keep up the good work.
I used to work 80 hour weeks in a printing factory, I can totally empathize with you. Happy belated birthday Nate!
@@jfavignano thank you so much I work in a cabinet factory that builds and manufacture cabinets ships them out all around the US. 40-45ish hours weekly. U can pass the word about my bday to the others. I'm happy that u guys make videos on my bday makes me happy.
Got my dose today. Watching the video with a sore left arm 🤓 Other than that, it's all good Jeff.
Loving playing the map
I never noticed you sat in a motion chair.😂
wow man that was wild i wonder do they have a outback steak house lololololo
Man! Life's Good
it's very possible that the hunk of crap I was in was too low-grade for it, but I wonder if there's a reverse version of that motion platforms for actual truck sway negation.
Can't beat an ATS video with Jeff!
Hell yeah that's badass
Road trains can be two trailers as long as it is a semi trailer than dolly then another semi trailer my dad has one. He has two tri Axel trailers shasey tippers a two axle dolly and the truck is a keyword t408 SAR kenworth day cab.
Hey Jeff. Don’tchu you hit that Jake boy! Don’tchu you do it lol! The sounds are pretty decent while listening to you play. Maybe it’s not so good on your end though! Great video!
Awesome video dude! I'm new to ur channel but u are already my favorite gaming youtuber!
I seen that the race is more fun to watch when your in it
