Dr.Naik is a notorious muslim preacher who presents himself as a scholar of comparative religion. He regularly gives talks quoting profusely from different Hindu scripture. Through what appears to be a mesmerizing and compelling act he aims to deviously convince Hindus that they should abandon their tradition and convert to Islam.
In this video we introduce Dr.Naik's methods, and in part 2 we analyse in detail the false claims made in a talk entitled the 'The concept of God in Hinduism.'

Even when I was a Muslim, I knew that the Hindu philosophy is too complicated for for Naik. He is just someone who has memorized the texts, spirituality is above him.

If you had understood what he said then you would not have insulted him. Know this much: 2 1/2% is on accumulated unused wealth or savings one does not use for his or her living. The 10% of income is surely more the first year, the next year too may be! But suppose someone has inherited wealth 10 times his or her income and does not need to spend any of it for living, then the person is obligated to give away 25% of his income right away after 1 year of inheritance. The guy who uploaded the video deliberately may have truncated it before Zakir completed his explanations.

Dr. Zaius In my opinion it's out of ignorance of Hinduism. Also islam is often considered & socially as well as politically accepted as equal in India which creates a false notion in the minds of common people. Hindu philosophies should be taught in schools to fight this ignorance but not as word of god but as ancient Indian philosophies & teachings coz the secularists & atheists won't like religion being taught (neither would I) but they may get furious in their opposition of non Hindus being taught those philosophies even if they're good for everyone.

No Zakir Naik maybe right. I don't mean to say that he is a genius who knows Sanskrit and has researched all these numerous Hindu scriptures. In fact it was the Hindus namely the Arya Samaj sect which did this . It is a very popular progressive Hindu Sect just read Satyartha Prakash by Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The denigration of Hindu Gods and Goddess and idol worship by the Arya Samajists is far more disrespectful and slanderous than Islamic or Christianity denigration of Hinduism. Arya Samajist are extremely opposed to idol worship. My grandfather accepted Arya Samajist ideas and it caused a great difficulties and embarrassment in my family. So this original case against idol worship in Hinduism was originally built by Hindus themselves i.e. Arya Samajist. Then the Ahmediya people picked from them and first mention of Hindu Scripture opposition to idol worship and Muhammad in Hindu scripture was done by Maulana Abdul Haque Vidyarthi in his book " Muhammad in World Scripture" in 1936. www.muslim.org/islam/miws/author.html Zakir Naik simply read this book and throw the references around as if he is a Sanskrit Scholar who knows Hindu Scripture better than the Hindus themselves !

Sheel Ratan : I agree with you that Arya Samajis are bringing a great shame to India and Hinduism by spreading twisted translations but it came out as a response to Islamic attacks and conquests. If you ever argue with an Arya Samaji, they often bring up the point that if you keep on with multiple God worship and idol worship then Islam will attack you and devour you. Also I feel they are very scared of speaking against Islam and only if they convert from Islam to Arya samaj then only they speak against Islam else they stay quiet and behave in a similar fashion like commies do whenever it comes to topics like national security etc. They have now joined hands with Islamic fundamentalists also and are providing them intellectual materials and promoting them by giving them a basis that they're doing something right.

I held a great contempt for my guru in my past life and believed that I did not need a guru at all and I could reach God all by myself as I was a yogi in my past life. So God gave me a chance to discover God on my own in this birth at the same time making me realize the importance of a Guru as I wasted half of my life in darkness. Astrologically, my Guru grah is vakri in my chart because of the same reason.

I personally don't even consider Hinduism a religion but culture that has existed for thousands of years with thousands of scriptures that have stories some on many based on actual historical events (but probably got spiced up over the years) & lots philosophical teachings, morals, ethics, values, etc. Hinduism doesn't have a rule book to follow nor has a name for itself (Hinduism is just a combination of the _Persian word Hindu_ initially given to the river _Sindhu_ & then to people living there & beyond, _ism_ is just an English suffix).
So, I see Hinduism as something unique in today's world but started as naturally as nature worshipping with initial gods probably being elements of nature like water, fire, wind, etc. then going further like rain, sea, sun, moon, etc. with civilisation gods for education, wisdom, art or music, love, etc. as well as material goods like wealth. I think it's just evolutionary & similar patterns would probably appear everywhere like native Americans, Africans, Asians, Europeans, etc. In my opinion it's far better than following a rule book that's so strict that breaking it's rules is punishable by death or killing is justified for breaking those rules that may not even hurt any individual.

I am a muslim and just to clarify, zakir naik is a highly unpopular figure in our circles. Most of the schools of thought in Islamic world I'm aware of sees him as a deviant and stupid man. Idk why such a media hype around this mere doctor. He doesn't represent our philosophy, while he has a right to preach but he has no right to represent us. He is ignorant and thinks he knows a lot.

My Hindu brothers try to explain the issues of idol worship and beef eating in Hinduism through many videos and writings. They say that there is no mention of idol worship in any of the Hindu scriptures. So they think that they can worship some of the creations of the Creator (humans, plants, cows, etc.). But do they not think that if the Creator He used to support idol worship then why he did not mention it in their main scripture Veda because it seems that idol worship has now become the basic foundation of Hinduism. They also say that Shiva, Durga, Kali, Rama etc. are a part of their God. They often pray to these deities without praying to God. For example, they pray to God for knowledge, they pray to Durga for wealth, and so on. But why do they bow to the creation of the Creator and why do they want something from them. Aren't they making the Creator small through this ??? And does that not mean that the Creator is incapable of meeting our needs ????? If they are great personalities then you can respect and love them like Muslims love their prophets and messengers but why do you want anything from them and bow down ??????
Your main scripture, the Vedas, clearly states -
1) They are immersed in darkness; those who worship any natural object, such as fire, trees, snakes, etc. (Yajurveda Chapter 40 Anu 09)
It is from Gita-2) Those whose judicial intellect has been taken away by worldly desires worship evil demons. (Bhagavad Gita Chapter 06: 20)
3) There is no idol of Almighty God. (Yajurveda Chapter 32 Anu 03)
4) They are in more darkness who worship man-made objects. Such as clay dolls etc. (Yajurveda Chapter 40 Anu 06)
Look at Islam, there is no prophet or messenger who spoke of their own worship, but in the morning they spoke of the monotheism and worship of one God. But don't they see Muslims. Muslims are the most religious nation in the world because Muslims are the ones who accept the most sacrifices. Such as five daily prayers, 30 fasts in the month of Ramadan, paying zakat, etc. Do people of any other religion make so many sacrifices ???? But Muslims do not obey any real God. We worship Allah without seeing Him.

I would appreciate if there was awareness in people to call it Sanatan Sanskriti or Vedic Dharma. Sanatan Sanskriti is repository of knowledge with human evolution. This evolved with the time and yug (kaal).
1.Since Dharma evolved and led humans from darkness to light from ignorance to knowledge. "tamso ma jyotirgamaya". There was no other religion to compete So there is no name, no rules for bashing other religion and concept of conversion. You can't bash criticize or compete non existent.
2. This is why got more than 1400 books scriptures on various topics helpful in material and spiritual life and this knowledge evolved with time.
3. Ayurvda, Medicine, Vyakrna, Natyashashtra, state crafts, yagya hawan ritual, philosophy, astrology, Jyotish, poetics, sangita shastra, yoga, Veda,Vedanta, Puran, Mimansa architecture mathematics to name a few. Books are available on every aspect of human brain can imagine in such a detail that only one book Mahabharat contains one lakh shlokas.
4. In short Dharma is celebration of the diversity of Human knowledge.
5. We as a layman only know about Dharma as a blind man knows about elephant after holding the tail of the elephant.
6. Most of us are only able to know what we see on daily basis like nature and creation worship. And on the basis of this we criticize and appreciate dharma. But Dharma criticize none. Dharma don't give scope for criticism but enlightenment and seeking truth .
7. There is so much more to know. Since I am born in a Dharma followers family. Therefore I celebrate the diversity of human thoughts with ease. Dose not mean i know everything. But once you will know Dharma out of the set criteria of Abrahamic religion for Dharma. You will find nothing to criticize like a blind man holding an elephant tail and saying why he is made to hold a snake. Instead of criticism You will question and seek answers.
8. For example when you see a survivor on discovery eating dead animal poo and pee either you appreciate or criticize this. But no one can deny that this human will survive the odd. And Dharma have a complete set of philosophy and practicing sect called aghori. However a few. To make sure that the human will survive the extreme. Human will not die out because of the certain dogmas made by the so called civilized society or religion. Dharma supports all accommodates all.
9. Religion ends at heaven and hell only but the Dharma gives to strive even beyond this. That's Moksha complete liberation.
10. If someone adopts Sanatan dharma way of life. He automatically fits into the either Varna Vyavstha Brahman Kshatriya Vaishya Shudra according to profession or Ashram Vyavstha Brahmacharya Grihasth Vanprasth and Sanyas. Varna division start from us. Our head is our brahma to control our shoulders are our kshatriya to protect us our stomach is our vysya to feed us and our foot are our shudra to serve us.
Another term division of profession. Which exists all over the world in different forms. And this is most scientific division of profession to avoid conflict in society. This Varna can be achieved by your Karma. To fit into Ashram one has nothing to do. Fits in naturally and can stay in any of the phase as long as he wants.
Now it depends on us that we respect equally to our teacher and our toilet cleaner. Which Dharma clearly says respect each and every thing. This is why worship for all not only to teachers. So if you respect your teacher and toilet cleaner equally you are a great Dharmik person. Now where you see fault in this varna system. 11. Comparing Dharma with one book one prophet religion is not a good idea. Can only increase ignorance. Dr. Zakir Naik's show is not about money, he will be judged for the love of money. Basic Principles
Sanatana Dharma recognizes that the greater portion of human religious aspiration has always been unknown, undefined, and outside of any institutionalized belief.
The universal flow of Dharma, regardless of what name you call it, whether Dharma or some other name, has eternally existed. It has been before any of the great teachers were born. It is not better than, or alternative to, but is inclusive of all. Dharma is that out of which our earth and humanity itself emerged. Dharma not only is, but always was, and always will be. To live in alignment with, and to know the true nature of that Sanatana Dharma is one of the ways of describing the higher goal of life.
Sanatana Dharma thereby gives reverence to individual spiritual experience over any formal religious doctrine. Wherever the Universal Truth is manifest, there is Sanatana Dharma - whether it is in a field of religion, art or science, or in the life of a person or community. Wherever the Universal Truth is not recognized, or is scaled down and limited to a particular group, book or person, even if done so in the name of God, there Sanatana Dharma ceases to function, whatever the activity is called.
Sanatana Dharma comprises of spiritual laws which govern the human existence. Sanatana Dharma is to human life what natural laws are to the physical phenomena. Just as the phenomena of gravitation existed before it was discovered, the spiritual laws of life are eternal laws which existed before they were discovered by the ancient rishis (sages) for the present age during the Vedic period. Sanatana Dharma declares that something cannot come out of nothing and, therefore, the universe itself is the manifestation of the Divine being.
Since Sanatana Dharma is referring to those ways of being which are in concert with the Absolute, and are therefore axiomatic laws, this term is not referring to something which is open to alteration. Just as the laws of gravity, mathematics or logic are not open to sectarian debate or relative opinion (gravity, for example, is an inherent law of nature regardless of whether one believes in the law of gravity or not), similarly the subtle laws of God transcend all partisan concerns.
The world is made up of three tendencies called gunas: sattvic, rajasic, and tamasic. Sattvic tendencies are those that are pure, clean, good, wholesome, calming, and peaceful. Rajasic tendencies are those that are active, moving, indecisive, and forceful. Tamasic tendencies are those that are inert, lazy, dull, and dark. If it were not for these three tendencies, we would not exist. Everything is a mixture of them. Even a saint, who is primarily sattvic, has some level of rajas and tamas in him/her, however small.
Sanatan Dharma makes use of yoga as the means to attain moksha (God-realization). Yoga has been poorly translated to mean "union". It does mean "union", but that is a poor definition because it encompasses so much more. Yoga is the union with Brahman (Absolute God). Yoga is also the means to achieving union with Brahman. Therefore, the word yoga is not merely a statement of union, but it encompasses the actual experience of liberation.
